-Rematch against Lyda (2)-

*Boom!!!!

As soon as Kenshin entered the dungeon, he forgoes all inhibitions and let loose all his power. His aura explodes, rocking the very very ground he was standing on. Cracks and fissures spread everywhere with Kenshin at its center.

It was at this moment, Lyda entered the dungeon with anger bursting out of her eyes. Seeing the destroyed surrounding area around her, her first instinct was to summon one of the monsters in her collection and protect herself.

That’s what she did. She hastily summoned a centipede-like monster and had it roll around her in a protective barrier. The center emitted a red light from its body which created a barrier around Lyda, protecting her from everything outside.

“Your reactions to the situation isn’t bad!” Kenshin commented when he saw this. He was yet to make any moves, and yet this lady had already planned ahead to protect herself. But such barrier had no meaning to him, with his divine skill, he could literally ignore all barriers, and if he uses [Opposites] wisely, there was no barrier that could stop him.

With the mighty aura coming off his body, Kenshin walked step by step while rhythmically knocking the blade in his hands on his shoulders. After reaching near the barrier, he hacked it with his sword, but except for a few sparks that emerged when the sword slid through the hardened body of a centipede, there as no other reaction. Well, Kenshin wasn’t also expecting any kind of reaction, to begin with, he was simply testing the barrier.

Lyda, seeing that Kenshin couldn’t penetrate through the barrier, took a breath of relief sneered at him, “Kenshin Muto, today’s the day you are gonna die. After killing you, I am gonna kill that bitch that was with you that day. I will wash away this shame and take revenge for injuring me.”

It was clear that Lyda had unsalvageable anger and hatred towards Kenshin whose source lied in his atrocity of killing her prized snake. Just by thinking of that made her anger break the limit. She just hoped she could chew on this human’s bones and nibble on his ligaments.

Kenshin didn’t pay her anger any mind and instead prepared to break through the barrier and kill her in one go. He didn’t want to drag a fight that was pending since his mission from two months ago. She also had incomparable anger against that couple who had attacked her after Kenshin and Vera’s escape, but they were too strong, and she didn’t dare to go against them. Due to this, she channeled all her anger towards Kenshin, who in her view, was the weakest.

Boom!!

The ground broke open, with a huge glowing blue driller busted out. The driller then opened like a flower and revealed the hideous appearance of a monster which had a crocodile-like mouth and a flower-like body. It had blue tentacles coming off its ass that moved around like snakes.

Lyda then summoned another monster.

Suddenly a huge shadow cast upon Kenshin. Looking up, he saw a giant bird coming down at a very rapid pace.

*kaw*

Its roar was like that of a crow’s, loud and irritating. Feeling imminent danger, Kenshin backstepped and made a backward roll to avoid being caught by those iron like talons as it tore away a huge chunk of mud from the ground. Kenshin estimated the bird’s sized to probably exceeding 10 meters. The lion-flower(?) like thing was near ten meters. But Lyda wasn’t done, she summoned another pair of monsters.

A huge monkey, so big that its head couldn’t be seen from Kenshin’s position jumped down from somewhere, making a huge booming noise, sending fissures and cracks everywhere. It's at this instant, the whole dungeon shook as if it was being hit by a Richter 9 earthquake. Then a small monster which was as big as a small sparrow flew down from the sky and moved around each monster while chirping soundly.

Still, Lyda wasn’t done, she then summoned another monster which happens to be her last for the day. She couldn’t summon anymore as her magic couldn’t support anymore. Suddenly everything enshrouded in darkness, the first floor of the guild which was a vast grassland, having a massive open sky, completely engulfed in pitch darkness.

Suddenly the darkness compressed until it resembled a humanoid figure. Slowly the vague humanoid figure transformed into a devilishly charming male with black wings on his back. This man had black hair, skin that whiter than snow, long nails, and two black horns on his forehead. After slowly opening his eyes, he flew towards Lyda and easily bypassed through her barrier and kneeled on one knee. Grabbing one arm of Lyda, he gave it a kiss and looked at her with inexpressible adoration.

“Ah! My lady! How beautiful you look today…did you summon me to perhaps spend some time with me?” he sounded extremely polite, like a man who was devoting his life to his love.

Lyda snorted in disdain at his attempt of wooing her, pointing the finger at Kenshin she said “It's because of his that I summoned you. Go and kill him. He had humiliated me once before, I must take revenge.”

“What? Somebody dared to humiliate you, my master? Who is he?” as if someone killed his parents, the devilish angel man looked like he would tear apart the sky and shatter the ground. His eyes were red as fumes came out of his ear. “Him? Is that him to humiliate you, my lady?”

“yes, it's him. Now go and kill him for me.” Lyda shouted angrily while gritting her teeth.

“As you wish, my lady.” The man nodded and came out of the barrier and floated above in the sky. Looking at Kenshin in disdain, he shouted “Filthy human, how dare you humiliate my mistress? For this sin, your punishment would be suffering in torment for all eternity. Prepare yourself and be ready for me to kill you.”

While the man was shouting something, Kenshin pointed his index finger at him. Ten big stars conjured around his index finger, before fusing into one big star atop his finger. With a command from Kenshin’s mind, it streaked across space and passed through man’s chest. Just as it exited from the other side, Kenshin detonated it.

Boom!!

A huge explosion rocked the sky, sending the man who was just trash-talking sailing into the land. He fell down like a kite with its strings cut. But there was no blood, only dark smog coming off his body. Kenshin knew the man had taken a huge deal of damage from that star explosion that why he wasn’t worried that the man wasn’t wounded.

Lyda looked at the man in disdain before commanding all her minions to attack Kenshin together. She had once experienced Kenshin’s power, she wasn’t going to take any chances. She was also a little bit worried about that laser attack he just did, it was able to instantly defeat one of her 9 soul-bonded monsters. But she instantly regained confidence when she remembered that she was currently inside an unpenetrable barrier.

“Die bastard!!”

At this instant, under her command, all her summoned monsters attacked Kenshin from all sides together. Kenshin took a basic sword stance as he held the [Blackmoon Beheader] in a thrusting motion. He knew this battle was going to be his hardest battle as of yet, with so many powerful monsters attacking him together unless he uses all his strength, he might actually die for good after exhausting all his spare lives.

“AAHHH!!” Giving out a warcry that resounded across the grasslands, Kenshin ran towards the group of monsters, showing extraordinary valor.

…

“Wow! Are you seeing this brother?” crouching a few distances away from the site of this epic battle, two hunters were watching in secret. They had come here to hunt some ogres and get a few loots. But, unexpectedly, the ground shook, killing all the monsters around them in an instant.

Then suddenly the whole guild turned dark, scaring them both half to death.

“Yeah! I am seeing this little brother. This is like watching a movie…no it's even better than a movie…” the other man muttered as they both watched with wide eyes, not willing to lose even a second of this epic battle.

“If only we could bring a camera to a dungeon…sigh!”
