-The reason behind the wounds-
After being thrown out of the room, both Kenshin and Joy sat on the chair outside for a short while and talked about various matters concerning their lives until now. Their experiences, their fighting methods, they shared everything. Amidst this, Kenshin spilled a very interesting piece of news.
“What? No way! You were actually rescued by the great Aoi Yamazaki herself once? I can’t believe it!” Joy couldn’t believe it at first. Who was Aoi? Is she someone who would roam in such low leveled places in a remote town?
“That’s true, though. The doctor and nurse in that hospital informed me this. This matter was suppressed so that her movements wouldn’t be exposed…I guessed that’s why no one came to me to find trouble after that.” Shaking his head, Kenshin said with a wry smile.
“Eh! But what was she doing in such a low leveled dungeon?” Joy found this puzzling. Someone of Aoi’s standards shouldn’t even talk about these low leveled places, how come she was inside one?
“Hey! I don’t know. I wouldn’t even know I was rescued by her if the doctors wouldn’t have told me that day.” Kenshin raised his arms in surrender.
“That’s true. How could we know what those big wigs think? we are just too different from each other, our worlds, they are too different.” Nodding his head, both then stopped talking about this matter. Talking and comparing the status of others with themselves was no better than mocking themselves. No matter how much people preach, there would never be true equality among people, deferences would always remain.
“Hey, let’s go to the cafeteria. I am hungry, I want to eat something. I haven’t eaten for quite a while you know?” Kenshin stood up as he beckoned Joy to follow. Thankfully the hospital dress Kenshin wearing wasn’t a back opened one, or else, he would have really too embarrassed to even get out the room.

An hour later, both returned to find another person was sitting on Kenshin’s bed. This person was none other than lady Sachiko, who was talking with Yuki. The moment they entered the hearing zone, Lady Sachiko stopped talking. Hunters have a really too powerful sense, even him she whispered to her ears, Kenshin and Joy could still hear them from far. That’s why she stopped talking the moment she sensed Kenshin and him.
“Hey!” Seeing Kenshin return, Yuki smiled and signaled at Sachiko with her eyes. nodding at her discreetly, Kenshin went forward and gave a polite bow to her as he spoke: “Thank you for saving me back then.”
“Don’t! if anything, it should be me who apologize for endangering your life.” Sachiko shook her head and replied.
“That is not your fault,” Kenshin said with a smile.
“You guys talk, I will get to the cafeteria and have something to eat. Joy, can you please lead the way?” Yuki immediately excused herself, pulling Joy along. She felt that what these two going to talk about wouldn’t something other should be aware of as it’s a private matter related to the strength of a hunter.
After Yuki left, Kenshin turned around and walked near his bed and sat on the chair adjacent to it. Sitting down, he stared at the lady and started, “Joy told me that you know the reason why I was wounded so seriously! Is that true?”
“I don’t know if what I think is really the reason behind, but I have a haunch.” Sachiko nodded her head and gave not a very clear answer. Looking at her puzzlingly, Kenshin further asked, “What do you mean you have a haunch!? Didn’t you said that you know the reason?”
“I know the reason…but it might not be the case for you.”
“Then can you please enlighten me?” Kenshin bowed a little as he asked earnestly. Currently, instead of moving in dark, he should at least get himself a clue. Even if it's not the true cause, it was still better than not knowing at all.

“let me ask you; before you getting wounded, did you hear a loud booming noise? Like a huge metal object scratching along the concrete road…that kind of noise?”
“Yes! Exactly! Every time I moved, I heard that noise, and then suddenly I would feel like someone had slugged me with a Warhammer. It’s very painful. All total, I only moved 5 steps, and it landed me in hospital for 3 days…what exactly is that booming noise?” frustratingly Kenshin asked. There was such a nice chance of using huge stats and one-shot his enemy, but unexpectedly he also got wounded himself. If it goes like this, he would rather not use that combination ever again.
But Kenshin felt not using all those skills to boost his power was a waste. He was in a dilemma of what he should be doing. Should he use it as a last resort and then come to the hospital after every usage? Or just ignore it altogether! Before he thought of this problem more, Sachiko started:
“Say, If you run at your fastest speed and crash into a steep wall, what would happen?”
“Well…I will break,” Kenshin answered honestly. Even though his strength and DEF had increased, they were talking about concentrated steel wall here.
“Exactly…and that’s what happened to you. I think after I boosted you up, and when you used a skill to move faster, you unconsciously approached the ‘Sound Barrier’ and without proper preparation, when you broke through it…well the opposite force wounded you heavily.”
“Sound barrier? What’s that?” Kenshin, who had never completed his high school degree, felt like hearing a new word. Sound Barrier, to him, it sounded like some cool stuff, so he asked eagerly.
“Search it up on the internet. I can’t explain it to you now. But I would say before you are ready and undergo your first awakening, you should stop using that skill when someone boosts you up. Your body is clearly not strong enough to handle the recoil. This time you only took five steps, so nothing worse happened to you. Any more and your body would have been shredded by the recoil force. Be careful in the future.” With that said, she excused herself, saying that she had many works to do.
Kenshin also didn’t stop her. He knew this lady had waited for him to wake up for the last 3 days. She was a highly respected hunter and have many other things to handle. She shouldn’t stay here anymore.
After her departure, Kenshin started to think deeply about this matter. The lady’s words really showed him a clue. If his wounds were really because of a recoiling force, there might be a way around that with the help of his [Opposites], but the prerequisite of Opposites was to first know what he was dealing with. Before using this skill, he must have a clear picture of what he wanted to achieve.
It was the same as when he was flying. He already had a superficial knowledge of gravity. When he used it to oppose gravity, he floated in the air. Later, he also understood the properties of air and solid, so he opposed it made the air solid for him. That’s why he was able to walk on sky…it’s the reason why what he achieved wasn’t a perfect flight but sky walking.
Similarly, he wanted to oppose the forces when traveling at that much speed, he first must know about the opposing forces.
“The lady said that I should search it on internet…did Yuki or Joy brought their phone?”
