-The Background of Kaio-

“Kenshin, you beat up that man, won't that create a problem for you? I heard he was a very influential man with the huge background!” despite Kenshin’s consoling, Mrs Yui still worried about all this. From what she read and her own life experience, rich and people in power would never tolerate such humiliation lying down. They would seek revenge no matter how long it takes, she was afraid that they would give problems knowing that Kenshin’s status was lower than them.

Although she didn’t know on what position Kenshin was in DCB, since nobody knew about him contrary to the people behind Kaio’s back, the disparity could be seen here.

Although I don’t like it, it seems I have to take that risk.” It didn’t sound like he was consoling her, it sounded more like he was taking a resolve. Inside one of those black cars, those bodyguards of Kaio looked at still unconscious Kaio with a sigh. This man was way too unreasonable with his conducts and had finally hit a wall today. He would usually target those defenceless women who didn’t have any backgrounds, forcing them to sleep with him and do many pervert things to them. Even married women and young teens weren’t spared from his greed.

Although they hated this attitude of this man, they were too weak to stop this teacher. If not for his family, he would have slaughtered by someone by now, considering the number of men he had offended. Although they were secretly happy at him getting beaten like this, what made them afraid even more was the man who beat him up. The thing was that he made him go unconscious with just a single punch.

“Rock, do you think we should inform to great master? Although he is like this, he is still a member of the Kawakuchi family. Don’t you think we should inform great master about this, its considered a humiliation to the family!” one of the black suit men asked hesitatingly. They were pondering if they should inform the master of the family or not.

“We are just small people, why think so much? Let's inform him, it's our duty.” The man called Rock said unflinchingly. What he said made sense to these small characters. After all, it was a fight between the super-powered hunters, they have no place in it.

After hearing what Rock has to say, the man who asked him first retrieved a phone and called a number saved with the name ‘Great Master’. When the phone was connected the man involuntarily shuddered. He then summoned all the courage and narrated everything happened to the one on the other side of the phone. He then remained silent and heard the person from the other side had to say, after a low yes sir, he hanged it and looked gloomily at other people sitting inside the car.

“What did the master say?” Rock anxiously asked looking very worried.

“He was very angry. He also punished us for unable to protect the honour of the family, he had our pays deducted to half for six months. he didn’t ask anything more.” Hearing it, everyone took a deep breath of relief, it's just their pays getting cut. They thought it was something serious like having to pay for blood. As long they are alive, they could earn back that money they were going to lose for the next six months.

“That young man, I pity him. He didn’t know whom he offended this time. His life, It won't be peaceful from now on.” Rock said offhandedly.

“I don’t think so!” another black suit man who was driving the car spoke. This made all the three men in it look at him in puzzlingly.

“Why do you say so?”

“That young man! Despite defeating young master in a single punch, I didn’t see a trace of arrogance or victor in his eyes. Its as if he hasn’t beaten a strong hunter, but an ant that was biting his leg. Are you getting what I am trying to say? Even when master threatened him with his family’s background, his expression still didn’t change as if he had already expected this outcome…someone like that…I don’t believe that easy to bully. Besides you, two didn’t see it, but I have seen it. That young man, he is a magic user…do you get what I am saying?” the driver spoke each word while emphasizing a few points which he found odd.

None of these retired hunters was a fool, they instantly understood what it means to be a magic user and a strong one at that. Mito didn’t have many of them as they dimes in a dozen. Even if great master’s power and status, he would still find it hard pressed to harm him if he goes legally. As for attacking him using assassin or other underhand tactics, they were sure that the young man wasn’t that weak to be killed by some measly assassins. Well unless that assassin happens to surpass level 100, but those assassins were some Great master could hire at his leisure?

They weren’t cheap after all.

“Anyway, what the point in us guessing? We have nothing to do with it…lets just deliver young master to the hospital and do our job.” The man, Rock said after another sigh.

“That’s right!”

After returning to his room, Kenshin logged on to the computer and enquired about this lunatic. Turns out he was the third generation scion of Kawakuchi family, one of the families at the helm of Ibaraki prefecture’s entirety. They are one of ten families that controls the winds and airs of Ibaraki prefecture.

Each family’s head is a gold level hunter who did many services and meritorious service for the country and was given special privileges by the government. These privileges weren’t made public and treated as a trump card by family. The average level of a member of these families was level 50. They have roots everywhere, whether its government or underworld.

It's because of these connections, they were invincible throughout Ibaraki prefecture. Even powerful hunters didn’t dare to provoke them. This point made Kenshin worry a little, the enemy was bigger than he had thought. Although it wasn’t to the point of being overwhelming, its still something he alone couldn’t cope up with for now.

In seconds, his computer brain made many calculations taking in aspects of details he just obtained. Although Kenshin had some plans, it all depends on the stand of that family. If they don’t want to blow up this matter, he would also remain silent. If they don’t, he will work accordingly.

If they really go against him, he already has a plan prepared.
