《The Strongest Skill: Getting rich while becoming stronger》459. Resturant Mishap 2

-Restaurant Mishap (2)-
The shout was very loud, attracting everyone’s attention in an instant. Kenshin looked in the direction and found a few people, obviously, hunters were sitting on a table of their own. The one who shouted was a fairly young man in flamboyant clothes, holding a huge beer mug. He had green hair, styled in an old-school Mohawk. His eyes and nose were pierced and a tattoo on his neck, going down.
“You trashes, how dare you make noise in a place like this? How dare you do that in the presence of this me? You want to die?” the young man obviously too drunk to realize what he was saying. But given his status, even if he was sober, he wouldn’t have cared anyway.
Although the hotel was a five-starred international one, many local guests were also there. When they saw it was actually this young man who was creating trouble, they left the premise silently. Foreigners might not know him, but they were very clear about his background. They knew the horrors awaited people who went against him in the past, so how can they stay there and be dragged into this mess?
Praying for the poor family that triggered this young man, they silently left. The lighting of the restaurant gave them excellent cover to silently leave undetected. Many who couldn’t leave and didn’t leave, that comprised of brave and foreign customers, all silently sat there to watch a show. After all, nothing was more entertaining than watching someone in trouble.
Narrowing his eyes, Kenshin looked back, “Are you talking about us?” After all, there were too many people there if this man wasn’t talking about him, then he shouldn’t interfere. No need to create trouble when there was none.
The young man snorted, “Who else here shouting like some chap? This is a high-class restaurant, how can you behave like a plebeian in here? Do you believe I can throw you out of this restaurant with just one word?”

“Haha!!” the three-four people behind the young man started to laugh loudly after hearing him boast. Well, in reality, he wasn’t boasting anyway. He indeed has the power to do what he said, but, that’s only limited to common people. People with some social standings could easily resist his methods and even make a counter-attack. From a look, they realized that Kenshin’s group was not locals. Since that’s the case, what social standing he could have?
“Oi, someone switch on the lights. I want to see the face of the bastard who dared to be arrogant before me!” The young man felt pumped up from the cheering of his companions and became even more audacious. A waiter who was nearby running up to switch on the lights. They were going on with the theme of ‘candlelight dinner’ so the lighting inside was deemed purposefully.
Another waiter ran towards a backroom and arrived at a luxurious office where a middle-aged woman with few wrinkles on her face, was typing away something on her computer. He didn’t bother with knocking as it was a state of emergency.
“Manager, it’s bad! Chief Kamizuki’s son is creating trouble again. This time it is with a tourist.”
“What?” The woman stood up instantly, giving the poor waiter a piercing glare. Then she sat down and opened her computer, “Which table the guests are sitting at?”
“Table 5”
The woman accessed the table lists, when she saw the name of the customer who was sitting on it, she couldn’t help but gulp a mouthful of air loudly. As a five-star hotel, the guests need to book a table beforehand. Therefore their names and details were saved on the main computer. Seeing his manager showing a very unnatural expression, the waiter asked worriedly, “What is it the manager? Aren’t you going meddle this time? What if that guy does something to them? I don’t think we can handle another meeting from the tourist bureau. They have already warned us last time!”

“It’s not that I don’t want to go in and meddle… it’s just that I can’t this time.” The woman sat on the chair, looking even more worried than before. She thought for a moment before pulling out her mobile and dialing a number saved as “General Manager”. Seeing his manager going to be busy with her own matters, the waiter excused himself out of the room.
Back in the dining area, things were boiling to a breaking point. When the waiter switched on the light, everything became visible to everyone. As for the young man with a Mohawk haircut, he was stunned for a second after seeing the people sitting on Kenshin’s bench.
Both Chiba and Mrs. Yui were beautiful. One was a mature beauty while others were a fatale in making. Chiba was wearing short shorts that showed a lot of her long legs and milky white skin, a t-shirt, and sneakers. Her red hair was tied in a long low ponytail. Mrs. Yui dressed in a more conservative way, a long-sleeved button-down shirt, and loose jeans with sports shoes.
However, even though she was dressed conservatively, it did nothing to hide her beautiful appearance. In the end, the Mohawk guy and his friends couldn’t control themselves and inadvertently stepped on foot on their graves, while dragging everyone behind them together.
“Oh, look there are some beautiful guests with them too!” the Mohawk guy laughed as he stumbled closer to the table, “How is it big sister, care to share a drink with me? Ah, you can also join us, a lady with red hair, haha!!”
While saying so, he also extended one of his hands towards Mrs. Yui who was sitting closer to the direction he came from. Just as he was about it touch her, a very calm and cold voice resounded through the silent restaurant, “You better not proceed with what you are doing. Or else you won’t even know what will happen to you…”
Kenshin was looking at him in the eye, calm and relaxed. But his posture said otherwise. He looked so calm that it gave one the impression of a storm’s advent.
“Huh!!” The Mohawk guy stopped and looked at Kenshin angrily, raising his middle finger he was about to shout something but was stopped when a burst of killing aura was directed towards him. The Mohawk man felt like a huge mountain was weighing on his shoulders, he tried to resist the pressure but couldn’t for long, and against his will, he slowly kneeled on the ground. But the pressure didn’t lessen, in fact, it increased by several folds, forcing his head to the ground.
However, to the viewers outside, it was as if the Mohawk man suddenly stopped talking and kneeled on the floor on his own accord.
“Oi, Aki! What are you doing?” His companions instantly sobered up and shouted from their spots. But they didn’t come out to save him. Though they all are hunters and quite strong ones at that, they didn’t want to get into trouble with this seemingly ordinary man who could make their leader bow down soundlessly.
Kenshin looked at the group and said indifferently, “You dumbasses should take this shit stain and scram from here. If I see you a second longer than it's necessary, I will crush to a meat paste!”
This triggered the group, after all, they all were hotblooded young men. How could they endure it after being looked down on? Just as one of them was about to stand up, he was affected by a huge presence and nearly kneeled on the floor from it alone. But although he managed to endure the pressure, his eyes, nose, and mouth started to bleed. Before long he too lost his consciousness like the Mohawk guy.
“Get out!” Once again Kenshin repeated the order. However, this time no one dared to go against him. They just grabbed their unconscious teammates and scurried away.

Who else will they meet along their journey, and to find what he is looking for, how far will the wizard have to wander west? NOTE: The above synopsis is intentionally written to be as spoiler-free as possible. If you would like a more in-detail synopsis, one that contains minor spoilers, please check out the "Synopsis" chapter at the beginning of this fiction. If you read and enjoy, please leave a rating or review! FORMERLY TITLED: THE GLIMMERLING This story was formerly titled "The Glimmerling", because the first part was a short story of that title; it has since been expanded upon, thus the title change. Chapters 1-8 (30k words) are the first 'arc', if you want to get a feel for the story. To give some context on the setting: Magic is a bit weaker in this story than you might be used to, and we start off following some relatively new magic users. For some perspective, being able to light a campfire with magic is considered relatively advanced for someone who is the age of the main character. Magic can become very powerful - and there are some examples of powerful wizards within this story - but it's not where the main characters are yet. Part of the story is about following them as they learn more about magic. Enemies are also very dangerous, and running, hiding, or trying to talk their way out of a dangerous situation is often a better choice than fighting for the characters. While I have added tags for traumatizing content, sexuality, violence, swearing, etc. I try to avoid super-explicit descriptions of these things. But they are part of the story.
