《Travelers of Ten Thousand Worlds》Chapter 51 Hot Pot

When Dylan entered the house, he saw everyone gathered around the large dining table. On top of the table was a portable gas stove with several plates filled with ingredients. The meat and vegetables were currently being boiled in a large pot. The scent of the broth permeated the air.
“Welcome back, Dylan!” Altyria saw him coming in when she looked up. “We’re having hot pot tonight.”
Yilan took some cooked meat and wrapped it in lettuce. “Yup, got to make sure we eat all the perishable food~”
Chrome focused on serving his wife by placing tofu, meat, and vegetables into her bowl.
Li Guanting was similar to Chrome in serving his girlfriend. Both he and Zhou Zhi were surprised that they would be having hot pot tonight. They didn’t expect that Chrome’s group would still have meat in their refrigerator in the RV, not to mention all these ingredients.
“It is a pity that Yuan Jin is still in a coma. Perhaps, if the scent of delicious food is strong enough, it could make him wake up.” Dylan said jokingly as he filled his mouth with food.
“Well, if he wakes up in time, he will be able to at least drink some broth.” Li Guanting laughed.
“We still have a lot of ingredients in our RV. Considering our refrigerator quality, I think the perishable food can last a couple more weeks” Altyria said with bulging cheeks.
Having finished their meal, they turned off the stove and stood up to bring the plates and bowls to the kitchen to get washed. Yilan had prepared buckets of water to use to wash the dishes in the kitchen.
Thump, thump, thump.
The sound of footsteps walking down the stairs sounded. Everyone turned their head towards that direction.
Yuan Jin, who was looking downwards as he walked down the stairs, raised his head when he reached the bottom. He was taken aback by everyone’s eyes staring at him.

“Did something happen?” Yuan Jin asked.
At the same time, his stomach bellowed loudly when he smelled the scent of hot pot.
Silence ensued as everyone looked at one another.
“Pfft!” Yilan couldn’t hold it in any longer and burst out laughing.
“Haha...We were just...Haha...Just talking about you, Yuan Jin.” Yilan laughed until tears formed in her eyes.
Li Guanting walked up to Yuan Jin and held his shoulder with one hand as he tried to restrain the smile on his face. “Jin ge, how are you feeling?”
“I feel refreshed and filled with energy...But what about me?” Yuan Jin was still confused. When he saw the pot with some broth in it, he couldn’t help feeling conscious of how his stomach was growling in hunger.
Dylan went to the kitchen and grabbed some meat and other leftover dishes back to the table.
“As you can see, we had hot pot for dinner and we were saying how you might be able to wake up if the scent of hot pot was enticing enough to you. And then, after we just finished eating, lo and behold, you woke up with your stomach wailing at the scent of hot pot.”
“Well, we still have some leftovers that you can eat.” Yilan wiped the tears in her eyes as she turned the stove back on. Luckily, there was still enough broth for one person to eat.
Chrome and Altyria had walked over to the sofa. Altyria buried her face in Chrome’s chest as she tried laughing quietly. Chrome had a faint smile on his face as he caressed her hair with one hand and wrapped the other around her waist.
After Altyria was done laughing, she rubbed her face on his shirt before raising her head.
“Ah! It’s red rain!” She exclaimed in surprise when her gaze passed by the window.
Unknowingly, it started raining red rain during their dinner.

The Humble Life of a Skill Trainer
For Joshua Still, Skills were the lifeblood of his business. He wanted to understand them, collect many of them, and teach a few of them. Or, so says the Tailors Guild. The same could be said by the Blacksmiths, the Bakers, the Butchers, the Candlestick Makers, the Mages, and every other Guild with enough money and clout to complain. But still, Skill Trainers provide a valuable service, and so he has managed to start his business and keep it under the table. To a degree. With many a bribe. But his quiet anonymous life of research, practice, and training was about to change. When the Baron demands you pay him a visit, you have little choice.
