Rainbow, a lovely girl who lives in a small town in southern China, has a brother that is six years old younger. Their parents had a store to sell fruits. Everything seems good during their childhood. But several years later, daddy's business had a big loss and owe a lot of money. To seek for better job opportunity to pay back,Rainbow's parent move to a major city (S city) to work since she is in the first grade of high school. After then Rainbow and her brother become "the left-behind child".Even though their parents work far away, but the love to their children never fade away. They will send many stuff home and visit them once a month. And every summer and winter,their parents will pick their children to where they work now.

Rainbow's brother really good.Since their parents far away working, he did not cry or had a temper but stay good with his sister. His sister always forgot things, and brother helped and found them back; Brother did not want to wake up to school, and sister will set the alarm and woke up her brother after she settled down herself; The two sibling willl together to grandparents' home to eat. Rainbow treats her brother as the most important person in the world, the same with her brother.

Time flies fast and seven years passes by. It is the last year in Rainbow's university.Now her roomate is disscussing about which city to work.

Vicky hopes to work in a northern city because she was born in south and never saw snow,so she wants to go to the north city to work.

Rona makes promise with her boyfriend to go to his city to work.
