-Bloody Wolves attack-
“Ready?” Cooper asked Kenshin.
“Mmm!” Kenshin nodded.
Getting the confirmation from him, Cooper did something with her computer. A huge map showed on her desktop with a red blinking dot on it. The dot was currently on the move. She waited for some five minutes then typed something on her phone. After that, she looked at Kenshin.
“Where is that person now?”
“Hmm! Approximately two hundred meters from here, he was near a coffee shop called Brine’s.” Kenshin answered instantly. When the man came inside, he had already marked him as the target. After that, he was continuously keeping an eye on the yellow dot on the map.
Leena frowned as the answer was correct. Not only that he also said the exact location and distance from here. She was also astounded because her computer was also showing the same results. She didn’t say anything and typed something on her phone again. Some twenty minutes later her phone vibrated. With a smile, she looked at Kenshin and asked where he was again.
“Five kilometres from here, to the north from where he stood last time. he was near a park right now.” Kenshin confidently answered again.
“What?” Cooper was even more surprised. Not only Kenshin knew the approximate distance from here, but he also knew the place where the person was standing on. Even with her personality, she was now forced to believe that Kenshin indeed has such ability as he claimed.
‘Do I really have to apologize to this man? I am not willing at all! Wait…range! That’s right, range! Even though he had the skill, it must have a range limit. If so, then I must check the range. I don’t believe that he didn’t have a range limit.’ Like how a drowning man could even grab a straw, she was grasping for straws to prove herself right.
Grabbing her phone, she typed something and sat silently. On the other hand, Kenshin was feeling really hungry. It's already past 8 PM. So he walked towards Yuki and sat beside her.

“Yuki, aren’t you hungry?”
“Yeah, I am. I haven’t eaten anything since morning. Let's finish everything and go for something to eat.” Yuki also agreed. Even though she was a girl who goes through diet regularly, she was feeling hungry. She hadn’t eaten anything since the morning after all. She even skipped on her lunch.
“Mrs Cooper! Aren’t you hungry?” Kenshin asked in wonder. This stubborn lady was sitting here since Yuki came and it's already one hour since then. She should have returned to home by now, it’s only because of Yuki and him that she was held up till now.
“No! And don’t find excuses to run away. I will find out your scam today.” she was extremely stubborn. But what she said was completely false. She was indeed hungry. Like Yuki, she had also skipped her lunch due to some work. She should have returned home by now and ate something, but Yuki’s matter held her up. As for his scam, she already believed in Kenshin’s words, but her pride didn’t allow her to accept it, that’s why she was trying to find a chance to prove him wrong.
As for her suspicion about Kenshin’s involvement in Yuki’s kidnapping, she no longer believed it. She was now clear that Kenshin was indeed rescuing her and hasn't had any involvement in remotely anything concerning abduction. But how could she say that face to face in front of this man?
Kenshin was unaware of her thought process, but if he knew, his face would really be a sight to see. He would also wonder out loud- what did I do wrong?
“Is that so! Okay, don’t worry. I won’t be running away. But can you finish it sooner? Yuki is hungry. I want to take her somewhere to eat.” Kenshin said and remained silent after that.
“Huh! Did you just order me something? How dare you order me?” like a cat whose tail was stepped, Leena instantly became enraged.

“Order! No, I am not doing that. I just want to take my girl…a friend here for dinner. Why can’t I go?” Kenshin was about to say girlfriend but stopped midway as their relationship was indeed not gone that far yet. In the past, he couldn’t propose her, and even now he was yet to tell her about his feelings.
Hearing Kenshin’s slip-up, Yuki couldn’t suppress the smile emerging on her face. She realized that even now Kenshin still had feelings for and from his behaviour, it didn’t look like some casual feelings. She was very delighted.
“Hmph! No, you can’t. Currently, you are under my suspicion, and it's yet to clear. So until its clear that you indeed have this skill that you claimed just now, I won't let you leave here. we are talking about the kidnapping of a senior official here.” Leena was denied instantly. Although she no longer held any suspicion towards him, she was still unwilling to admit defeat.
“Mmm! Its seems that man you sent encountered a problem. Are you sure you won't help him?” Kenshin suddenly frowned and asked the lady.
“Problem! What problem?” Leena was confused. Just as she was about to ask further, her phone vibrated. It's not a message, but a call from Tiger.
“Hello!”
[Madam, please help. A group of Bloody Wolves were found near Mt. Ojosan. The place was already barricaded, but we are yet to find a hunter. The nearest DCB’s hunters were on strike.]
“Strike! Why are they going on a strike at this time? More importantly, why are they on strike in the first place? Forget that, leaving that branch alone, where is the nearest branch to your location?”
[Madam, its still twenty kilometres away. It would be better if you send someone from there. It's the nearest from here.]
“I see what can I do. Or else I will go.”
[Okay. Madam, whatever you do, please do it quick. These Bloody Wolves were very powerful, and I don’t think the military could hold up for long.]
“Okay.” Yuki hung her phone and looked distressed. The tragedy happened just when the hunters were taking a break, it really made her angry and helpless. She was even dismayed at those bastards who suddenly went on a strike.
“Coopa, are you okay? What happened?” even though she was angry at her friend, Yuki still consider Cooper as her close friend. She couldn’t just ignore her when she looked like this, on top of it, there seemed to be something wrong with the DCB’s branch. As an affairs officer, it was her duty to manage them.
“A group of Bloody Wolves are seen near Mt. Ojosan. The nearest DCB’s hunters were on strike.”
“What? What the hell? Why are the hunters are on strike?” Even Yuki was surprised at this.
“You guys think about it later, how about thinking about all those Bloody wolves?” Kenshin relaxed on the sofa and asked the two panicking ladies. Although there were Bloody wolves wreaking havoc, it had nothing to do with him. Besides this is Iwaki, a place similar, if not bigger than Mito. It shouldn’t lack hunters. There was no need for him to stick his nose where it didn’t belong.
“You! Why are you relaxing when monsters are attacking?” Cooper asked as she fumed in anger.
“Huh! What do you mean? Why should I do then? I am currently in suspicion of a kidnapping attempt. I will relax here until my suspicion clears.”
“You…! Do you know what’s happening here? There are a group of bloody wolves were attacking a place. Many innocent lives are in danger, how can you stay here and behave like nothing happened?”
“So! What does this have to do with me?”

