-A Surprise-
When Kenshin was just a few hundred meters from his room, he noticed three dots on where his house should be. These dots had the mark of an ally, so he wasn’t afraid, but he did wonder who would come this late to his home. Taking steady steps, he opened the door and found three hooded figure sitting on his sofa while playing a card game.
“Haha! I win this round too!” one of the hooded figures said while placing a few cards on the table.
“dammit! How can it be? You are definitely cheating!” another hooded figure shouted in rage while bringing his fist to the table to break it. Suddenly the third figure who had yet to move flashed his hands and grabbed the incoming punch before it could land on the table.
“Be careful! We don’t wanna break our master’s stuff.”
“No 3, who are you lecturing? Isn't it's you who broke that chair in the corner?” the one who was scolded just now said in anger while pointing at a broken piece of the chair in the corner.
“That’s just a mistake…what you are doing is deliberate. How can they both be the same?” the one named no 1 calmly said while arranging the cards on the table for another game.
“What? What kind of logic is this? No 1 say something!”
“Ah! Huh!? What are you talking about?” the hooded figure named No 1 was puzzled as he was a little distracted just now.
Just before the hooded figure who was shouting earlier could say something, their attention shifted towards Kenshin who was standing near the door with his mouth hung open and eyes widened to the point that they would fall off. Of course, he recognized these three hooded figures who were calling themselves with numbers, after all, he was the one who made them in the first place.
These three are the three zombies he made when he raided the school a few hours ago. But, how can they talk and behave like a human? Weren't they supposed to be just mindless puppets? Kenshin racked his brain for an answer. Suddenly as if he realized something, he pulled his status screen and observed his attributes. Not a single one of them was below 200. The skill [Summon Minion] would summon a minion with half of his total stats, with his stats like that, it was no wonder these guys had so much intelligence. Their INT and WIS were above 100 after all.

Generally, after a monster gains 60 points of stats in INT and WIS, they could already understand basic human language and think like a human, to even forming complex strategies. Monsters who have above 100 WIS and INT, could already talk like humans and behave like them. If they can achieve humanoid form, they could even blend with humans. Of course, their intelligence would be like that of a human child’s.
These three were no different. But since Kenshin’s INT and WIS were very high, these three had higher intelligence than a human child’s. This was really a nice surprise for Kenshin. This gave another edge in battles for him. With intelligent subordinates, his chances to take on opponents stronger than him increased even further.
“Master! You have returned!” the one named No 3 came running at him at full speeds. When Kenshin saw his behavior and then looked at his face, he couldn’t help but take a step back unconsciously. With the face of a middle-aged man and the behavior of a child, it was very disgusting and cringing to look at. When Kenshin made them, he didn’t take appearance into account. He even didn’t know what he imaged when he created them in the heat of the moment.
A great surprise indeed! Same could be said for the other two zombies. They even all had the same face with just a minor difference. Kenshin really felt disgusted at this and hurriedly canceled the skill, making the three zombies running at him vanish in a plume of smoke.
Kenshin took a breath of relief. “Shit! That scared the shit out of me. Next time I must be careful when summoning them. In any case, middle-aged men are a no go…” shaking his head to get rid of those disturbing thoughts, Kenshin prepared to hit the bed. The earlier events with Lily left him with no appetite.

The next morning Kenshin woke up to a piece of interesting news. After much waiting for his car would finally be delivered to his doorstep by evening. Unfortunately, he wouldn’t be there to receive it. Hence he decided to let Mrs. Yui do the receiving. He was a little excited too for the car, it was his first time buying with his own money, it held a special meaning for him in his heart. He even planned to bring the car to his sister’s dormitory and show off to her before revealing his wealth slowly. God knows the little girl had been suppressed for far too long, its time for her to soar into skies like others of her age.

Kenshin even planned to buy her and her roommates, a few equipments and some other supportive materials. His sister was a magic skill user of wind attribute, so he had a few things planned for her. He had his system store, so he was planning to buy it from there. Although he couldn’t hand out other things, equipments were not a problem. Unfortunately, he couldn’t give her skills, or else it would have been better with a few life-saving skills at her disposal. He was also intended to buy some potions from the market before going. He can buy them from the store for himself and give someone when he was present in the vicinity, or else they would simply disappear into particles when he was a certain distance away from it.
Then he remembered the yesterday night’s events and couldn't help but sigh bitterly. It seems he was going to lose another potential friend and might even make an enemy out of her. If she were a magnanimous person, then she wouldn’t hold the matter of yesterday night at heart, but if not, his life wouldn’t be as smooth as before. Kenshin really hoped that she was the former, or given her current status and hidden status, she could easily make him miserable. But Kenshin wasn’t too worried about that, as long as she didn’t target his family then everything was good. If push comes to shove, he could just resign and be a free hunter like before.
“No use thinking about that!” Kenshin sighed and finished his morning exercise before having a light breakfast. Then wearing a short pant and red T-shirt he went towards Mrs. Yui’s home. When he neared her backdoor, he could hear a loud noise coming from the TV, the news must be about yesterday’s matters. Kenshin sighed, he pitied all those parents whose children were a student of that school. It was a calamity for them.
When Kenshin opened the front door and was about to enter, he saw Ellie running towards him with a happy smile. Frowning Kenshin looked at the clock opposite to him and found its already 10 AM, this little devil should be preparing for school right now!
“Don’t you have school today? Are you playing truant?” Kenshin accused the grinning girl while glaring at her playfully.
“I am not!! My teacher called mom today and said that my school will be closed for a few days…yay!!” towards the end Ellie became too excited and started jumping around. Which child won’t want to stay home and not go to school?
“What? Really! Good for you then!” Kenshin smiled and rubbed his palm on her head before playfully pushing her out of the way and going inside the house. Ellie pouted and fixed her hair before jumping into Kenshin shoulder and hung like a Koala.

Lone: The Wanderer [Rewrite]
Nine-to-five. The daily grind. Life. Painful years of school. Working as a slave for some undeserving corporate big-wig. The monotonous life of unemployment. We all experience this in one way or another, and we can all conclude one thing: it's dull. Such a fact rings true even for the fabled Lone Immortus, a powerful nine-tailed Golden Foxkin. However, what would you do if your monotony was suddenly ground to a halt and you were thrown out of your comfort zone along with a young girl forgotten by time? Perhaps you might have done things differently, been more organised, immediately died, gained control of the world in a matter of days, but this is Lone's tale, not yours. Watching two insecure people struggle to survive and find their place in an unfamiliar land just might be enjoyable to witness. Who knows? One thing's for certain: it won't be an easy path for them to tread, and what could possibly be more entertaining than watching people endure hardships and grow? I know of at least eight gods that would answer with, 'Absolutely nothing.' I wonder, after seeing this journey from start to finish, how would you answer?
