-Vol 5: A New Life-
-Heavily wounded!-
The buffs provided by Lady Sachiko doubled nearly all his stats. Not only that, obscure stats like pain tolerance, recovery ability, defensive ability, everything increased two times.
“This is your ability?” he looked at the smiling Lady and asked. From all the skills he had copied or seen in the system store, there was not a single skill of this category. Although there were skills that could increase his stats, none of them could help him improve other’s stats.
“Haha! This is an ordinary skill every Light Magic skill user have. You don’t think us light magic skill user are famous only because we represent positivity and light, do you?” the lady smiled again and pointed her hands below “We will talk later. Let’s finish that snake hiding there first.”
After she finished saying, 10 huge pillars of light having a thickness of about 30 centimeters manifested behind her. The posts hovered behind her, like a loyal follower awaiting it's master’s order. Lady Sachiko looked ta Kenshin and asked: “Are you prepared?”
“Yes! I am ready since the beginning.” Saying so, Kenshin used his sword’s both defensive and offensive trait at the same time. At the same time, he used every available skill that could help him with the current situation.
Title Surpasser had already doubled his stats. Now with the bonus form the lady, his strength increased once again. His ATK now surpassed 5K, excluding it all the other stats had reached 4K. INT had already reached 8K. With the doubling of PHY, his max HP also increased. His already cockroach-like vitality transformed into a super cockroach vitality. Now, even if the snake was on its peak, it couldn’t kill Kenshin before he runs away safely.
Suddenly thinking of something, he stealthily used his skill [Create Dunegion].
[Ding* you have used skill Create Dungeion]
[Please mention the dimensions of space you want to create the dungeon.]
Entering the dimension, Kenshin created a palm-sized stone pathway. This skill, although it could create a dungeon anywhere, it would still be an extension of Ekla’s Garden. To defeat an enemy, it wouldn’t be of any use. But there was one thing handy about this skill aside from creating a footing for him in emergency situations. As the guardian of Ekla’s Garden, his stats would boost up to 500% as long as he enters the dungeon.

The dungeon he creates with this skill would be an extension of Ekla’s garden. As such, by using this skill, he would be qualified to receive the 500% upgrade benefit. It would be his second time using this skill, as there was no enemy in the past that forced him to use this skill.
The tiny palm-shaped rock created just below the sole of his foot, below the boat. Unfortunately, once created this dungeon couldn’t be moved, or else he would have kept that piece of created a small pathway inside his pocket all the time.
[You have entered Ekla’s Graden]
[All stats +500%]
With this final increase, his current stat became like this:
[ATK: 53,928(+810); DEF: 38,520(+10)(+400)(+700); AGI: 36,772; PHY: 38,556(+410); INT: 72,468; WIS: 32,040; WIL: 26,280; LUK: 3294]
“Gulp!” Kenshin swallowed a mouthful of saliva as he saw the enormous stats in front of him. By now, even if he didn’t use any skill, he might physically kill that snake pretending to be a dragon with just a single. Aside from the excitement from the increased stats, he also felt a sense of unstableness inside his body. Its as if something in his body was trying to come out but was being forcibly suppressed by something else.
Without even trying to think, he already understood what it was. It’s the strength of his increased stats, the full potential of this stats was trying to come out, but his body couldn't handle it currently as such, it was being suppressed by the limits of his body. Kenshin could only smile bitterly. He couldn’t do anything about this, unless he levels up and goes through awakenings, he could do nothing and only see more than half of his total power being hidden and unused.
“Okay, Kenshin make your preparations!” Lady Sachiko didn’t know about Kenshin’s dilemma. She manipulated those ten pillars to struck inside the calm water below them. One by one, the golden posts entered water forcibly in an orderly manner, forming a circular design. The moment all the pillars entered the water body, a yellow light flashed as the water the middle of the pillar miraculously vanished, opening a pathway for him.

