-A Survivor-
*Roar**
The massive monkey roared violently, as a huge explosion occurred somewhere in the top that wasn’t visible from the ground. On the other hand, the death shogun on foot recklessly hacked at it. To the two minions, Kenshin had given the [Plasma Blast] to the ghoul and [Earthen slicer] to the death shogun.
Both monsters were sparing no effort on using the skill and harassing the huge monkey. On the other hand, due to his skill being used frequently, Kenshin’s skill exp was rising like a surging tide. In no time, the newly acquired [Plasma Blast] had risen by two levels and was heading towards 3 like a bullet train. On the other hand, skills like [Earthen Slicer], [Exploding Domain] …which were his older skills were leveling up slowly.
Kenshin found a new way to grind his skill levels that day. It's because, although the minions were using the skills, it was ultimately his skills. The source of power was him, so the EXP gained goes to him. The best thing was that these minions weren’t using his MP to cast the skills. They had their own MP bars.
Deep below the ground level, Kenshin couldn’t help but cackle madly. This upgrade and bonus skill he received after leveling up his [Summon Minion] was really a cheat skill, among others. Not only the summons had half of his full chat, but they also have their own MP and HP bar. Which, after his newly acquired subskill [Give] became more of a cheat skill. As such, how could he not spam skills to increase their level?
In a fight where he had to fight, he had to take notice of many things. But here, he need not worry about anything other than respawning who were killed. Besides, now that they possess such a huge amount of INT and WIS, they can think about themselves and come up with strategies to deal with their enemies. He didn’t need to actively control their movements every second.

“Damn, I should have done this earlier…” he couldn’t help but scold himself for being tardy and not able to take advantage of his system. It was at this moment, a notification came to his view, followed by a level up message.
[Ding* you have killed a Lv 132 Herbiore Leonsa. You have gained experience.]
[Ding* you have leveled up twice.]
[your level has risen to lv 96. You have received 16 AP and 5 SP]
[You have received 40k golds]
[You have received 2 killo Cod Stone.]
[You have received a rank c item. Stored to inventory.]
[You have received 5 Medium HP potion, 2 Medium Mana Potion.]
With this, he leveled up again. Unfortunately, he also discovered that once a minion was made, it can’t level up no matter what. Well, there was nothing like absolute invisible skill, after all. A limit should be imposed on everything. Kenshin felt the limit of this skill made sense, besides, after he levels up and becomes more strong, the minions he would create would have more abilities and power.
“Yes, a few more levels and I would be…” Kenshin sighed excitedly. Currently, he had encountered a problem. Most of his physical stats like ATK, AGI, and even PHY had stopped growing at 1999 with a caption attached that says [To be awakened]. The meaning was clear as day, he had reached the physical cap of his level. He needs to awaken if he wanted to increase his stats anymore. He could use his evolution token, but Kenshin was saving on it to use after he awakens. After that, when he uses it, he might receive an even more advanced upgrade than now.
“Hehe, two out of 6 gone. Nice…” Kenshin counted. There are still 4 left, if he succeeds to kill them, he might level up all the way to 100.
On the other hand, Lyda’s face twisted into an ugly frown. Two of her precious summons died just like that. Moreover, she couldn’t understand how a mere low-level monster could kill them…she couldn’t make head or tails of this situation. It was frustrating and alarming at the same time. If these low-level monkeys are so powerful when summoned by Kenshin, what would happen when he summons powerful monsters?

For a second Lyda thought to abandon everything and run away. But, she had nowhere else to run. She knew Kenshin deliberately pulled her into the dungeon so that she would be trapped. Not that she can't exit the dungeon, but it more like, Kenshin won't allow her to do so.
Its what Lyda thought anyway. Kenshin had no such grand plans, he only wanted to spare the town of needless death and destruction. It had nothing to do with trapping her or not. It was a huge misunderstanding on Lyda’s part, but thankfully there was no one else there to clear her misunderstanding.
“Everyone, Finish them.” deep underground, Kenshin sent an order.
Heeding his call, the first one to move was the zombie who was staring at the Lyda. Its body enveloped in a huge mass of flames as it lunged at Lyda with a blazing sword aiming to barbecue the centipede. A huge flame pillar rose from around the death shogun and created a circle around the centipede, not allowing it to leave the zone.
After that, it slashed its sword at the centipede’s head. A huge wave of flame condensed into a sword print and headed at the centipede’s head. When it impacted, a loud explosion blew everything away. It was so powerful that, Lyda was pushed off the centipedes head. But with a roll in midair, she landed gracefully on the ground.
Just as she was about to help her summons, a fist landed heavily on her face, followed by a sword stab to her right ribs. Looking back, she couldn’t help but snarl in anger. Looking at her in apathetic eyes was none other than Kenshin, who held the hilt of a pure green sword that was giving off a bright green light.
“You!! You bastard! How can you be like this?” she snarled in anger and tried to summon her magic, but suddenly she felt an intense pain in her body, followed by a burning sensation in her veins as if someone was inserting hot rods in them.
“What…what the hell you do? what is that sword?” Lyda stammered amidst the pain she was suffering from.
“This is just a normal one-time consumable paralyzing sword…but it got a cool sounding name. You wanna know? Its called Demon Suppressing Needle…though it doesn’t look like a needle at all. Whatever, you will be unable to move and use the magic of any kind for 74 hours…after which you will die from poisoning. It cost me 10,000 gold coins, you know?” said Kenshin coldly and twisted the sword for added effect. After that, he left its hilt. The sword gave off a bright glow before vanishing into her body.
Lyda silently screamed as her mouth couldn’t open due to paralysis and fell to the ground like a mannequin. After she fell down, Kenshin sighed and sat down near her face, looking at the slaughter done by his minions.
“You know, I must thank you for this. If you haven’t attacked me, I wouldn’t have gained such a powerful skill.” grabbing her hair, Kenshin lifted her head and placed a rock below her chin to support her head. she had fallen face down so.
He wanted to see her while he slaughters her summons.
Lyda had brought out Kenshin’s true inner self. An unfeeling personality that would not back away from using the nastiest trick in the book to end his enemy. He wasn’t a hero, and he didn’t want to be a hero. He just wants to survive, for, he was a survivor.
He can only show this side in the absence of others.