The Heart Grows
Dungeon games? Yeah, they're a good way to waste a few hours. The trick is to know the map and plan appropriately. Of course, it doesn't matter if you get beaten. You revise your plan for that map and do a bit better next time. Man, it'd really suck to wake up as a dungeon heart in a fantasy world you know nothing about, barely able to even work out how to control your dungeon. Lucky that wouldn't happen to anybody, huh? What with only having one chance at getting things right, you'd have to plan extra-defensive. This story should be getting chapters published weekly. I have a comfortable buffer set up and on top of the weekly writing I am committing, a commissioner has donated two monthly writing slots to ensure this remains on a weekly schedule. There will be a stat block at the beginning of every chapter bar the first, and a handy map at the end. All my works come with a CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 license. This means you are free to download, publish, and even make derivative works of my writing so long as you include this license, attribution, and don't sell the works. Keep it free!

Tim the Engineer
Summoned against his will to a world of swords and magic, an engineering student struggles to find a way home under the shadow of a world devouring threat. ***************************** Updates: 5/13/19: Revisions to several chapters for clarity, grammar, and style. 4/29/19: A short side story and artwork has been added to the blog. 4/8/19: A Side Story has been updated on my new blog (every writer is required to have one). https://talesfromliahar.wordpress.com/ ***************************** “The summoning scenarios are broken down into groups of ten.” Emi Ito stated. “Don’t, don’t you dare say another word.” Muttered Genzo Uchida. His eyes had turned bloodshot and his hands shook with rage. “The first thirty…” “Shut up!” Genzo bellowed “How dare you help these disrespectful gaijin?” Flecks of spit and madness flew from his face, his fist raised ready to strike. But Emi did not flinch, instead she was about ready to continue when Yuma Takeuchi interrupted her. “Uchida, please,” her sweet sounding words could melt ice. “I think we will have a better chance of getting home if we all work together.” When she glanced up with her sleepy looking eyes at Genzo Uchida he deflated visibly. “Were not getting home.” Uchida said coolly. “Group summoning, large, that puts us in the 60 series. No one came to greet us after five minutes of arrival. That leaves scenarios 68 and 69. In scenario 68 there is something that binds the large group together; they are all classmates or a single family. But thanks to the gaijin” he spit out the word “I think we are scenario 69 with no way home.” Ikko Inoue’s eyes went wide, while Katsukno and Hayata started muttering to themselves. Tim took on a serious look and rubbed his scruffy chin. Emi maintained her stoic expression while trying to find something to refute. McKenzie glanced at Randall and giggled. Randall took the prompting of his teammate and followed up by approaching Genzo. “Uh, so we are in a sixty-nine?” “Yes.” Replied Genzo with the seriousness of someone who’s life was about to end. McKenzie covered her mouth and snickered. “You and me, were stuck in a sixty-nine situation?” Randall pushed with a grin. “Yes, we are all stuck in a sixty-nine scenario together!” Genzo retorted in anger. McKenzie fell on her butt laughing. “What the hell is so funny?” Demanded Genzo, whose face had turned red. “It’s a problem with the automatic translation.” Retorted Tim. Randall, who seemed unable to quit started in again “So, about this sixty-ni…” Genzo interrupted Randall with a swift punch to the face. But, because of their height difference it was a bit of an uppercut that left Randall rattled. Tim and Ikko moved to step in between the two, but Genzo showed no further hostility. Instead he just stared at his clenched fist with such intensity it grabbed the attention of the room. “I unlocked a skill.” He said bluntly. ***************************** This is not a light novel, but people who like light novels should enjoy the themes of this book. ***************************** A Map of the Region

The Legend of Fanaura: Cursed
'Hey, need some help there?' An unfamiliar voice echoed through her mind, and she startled, losing her grip on the red phial. It rolled through the grass, away from her. "Oh shoot!" she yelped, and her focus diverted from her opponent for a split second, but it was enough to prove fatal. The beast took advantage of her distraction and lunged towards her. She tried to back away, but in her haste, she stumbled and fell. She looked at the beast, inches away from her, and shut her eyes in fear. She raised her arms to cover her head, even if she knew it was futile. Yet seconds passed, and no pain came. Then she heard the beast let out a pained yelp. She opened her eyes to the familiar sounds of battle before her. A tall man stood before her, locked in battle with the beast. He wielded a sword as long as his height, yet it didn't seem to hinder him in the slightest. She watched in awe as he swung the obviously heavy sword around as if it were light as a feather. His movements were swift and precise, and it didn't take long before the beast fell to the ground, motionless. “You alright there, miss?” The man sheathed his sword across his back, before turning to her. Her eyes widened when she heard his voice. It was the same voice who had that had spoken into her mind and the cause of her almost-fatal distraction. "You...!" she hissed.***She was the chosen one to end the war between the Goddesses when they were supposed to take care of the world balance. Refused to be the pawn of the Goddess she chooses to kill herself, thinking that it will end her obligation and suffering. But when she woke up in another body, she realized that she can't outrun her fate. Being reborn in the same world after the end of the Goddesses war in a pre-apocalyptic situation, she knew she needs to face her fate as the cursed heroine.
