-A Date gone wrong(2)-

After returning to her apartment, Yuki was in a very good mood. She hummed a melodious tune while going on with her eventual date preparation. Like a hummingbird she went through all her clothes in the closet, wondering on what she would wear to appeal that blockhead of a man. Yuki wasn’t like those indecisive young girls who didn’t know that they wanted, even back then she clearly knew what she wanted, and that didn’t change till now.

In her heart it was always Kenshin whom she wanted to have a relation with, that’s why she didn’t seek out any potential partners even while living among high-class society for the past three years. But this didn’t mean she wasn’t popular. Due to her beauty and talent, she was even asked out for a date by those hunters with huge backgrounds. The number of men who admire her was more than a hundred, there were even girls and women among that ever-increasing number.

But she never entertained the idea of having an affair, first it was because she was busy with her work and concentrating all her efforts into her career. Second, she was still in love with Kenshin, the young man whom she met in that small town who, despite a lot of pressures in his life, struggled to survive. At first, it was because of her admiration towards him she held some tender feelings but that transformed into love after they met and talked more often.

“Which one should I wear?” she wondered out loud. Out of all the clothes she possessed, she had already selected three top choices for tonight. There was this skin fitting blue pant with a pearl-like stone attached to it with a white T-shirt, giving her the conservative vibe. Then there was this blue dress that she wanted to wear, it’s a backless dress that would be too sexy to wear for their first ever official date. And the last one was short of a named brand along with it a dress-top. She was having a hard time choosing which one should she wear to entice that blockheaded man more.

After much contemplation she chose the blue backless dress, she wasn’t a young girl anymore. She was already at an age where feeling indecisive wouldn’t do much good. Besides she wanted to show Kenshin exactly what he was going to have in future. Looking at the dress, she couldn’t help but giggle as she imagined Kenshin’s face when he sees her with it.

After getting a bath, Kenshin wore some casual clothes and made haste to the nearest boutique shop.

“Welcome sir to our xxx-shop. How can we help you?” a store clerk came to his side and asked in a very polite tone. It was his job to greet customers who came to buy clothes, his commission was also attached to how much a person purchased under his guidance, so despite Kenshin looking like a homeless person, he still showed his pleasant attitude.

“Hmm! You can. Say, friend, I have this date today, so can you recommend a nice pair of clothes for me? cost didn’t matter, I just want to impress my date.” Kenshin was also a frank person by nature, he didn’t conceal his inability to choose a nice pair, so he immediately talked that out with the store clerk. After saying so, he fished out his diamond membership card that was given to him by the bank manager that day and handed it over to the clerk.

After seeing the card, for a second the clerk didn’t know what to say. He was already acquainted with this type of cards, but he had never seen a diamond card, at most he had seen a gold card till date. He knew the owners of this kind of cards were very rich and influential as not many people can have them, so his attitude towards Kenshin became even more respectful. With a smile on his face, he immediately guided him towards a corner.

“Okay, I understand. Please come this way.” The way he talked was even more respectful than how he speaks with his superior. Without waiting, Kenshin followed him behind and found himself inside a place filled with clothes that he knew he wouldn’t have able to afford if not for that mission’s rewards.

After leading him inside that room, the store clerk immediately showed him a variety of clothes for the occasion. These clothes were so much that he became indecisive on what should he wear…

Twenty minutes later, Kenshin finally decided on a set of clothes. Black pant, white T-shirt and a black hoodie with various steel like buttons attached to it. For shoes, he wore a pair of white sneakers that look fitting with his clothes, and to end his look, he wore a black cap. The entire set cost him 20,000$, something he wouldn’t have been able to war in the past.

Nodding to himself, he booked a taxi and hurried along the promised place. He was already ten minutes late as it is.

“That clerk’s face looked funny!” Kenshin wondered offhandedly when he left the shop. Not only was his face flushed, but he also seemed to me hyperventilating. It made him wonder if that clerk’s health was well or not! How would Kenshin know that with the amount he spent on that shop, that clerk would receive no less than 200$ as commission. That much money was enough for that person to live a few days happily.

The taxi took fifteen minutes to reach at the designated place, after paying him the money, he walked near the Office’s door and waited there. Yuki only asked him to remain in front of this office, not to go anywhere, so he could only wait for her.

1 hour later…

“These girls really do take a long time to prepare…”

2 hours later and a few cups of coffee later…

“This is getting annoying.” Screaming in frustration, he couldn’t help anymore and dialled her number. Its already 5 PM, the time was running out. He had many planned out many things for this date.

“What the?” it made him worried. What reason did she have to switch off her mobile? Suddenly a thought flashed on his head as he thought that she was perhaps taking revenge against him, but he discarded that idea immediately. Yuki wasn’t a narrow-minded person like that, if she wanted to take revenge, it would be direct, not something like this.

Getting worried, he tried to call her again and again, but the response didn’t change. No longer able to keep himself stable, he opened his map and scanner her location. Like all his allies, he had marked her with a flag. Currently, her position was showing approximately between 80~90 kilometres from where he was sitting. And that marker was moving at a very high speed.

Seeing this, Kenshin’s brows disappeared to his hairline. His computer-like brain began coming up with various theories, and he finally settled upon two outcomes. One, either she was moving because she had some urgent matter to take care of…two, an accident happened with her. If it was former then its okay, but if it's later, it's not a good thing at all.

“Fuck!!!!”
