Kenshin inspected the group of three and found the lagging one held a big box that could fit two children easily. It's purely black with white markings all over it. Without even use of the system, he could guess that that box was an item of unique quality. For the sake of confirmation though he scanned it.

It was his first time seeing such a precious item. Moreover, it’s a ranked item. But his excitement died instantly when he realized that Ellie and Axel were probably sealed inside that box. Then he scanned the three people standing in front.

The first one was the werewolf looking thing…Kenshin was sure it's not a monster. Because he had encountered monsters enough to realize one with just a glance. This person might be the same species as Axel, who possess animal ears at the top of his head.

The second was the woman who looked like a vampire with fangs jutting out of her top lips. She was wearing a black gothic outfit with a black and red cape tied around her neck. Below her extremely small gothic skirt, she was wearing blue booty shorts. Her hair was short and white, with few black streaks running here and there. Coupled with her knee-length boots, she looked like an enchantress.

He finally scanned the last person who was holding the huge black box. But unfortunately, his system failed to scan him at all. It’s the same situation as a few others who possess a special item that could hide their power from prying eyes.

What made Kenshin really puzzle was that why? Why do these people possess such special items? Is there a skill or an Item that could read through an opponent’s strength in such detail like his system? Kenshin decided to ask this to Yuki when he meets her next time.

“Joy, you take care of that man with the box. Ellie and Axel are most probably within that box.” Kenshin pointed at the man with the box as he fixed his eyes at the two conflicting pairs. These two, not only their genders were opposite, even their species, their power, and even their combat style were opposite to each other. One was a close combat fighter while other was a long distance magic user. But the thing that surprised him most was the presence of titles.

‘They obviously didn’t have a system…how can they possess a title? Moreover, I can't see the specific details about the title.’ Kenshin horizons broadened once again. It's not that he didn’t suspect them possessing a system or something similar, but he soon abandoned that idea when he saw their abyssal unbalanced stats.

Besides, if they too were system users, their skills shouldn’t be this few. Moreover, he shouldn’t even be able to see their stats as the system should oppose each other somehow. Of course, the last one was his wild guess purely. As for the last one, if his last guess was true, then his suspect was naturally towards him the most.

“Who are you?” the werewolf asked after giving off a low growl. It sounded very unpleasant and cringy to hear. The vampire girl had chosen to remain silent, but both Kenshin and Joy could see her bloodthirsty and brutal will from her eyes.

“Kidnapping children in broad daylight and running away like that! Do you guys think that law and order have vanished from the society?” assuming the tone of a law enforcer, Kenshin accused the three people. He didn’t give away his identity as the children’s guardian, that would lead to some unsalvagable situation if they use them against him. He had already discussed this with Joy when they were ambushing them here.

No matter what, they weren't to reveal their identity until they secure the two kids.

“That’s right. It was thanks to those brats’ good luck that we are around, or who knows what atrocity you guys would have done with them.” Joy also added a quip.

“Hmph! Busybodies. This is none of your business. Leave us to our devices, and you guys will be spared from humiliating death. You guys don’t know who we are!” the wolfman gave out a guttural growl as he snarled out a response.

But Kenshin and Joy didn’t care about that. They silently split their roles. Kenshin would be fighting the two conflicting pairs while Joy would take charge of retrieving the box from the man. Nodding to each other, Joy’s body gave out a few yellow sparks as he vanished into thin air. At the same time, Kenshin condensed a long sword out of his [Destructive Energy Manipulation] and morphed his body using his [Shapeshifting] ability to mimic that of a powerful monster’s texture he had ever seen.

Under the [Shapeshifting] his body buffed up a little as it turned pitch black with white lines that looked like water waves running through them. Except for his face and palms, he transformed all the other part of his body. This was actually the copy of Dilong’s real body that no one except him had seen. Before he killed him, Kenshin had seen how Dilong had shrunk itself and hardened all the muscles and scales in its body. If it was not for boosted u power, no matter how strong Kenshin’s attacks were, he could never have one-shot it as easily as he did.

Joy was busy with the box holding man so he didn’t see Kenshin’s transformation or he might have made some conclusions. Kenshin didn’t wish to play with these guys. From the beginning, he was planning to use his full power and all his skills except [Starfall Dominion] to deal with them.

Using his high amount of agility, Kenshin vanished into thin air. Even before he reappeared, a thin transparent bubble appeared around both werewolf and vampire. The furs on wolf’s body as well as the frills of Vampire’s gothic skirt suddenly started to shine brightly as they gave out brilliant splendor.

Boom!!Boom!!

With a loud boom, they exploded with the power of tiny dynamite each. Even before the smoke settled, Kenshin had already entered the region with his sword aiming at Vampire girl’s neck. He felt the girl be more troublesome with her magic skills…especially Energy Drain and blood manipulation.

But her senses were proved to be quite sharp as even before Kenshin reached him, she had already transformed into a hundred tiny bats and fled from the area. Seeing that his sneak attack failed, Kenshin tried to pull back and follow her, but he was suddenly alerted of a shadow behind him. It was the wolfman who was bleeding profusely while looking like a freshly shaven sheep. He was in an extremely sorry state as he was wounded heavily.

His eyes had already turned red from pain and anger. At this time, all he thought of was to kill this human in front of him.
