- Let’s start ‘Round 2’-

‘Isn’t it a bit too much of exaggeration!’ this was Kenshin’s first reaction after seeing his updated stats.

His level didn’t change, but aside from that everything else changed. One of the perks he gained after forming contract was a 150% of permanent increment to his all stats. This particular perk had upgraded his fundamental strength to another level entirely.

Now, his more than three stats were three digits. If he had gone through the conventional level up process, it might have taken him a year or two to reach this level. The amount of APs he gained was akin to the total value of 80 level ups.

Right now, although he was only level 16, due to his upgraded stats, his strength was similar to a level 90 or higher hunter.

Then there was a 500% increment in stats while inside this particular dungeon. It would make him a god inside this dungeon. Though application of this perk was limited, for now, it was a blessing in disguise.

But what left him stumped was the increment in luck stat, what that indicates? What are the advantages of such high LUK?

Would he get lucky and win a lottery or something!? Kenshin chuckled to his own joke.

Then came the two skills he gained. There was no definition provided by the system, so that means it expects him to find out on his own!? Kenshin decided to ask about this two skills to Core. He might know what this about.

Kenshin left that for later and went on to check out his other upgrades.

A grin formed on his face, threatening to split his face in half when he looked at his HP and MP stats.

Excluding the 500% bonus, his base HP increased from 490 to 1080 and with 500% bonus, it was at a staggering 5980. This much life force even surpassed that of a mutated cockroach he had watched in an anime back during his childhood.

But there was something that nagged in his mind. Earlier where there was a Human written beside his name had changed. Now it shows two things, one was ‘Human’ which was 83% and another was ‘???’ which was 17%

What’s that ‘???’ mentioned?

“How do you feel” Core asked, looking intently at Kenshin.

“Like a god” Kenshin’s short reply encompassed everything he felt about his current status. Then he looked towards Core, seemingly thinking of something.

“We have much to discuss after this tragedy was over,” Kenshin said.

“But of course. I must inform some important things about this contract to you. But first, let’s solve the problem at hand” Core also agreed.

With a nod, Kenshin tried to turn around to have a ‘round 2’ with Roxe. But instead of turning around, he kept rotating around himself for a few seconds. The AP upgrade was too much for him to get used to in this short time.

“Shit!” he screamed after coming to a stop. He hadn’t expected for this problem to appear at such a moment. Getting used to this huge change would take at least ten days.

“Kyahahaha…” Core started laughing loudly seeing his plight. He had expected something like this to happen. After all this contract not only benefitted him but also the one he had formed this contract with.

He didn’t know how much Kenshin had gained from it, but he was sure it was way above what he could handle on a short term.

“Core, do you have a solution for this?” Kenshin asked while looking gloomy. He was on the verge of crying. It was so embarrassing.

“Kyahaaa…! Why do you think I have a solution?” Core didn’t stop instead laughed even more loudly. Kenshin’s expression was simply too funny.

Not wanting to bother with him, Kenshin tried to control his strength but failed again and again. Simple walking step made cracks on the ground. He felt like he was a baby again and learning how to walk.

“Hahaha…” Core’s laughter didn’t seize at all. Finally, after seeing him struggle for a minute a two, he retrieved an amulet from somewhere and threw it towards Kenshin.

“Kenshin catch!”

Instinctively Kenshin caught the medallion. It was a circular bronze medallion with a pentagram drawn on it.

“This is!?”

“It’s a restrictive amulet. Just smear some blood into it. It will restrict your physical powers according to your wishes” hearing Core’s explanation, Kenshin felt relieved. He immediately pricked his finger, which for some reason took more strength than he had expected.

Suddenly the amulet glowed bloody red color, then slowly it entered his palm as if it was not solid but water. Curiously he looked on as the medallion completely entered his body via his pam. After a few seconds, a red pentagram formed on his left palm out indescribable runes.

Kenshin immediately selected 80%.

Suddenly Kenshin felt a wave of exhaustion passed through him. The God-like feeling he had earlier vanished without a trace. He just furrowed his brows but didn’t show any other reaction. He flipped his palm and there was a ‘3’ written on it between the pentagram pattern.

Then he opened his attribute panel.

All his physical stats were restrietd to 80% of its total ability. Though, it didn’t have any effect on equipment bonus. Even after applying a resterictign of 80%, his stats were still above 100.

‘It will take some time’ Kenshin thought while he tried to control his strength as much as possible. As he had guessed, it took him fifteen minutes to get used to his newly increased strength.

“Go and wreck that bastard!” Core cheered like a cheerleader.

“Yeah!!” Kenshin also played along, showing a ‘V’ sign with his fingers; he struck a fighting spirit pose. Then slowly he walked out of the cave. Each step he took was filled with confidence that was absent earlier. This time, he won’t be only in defense, he will attack too!

‘Roxe! I will really wreck you up this time’ Kenshin thought with narrowed eyes.

“Why are you walking slowly?” Core asked seeing Kenshin walking very slowly while doing weird movements.

“Shut up! It was for creating the mood!”

“Really!?”

Being caught by Core, Kenshin no longer pretended to be in a slow-motion camera. He ran out with all his might and jumped down from the cave from the edge.

Boom!!

The ground cracked and fissures formed when he landed on it. Slowly standing up from his leaning position, he glared at Roxe, who was squatting on the floor not far from him. Retrieving his scythe from inventory, he pointed it towards Roxe.

“Let’s start ‘Round 2’!”
