“I expected as much!” Reymond sighed. After dealing with these mobs, he had already guessed the strength level of true elites. The saying that three hunters would require to kill a sea monster of the same level was indeed true. These mobs were already this strong, one could only wonder how strong a true elite would be.

“You don’t have to worry that much. The true elites won't come here. They are elites for a reason. They would only roam on the deepest part of the ocean.” Kenshin concealed the man with a smile. Raymond sighed once again, he could tell Kenshin was trying to cheer him up and restore his confidence, that why he was very grateful. He decided to change the subject.

“By the way from Hitachinaka, what about you?” Reymond asked.

“I am from Mito,” Kenshin replied.

“Mito! Did you took part in Dungeon Break incident?” Raymond excitedly asked. He was also there during dungeon break case. Due to him slaying many monsters and a high leveled skeleton, he would always brag about it.

“I…yeah I did. What of it?” Kenshin asked weirdly. He wondered why he would ask such a question even after so many days passed to that incident? How would he know that those hunters who had participated and made a huge contribution were still bragging about it? This Raymond was one of those braggarts.

“Sigh! Man, I was also there that day. So many monsters poured out like a broken dam…I was so surprised and afraid. But thankfully I overcame my fear and did I must do…” and after that, he continued to brag how he valiantly slew thousands of monsters and even killed a very strong skeleton. According to him, the skeleton was so strong that it could have killed a level 100 hunter with just a swing of its sword. Using his smarts and power, this man achieved victory over such an impossible opponent.

Throughout the whole story, Kenshin remained silent and heard the man brag about his achievements. Since he had nothing to do, he decided to hear him out. But he later discovered that this man was excellent in bragging. Even while fighting in the frontlines, Kenshin couldn’t help but wonder if these things really happened after the monsters passed through his blockade or actually this strong monsters really spawned from that dungeon? Since it passed his time, Kenshin didn’t complain about it.

When Raymond was at his peak of storytelling and was about to tell how epically he killed that skeleton, suddenly Kenshin raised his right hand to stop him. Putting a finger on his lips, he signaled him to be silent before pointing his fingers towards the silent ocean behind them.

Following his line of pointing, Raymond saw a girl, fully submerged into the water with only her eyes and green hairs visible. Her emerald eyes were very innocent as she stared at Kenshin and the man in wonder as if seeing them for the first time.

“Lessy?” Reymond instantly recognized her with a look of surprise on his face. Just as he was about to jump into the water, Kenshin’s hands stopped him. Looking at him in narrowed eyes Reymond said “What are you doing? She is Lessy, let me save her.” towards the end a mad glint appeared on his eyes as if he had lost his sanity.

Seeing this Kenshin frowned and gave him a dose of [King’s Presence] to make him clearheaded again. Reymond abruptly woke up from his trance, staring at Kenshin with a look of fear and anxiety. Taking a deep breath to calm himself down, he asked: “What happened? Just now I think I saw Lessy and lost control over my body!”

Smiling lightly Kenshin said: “That’s a mermaid. They tend to take the form of the woman towards whom you have a huge amount of lust. By the way who is this Lessy?” Kenshin was also curious about this Lessy towards whom this man held a huge amount of lust.

“Cough! Lessy…is a porn actress of USA. Forget about her, is it really the legendary mermaid? Did I just about to throw my life away to such a disgusting creature?” Reymond asked fretfully. He still had that lingering fear of losing control over his body. If it weren’t for Kenshin, he would have been already eaten by that monster.

“Yep…that’s the one. But you…really? A porn actress? Man…you are really great.” Kenshin became speechless at this man. Who didn’t see porn, even he does it every now and then but to harbor such great lust towards an actress to the point of losing life…this Raymond was a legend alright.

“Cough! I am sorry. Please don’t look at me like you are looking at a lower intelligence level creature.” Raymond pleaded after seeing Kenshin’s disgusted look.

“It's not that I want to look at you, but for you to be seduced to death by a porn actress…I couldn’t look at you like that. Anyway, be careful. These mermaids take the form of your deepest lust and using that lust they can control you to become their food. Be careful from here on, and also go back and warn everyone.” Kenshin sent him away with a mission as he looked at the figure of another woman further away from ‘Lessy.’

“But it looks like I am no better either…” Kenshin muttered as he looked at that woman. Although she was half submerged, it still resembled the face of a certain mother in his heart. Mrs. Yui…that’s the face that mermaid held while it stared at Kenshin with that kind look of Mrs. Yui.

Releasing another sigh, he raised his index finger as a small star condensed into shape. This star was extremely small, half the size of the tip of his index finger. With a gentle silver glow, it just remained there, waiting for Kenshin’s approval before flying towards its target and decimating it.

Releasing another sigh, he let loose the star towards the head of the monster. The star made an arc across the sky as it traveled at breakneck speed. Before the mermaid could understand what happened, the star passed through its brain, creating a hole on it. The mermaid died before it could shout out painfully. He did the same towards ‘Lessy,’ killing it with his condensed star.

“Ho! Two equipment? Nice.” Kenshin smiled before looking back at people approaching the sides of the boat one by one. Every now and then someone would shout loudly pointing towards a direction. Suddenly another commotion raised as someone jumped into the water.

“Shit! Someone jumped into the water.” A man shouted while pointing at a young man jumping into the water. Immediately two other hunters jumped into the water to rescue him but were immediately tranced joined the young man to swim towards the mermaids.

“Long-range hunters, quickly aim at the mermaids. Kill them before these people can reach them. We just have to break the mind control.” It was Raymond. Having already experienced the mind control, he already found a way to counter it.

Heeding his call, five people holding bows and crossbows came running and rained arrows at the heads of the mermaids. The arrows lodged themselves into their heads, but except for letting out a bone-chilling shout, that didn’t die. These mermaids were level 47, they wouldn't die that easily. But it did have the desired result. The three men were broke from their control.

“You three quickly come back,” Reymond shouted at them. The three who were still a little confused due to getting out of mind control hurried for the boat. At that time, a powerful hunter threw ropes down for them to catch on. With the help of another few hunters, the three of them were rescued immediately.

The appearance of these mermaids made all the gathered hunters’ face turn ugly as another battle was on the verge of beginning. This time they had to fight their lust.
