-Vol 5: A New Life-
-Kidnapper Kenshin-
Kenshin forcefully suppressed his excitement after half an hour as he had an important job to do. With his target on sight, he started to follow the man that had escaped from his hand. It took him less than ten minutes to reach where the marker he left was indicating. And Kenshin was a little startled to find it was a huge mansion which was a few kilometers away from the town of Mito. Since he came from the sky directly, he had not seen the nameplate hung on the gate. His target was clearly here and in a secluded corner of the building too, from his map he could see the target was currently standing near a neutral point in the map. Kenshin immediately marked it as a hostile target.
Meanwhile,
“No 5! What the hell happened? You look like shit!” the speaker of it was a middle-aged man. His name was No 3, he also came with him. Currently, in the building, he was lazing on the sofa and browsing the TV.
“No 3, we are in huge problem. DCB sent a powerful hunter to crack down the base. I have killed all the witness in the room, but there are still many scattered around the school. I guess this base is compromised. Where is captain? I must inform this to him.” No 5’s tone was laced with both fear and anxiety. Fear for barely coming out of that hunter’s firing range and anxiety about what was about to happen.
“What! are you sure? Fuck! Wait, I will call captain immediately.” No 3 got up from the sofa and prepared to call the captain.
“That won't be necessary.” A voice came from everywhere, before the roof of the building broken into peace, scattering dust and debris everywhere.
“Shit! Who is there?” No 3 shouted, looking alerted at everywhere. The dust from the broken ceiling completely masked his vision. Even as a hunter with superior physical abilities, he couldn’t see anything.
“No 3 careful. It’s the same hunter I was telling you about. Shit! He followed me all the way here!!” although No 3 didn’t recognize the intruder, No 5 did. Or more like he recognized the tone as it belonged to the hunter attacked him just before.
“Fuck! You bastard, how can you not recognize that you are being followed? All that training, are they only for show?” No 3 raged at No 5 and increased his vigilance. A hunter who could make No 5 helpless and afraid like that, there was no way he would be a run of the mill hunter. He had to trade this carefully.

Igniting his right hand in a purple flame, he punched at the empty space in front of him.
“Purple Halloween!!” instantly a ring of purple color formed in front of him before a huge pillar of purple flame fired from the middle of the ring towards the empty space. The whole house suddenly exploded as the purple flame instantly spread everywhere, burning the whole house, together with everything else around.
“Haha! You…you named your attacks? What are you, a kid?” the same voice came again mocking No 3. A vein popped on No 3’s head when he heard the mock, he knew him naming the technique was quite childish but to be told to face, it was embarrassing. Hunters never reveal the name of their skills for obvious reasons, as for naming their attacks, in the heat of battle, who would bother calling out their names? It was his first time seeing someone naming their attacks, even when he created that skill with a sword, he didn’t dare to give it such cool sounding name.
Althgouh No 3’s calling out the name was embarrassing, his skill’s power was real. Those purple flames, they even burnt down the dust particles in the air, clearing the room’s vision. If Kenshin hadn’t used his shield in time, he would have suffered some superficial damage.
No 3 watched in rapt attention at the intruder. The man was dressed head to toe in soldier grab, in his left hand he was holding a bright purple shield of whose, half was missing. Even a shield that had 800 DEF couldn’t block the ray of that man’s attack. But Kenshin’s wasn’t scared at the slightest, its only a shield made out of pure skill, he was confident in beating these two even if they ganged up on him.
Opening his system, he scanned the man named No 3.
[No 3][Human]
[Level 87]
[HP:500][MP:500(+124 equip boost)]
[ATK: 144][DEF: 100][PHY: 50][AGI: 50][INT: 188][WIS: 155]
[Skillls]
Purple Holocaust Lv 24(fire created from extreme radiation with the ability to burn everything. Deals 200 instant damage and 20 damage/sec for 20 seconds. MP: 15/use)
Kenshin sighed looking at the stat. So many points were wasted on useless things. This man was a level 87 hunter, meaning 496 stat points. Since he was a flame magic user, except for agility PHY and INT/WIS he really didn’t need to invest his points in anything else. But unfortunately, they didn’t have a convenient system like him, making them do everything on their own. Mistakes like this were expected.
But what impressed Kenshin was his skill, if he had to say anything, he would say it was a damn strong skill and with impressive ability to boot. But, he already had a skill of that category, so he didn’t need it at all. Shaking his head, he once again checked the map. That No. 5 vanished somewhere, probably to call for their captain. Finding this out, Kenshin hesitated a little. If only a mere subordinate were this strong, then how much stronger their captain would be? If they all gang up on him, he would surely suffer a bitter loss, his life may also be forfeited if he didn’t choose to use all his skills, especially his divine skill.