As the water in the middle evaporated, Kenshin could see the sea bed and badly mangled sea life below. In there lay the Dilong, coiling around itself while its head was hidden beneath its coiled body. It had already suffered at the hands of Kenshin. The moment it saw Kenshin approaching, it had already hidden away its head.
“Remember, only 5 seconds. I couldn’t hold any more than that. If you couldn’t return by, then, the water pressure would ground you to paste.” With one final warning, Lady Sachiko beckoned Kenshin to go inside.
“I know. It will before 5 seconds mark. Don’t worry.” Narrowing his eyes, Kenshin pushed forward at the dragon coiling below the waterbed.
Boom!!
54K ATK, which is equivalent to the same number of strength, pushing his 37K AGI, in a moment, Kenshin broke the sound barrier and appeared beside the dragon in a flash. He hadn’t anticipated this as such he couldn’t balance his speed and instead impaled himself inside the hard rocks beside dragon.
BOOM!!
“Cough!!” Kenshin coughed mouthful blood as he pulled himself out of the crater. All his internal organs were injured. Using the sword as a walking stick, he stood up unsteadily. At the same time, for being standing below a 200 meters wide whirlpool, the pressure and force were immeasurable. He felt like his body was being pressed down at the same time being stretched by unseen hands.
[3 seconds]
Gritting his teeth, Kenshin jumped at Dilong. He had already abandoned using his sword. The pressure was very high in there, besides his muscles were all injured. He couldn’t swing that sword without further hurting himself. He threw it to his inventory.
Boom!
His body broke the sound barrier again, as he nearly crashed into the body of the dragon. But that’s good too in this do or die situation. Kenshin coughed another mouthful of blood.
‘Dammit! What’s happening? What is this booming noise every time I try to move? Why am I getting injured? What’s happening here?’ though he had too many questions regarding this occurrence, he didn’t have anyone to answer right now, clenching his fist, he pulled back and with all his power threw a punch at the coiling dilong whose HP was already down to 99% of its initial.
Boom!!
Another similar booming noise was heard. Kenshin felt invisible blades cutting and tearing his right hand. Gritting his teeth, he persisted and stuck the punch to the creature.
“Die!!” shouting at the top of his lungs, Kenshin struck the snake with his bare fist. 57K ATK, with the momentum created from 37K AGI, the accompanying wind pressure; as all this pressure struck the dragon, it instantly turned into a vapor of flesh and blood, spraying it all over Kenshin’s body and wounds.
[0.23 secs]
“Brat! Comeback. Time’s over!! Hurry up!!” hearing Lady Sachiko’s shout, Kenshin came to his senses and tried to jump up, but suddenly he felt like his legs didn’t have enough strength to push his body upwards.
Gritting his teeth, used every available power in his body, and tried to jump up. “Yahhh!!” giving out a mighty cry, he pushed himself up. His thighs ripped up as blood spurted up from them. At the same time, cracking noise came from many parts of his body. He felt a metallic taste at the back of his throat, which he suppressed forcefully. But still, a thin trail of blood escaped from the corner of his mouth.
Boom!!
Another booming noise was heard. Kenshin felt like he was slammed to a tough metallic door again. Then his head started to feel light, and his eyes lids started to turn heavy. He knew he was gradually losing consciousness, but he could do nothing about it. Everything’s beyond his control at this time.
As his vision gradually turned dark, Kenshin could only mutter a weak ‘Shit!’ before completely losing consciousness.

Mage Among Superheroes
Turlough is a mage. He also happens to be an orc, generally lauded as being less intelligent than humans. He was unfortunately born with the Curse of the Barbarian, meaning that he can’t level up except through combat- which greatly hinders his ability to show he can be a proper mage. In a world with necromancers, dragons, invading armies, and all sorts of other monsters he would still be able to advance quickly, but unfortuantely… that world is not his world. An unprecedented peace reigns across the land, and in the last several decades there’s been little use for people capable of fighting- and thus little reason for people to fight him. So when he sees a portal in his master’s study he takes it, hoping to find a horde of demons or something equally foolish to combat at low level. But instead he ends up in a strange city full of skyscrapers and people running around in colorful outfits. Superheroes- and of course supervillains as well. What dangers and opportunities could await him in such a strange and unfamiliar world? Only time will tell. Inspired by many things in the superhero genre, and Super Minion specifically- though while the setting will share some standard elements, it is an original setting that will hopefully be as engaging as many of the other universes. Schedule: One chapter each Monday/Thursday, approx. 2000 words.
