Bob leaned over the deck as he sighed. It's been close to six months since he entered the world of One Piece, but he couldn't do anything.

In his prior life he was a NEET, aiming to become a hermit or sage. As long as he stayed to himself no one bothered him. The last thing he remembers was going to sleep, then he had a strange dream. When he woke up he was here in this world.

"What's wrong with the kid now?"

A rough man with a rifle hung over his back asked.

"No clue, he's been staring at the sea for a while. Maybe he misses his home. Don't know what the cap was thinking picking him up."

"Haha, his thoughts are his own, no one can tell what's on his mind."

"But gotta say, besides his blue hair don't you think he looks like the captain?"

"Shanks? No way! I know exactly what you're thinking."

Both men started laughing.

This kid, Shanks child? Not in this lifetime!

Bob could hear the nonsense that these two men were talking about. To him it meant nothing, he was just hoping he'd be able to survive in this world until he turned 18.

Once that happened, he'd go around maybe become a pirate or pirate hunter, maybe even an admiral.

There was always an adventure at sea, but he was only 10 years old right now. He couldn't do much of anything.

It's pretty funny how he ended up on this ship with Shanks crew.

As soon as he woke up in this world he was getting bullied by some children much larger than him. Therefore he started to flee for his life, and when he lost the kids he hid in a barrel.

That barrel he hid in was then moved onboard a ship. When Bob realize what was going on, he was actually scared to even look. What if it was a really bad pirate? Maybe even some slave traders?

The only reason he came out of the barrel was because it was opened up.

The crew member was surprised and told Shanks what he found. At that time, they were already set off far from the island.

Shanks was already on a journey back to his hometown, so he said they'd drop him off there.

Since that happened, Bob has been obeying the crews commands and orders. They basically just had him help clean the deck when needed, or clean the plates after chow was served.

No one thought much about him at first, nor was their guard up. He was a 10 year old boy, what could he possibly do? Therefore, he was able to go to most places on the ship without a problem.

During the six months he's been here, he observed the crew studying up on how things were ran.

He could roughly guess the current timeline in One Piece. Going by Shanks still having both his arms and his straw hat, it was before Luffy ate the devil fruit and fell into the sea. Therefore Luffy is roughly 6 or 7 years old now.

He could be 6 because it could be 1 year before both he and Shanks first met. He could also be 7 at this time and he would receive his devil fruit powers when Shanks reached the village.

That means that there were currently 10 more years until Luffy began his adventure as a pirate.

Bob began to think about all the adventures that Luffy would have, causing him to get excited. What if before Luffy set off he befriended him and joined his crew? Couldn't he also become a straw-hat pirate?

Luffy and Bob, the amazing duo! Thinking about it caused Bob to laugh to himself.

Who was he kidding, he was not cut out for a pirate life.

Getting beat up by those children scared the crap out of him. If anything, he'd rather run a bar or something. At least then he'd be able to have a peaceful life!

Bob's life upon the ship continued, he became so familiar with Shank's crew that he almost felt as if he was one of the red-haired pirates.

Time seemed to fly by as months flew past in the blink of an eye.

"Finally! I see land!"

"Oh! We're finally here."

"Foosha Village, we're back home after a long time!"