He was in a dilemma, whether to just grab one and leave or wait for’em all and then fight with his life online. The answer was obvious though, there was no need for him to sacrifice his life. One would do. The rest, let Yuki handle them. She had way too much power to spare so she would do a better job at it.
“Hmm! This is going to be dangerous, okay you No 3, you are coming with me.” Kenshin decided on the spot and leaped at the man who had a purple colored fire floating above his palm and looking at Kenshin wearily. Using all the agility available to him as well as [Highspeed Movements] he leaped like a tiger and vanished from the spot like a ghost. The floor below his feet cracked from the force of his push before caving in and forming a 1-meter deep hole.
Before the man could even realize what happened, Kenshin’s palm arrived on his face covering it perfectly. Grabbing his whole face with his palm, he pushed him and smacked him down on the ground.
*Boom!!
A loud noise was heard as the man pushed into the ground, forming a trench of 5 meters around him. Lifting his hand again, Kenshin coated it with Vibrating magic and punched on his face again. This time, with the force of 500+ strength, the ground caved in even more than before. But that wasn’t the end, Kenshin continued to rain punches after punches, making sure to not kill the man. Even with added DEF and his HP, three punches would be enough to kill No.3, but Kenshin wanted to him alive, at the same time he wanted to beat the shit out of him a little.
After five punches, the man’s face was no longer what it was before. Even he won't recognize it if he sees on the mirror. He had long since lost consciousness, so hauling him on his shoulder, he used [Burrow] as there was no one around and vanished from the spot.
A few seconds later, the space around where he just stood distorted, revealing a curvy body. It was none other Mrs. Kawakuchi or Iris as what the man called her. She calmly looked around, as if to find something, but ultimately failed to do so. The man named No 3 as well as the intruder, they both vanished.
“Damn it!” as she cursed angrily, a look of worry flashed on her eyes. After hearing the explosion, she came here as soon as possible, but despite using her strongest and fastest skill, she was still late to capture the culprit. This was in the end, her own house. If that man opened his mouth, everyone would be implicated even she and her family. Although she trusted the guild to train their members to not reveal anything under any circumstances, she was still worried. The world was vast, and there were myriad of skill users, who would say that there was none who could extract information from someone’s head?
Only a dead person could keep secrets.
BOOM! CRACK!!!
The ground suddenly trembled as if an earthquake hit it. From a distance, she could see a red glowing person was coming here with astonishing speed. It's none other than the so-called captain of the team. He looked angry and worried, this case really unexpected on his part.
“Iris! Where is he?” the man arrived near her within a fraction of minutes. His hair was floating in the air like an angry asura ready to slaughter everything. His iris was completely dark, and his pupil was red and layered lie a concentric circle.
“No 3 was captured…” Iris answered nonchalantly before sparing a glance at the man. Sighing and running a hand over her hair, she continued “You should think what to do. This was a serious case, a member of the guild was caught red-handed. If that man reveals anything, the whole guild would be implicated. I don’t care about the guild…but if my family comes into this mess, I will not spare any of you…mark my words” with that she turned around and vanished like entering into a pond. The space behind her rippled a little before returning to how it was before.

The Helena Chronicles
Espers are really no different than humans; they look like any normal human and in general behave like any normal human. However, there are a few key differences. The max life expectancy of espers ranges from forty-five to fifty. They naturally have a knack for mathematics and are extremely intelligent in general, this is because their abilities rely on the subconscious and conscious calculations. They also have a mysterious energy source they call Focus that is generated naturally by all espers. The continent of Elestveeve is populated by three major factions, each a governing force. On the west of the continent, there is the Noble Houses that subscribe to the Deity Faith. The Houses ruling with the Deity Faith as council since the religion's founding four-hundred years previous. Controlling most of the northeast is WITCH, an organization ruled by powerful espers; claiming the mysterious Genesis as their capital, they are a whispered myth among much of the continent's less technically advanced residents. In the southeast you have Tech City, a towering monolith of a capital with four sky layers and metropolis' leveled deep underground; it is a city brimming with technical advancement and cyber integration. Each faction contends with one another for their evolutionary ideology, by devout religious worship to receive miraculous gifts, unique genetic lineage to obtain ESP, and technological integration to become something more than human. Helena, a young genius and esper, awakes in a dark room with only fuzzy memories and the company of seven other children. She must determine how she got there and how to get back to where she came from. Warning: Due to time constraints, I don't have the time to keep up on my three stories; therefore, Helena will need to go in a stasis chamber until I can find more time to write between work and life. I love my first girl so much! however, it seems she is the least popular among the fans (the poor girl T_T). This world is much bigger than my other two novels and I'm not giving up on it, but simply having to put her on ice.
