I'm sorry for the delay, but I am back after suffering a mild depression, writers block, a sad interview, my pups diarrhea, and broken internet connection. Yes, i am finally back.

But from these the wort was the awkwardness that i felt while writing. I don't know why but one day it suddenly got difficult for me to write anything. but its okay now and the character editing is also almost done. Go and check it out if anybody got the time.

Day 6th: Noon.

Rocky’s P.O.V:-

Even though this system and her god in not really benevolent, but like Minie said I also don’t think there is any need to dwell on this matter. SO what if I am being mocked and being led by the system to pay hefty prices for chide abilities and monsters, but my day will still come. It may take some time, some days, months maybe even years, but there will come a day when no one will be able to put the harm on me and I will be the one to decide the rules.

“There, there, no need for so much hate! Like you thought there really is no need to dwell on it. Just live and our day will come. You just need to stay alive until that day.”

Yes, I know and understand all of it, but,

“Please restrict yourself sometimes, and even if you are reading my mind, please, don’t tell me that you are doing it. I feel uncomfortable.”

*Sigh!* she is getting better, there is no doubt about it, but her unnatural and unhealthy hobbies really are a headache. Well, they are unhealthy for me.

“Whoa! Your level increased by one.”

“Are you being sarcastic?”

“No, I mean thought you surely didn’t kill anyone nor did your monsters, but you still leveled up. Isn’t it amazing?”

“Now that you say that, it is noteworthy thing.”

So, did I level up because I also played an important role in defeating those mongrels or it happened because they were killed inside my own dungeon? This needs to be investigated properly, who knows I might find a new way to level up.

“Forget about it Rocky and concentrate.”

“Okay. So what do you plan to do?”

I felt a bit awkward when she starred daggers at my status screen. It feels like she was seriously considering about something and was pondering about how she should take care of me. But what did I do now.

“Well, I see a lot of new things added on you status, but where should we begin~. Ah, let’s start with the fusion skills. When did you get them?”

Oops! Looks like I forgot to tell her about them. It will work out, somehow. I am sure that it will.

“Oh that, if you still remember those rapid fireballs that I attacked the assassin with; those were because of this rapid fireball skill and the huge ball at the end was this fire bomb skill.”

I knew it was better to keep my explanations short and clean, so that is what I did.

“No, I am saying when did you create two fusion skills? I mean, it’s not like you created them after hearing their detail once from me, right?”

“Actually that is how I got them. Do you remember the skill that the archer dropped?”

“The rapid fire one!! Don’t tell me?”

“Yes, after you explained to me the working of fusion skills an idea came to my mind and I worked on it and someway and somehow queens fireball and my rapid fire skill combined to create this rapid fireball skill.”

“Monster.”

“Hey, hey, there is no need to call me names. But let me tell you they, I mean these fusion skills are nothing amazing to create. Actually, this internal fusion of skills is like mixing two different substances. It took me sometime to experiment with the rapid fireball skill, but the second one was automatically created by the spell creation panel.”

“Spell creation? When did you get something like that?”

‘Now how should I explain this to her?’ I thought. She who was standing while looking at me with her arms crossed and her mouth slightly opened really was not going to let me go without explaining everything to her. So,

“You see that creation title?”

“Whoa! You gained another title?”

“Haha, am I not great. The thing is, after I successfully conjured my fist fusion skill I was rewarded by this title. Though I didn’t receive any achievement for it, but I guess the title alone is sufficient.”

“So what does it say? What does it say?”

“Just look at the title’s information, well talk after that.”

“You really were lucky; no, we were both lucky to have survived that ordeal of a first invasion. But now that we see the results, though the conditions and the situation was clearly unfavorable to us and our preparations were also lacking… cause of me… but we were still able to live and also get quite a great haul out of it. Though she spoke amusingly, but it couldn’t hide her trembling from me. Though she was smiling, but her body was shaking, though she was laughing but sorrowful. Her eyes were clearly wide open with excitement and joy, but they were also wet with tears. And Even though I am not able to pinpoint the reason, but I think her unusual behavior is related to us getting thrashed in our fight with the humans.

‘Is she blaming herself for not being much help to me or something? Does she think we were almost killed because she didn’t properly help me prepare the dungeon and increase its defense?’ Sigh… a girls state of mind is really difficult to understand, but

Her body trembled when I said it wasn’t her fault, but she tilted her head as if showing her confused and saying she didn’t understand what I meant by that.

Well, if she wants to remain oblivious to it then I can only let her be. She will eventually come around on her own. Moving on to the main point of our current situation and the reason I opened my status for;

“Okay, now that we seen everything worth seeing, quickly tell me~ about the skill points~!”

But instead of getting straight to the point, she dropped a bomb at me and her bomb actually made me excited.

“Yes! But before that, I need to tell you some good news.”

“What, what? Please do. Tell me the good news.”

She kidded and shook her head from left to right before saying, “Okay, stop behaving like a child. But it really is a great news for you.”

“Okay, I’m cool tell me now.”

“It’s about your skill points. You can see that you have 9 unused points in you status, right?”

“Yes, right there at the bottom. I can see it, but so what?”

I was getting too excited for no reason, but it was the first time that she was telling me a good news after all, so she also didn’t stop me.

“That means you are getting 3 points per level while everyone else only gains a single point per level. Now is that not a good news or not?”

“What? This is fucking great!”

Its good and all, gaining more points than anyone else is great but I couldn’t help but ask her.

“But what is so special about me? I don’t think that the system is being benevolent and giving me a little relief here or is it?”

Her answer gave me Goosebumps. I never thought that the one element which I was scolding and getting mad at just some hour sago would not bear any grudge but help me in the end.

“So you mean to say It is because I have triple elemental affinity that I am getting this reward.”

“Yes.”

“So after all, it really is a help sent by the system to balance our expenditure problem.”

“Yeah, well, you at least won’t have to care about reserving your mana.”

“Okay, forget it this is just consuming time for nothing. Tell me about their usage already. WE still have a lot to do after all.”

“Okay, so skill points are the reward given by god to the associated when a person level up. These skills points are then used by the individuals to power up themselves and to increase their fighting abilities. You see your mana regeneration and mana control also leveled up didn’t they?”

“Now that you mention it.”

Their level really did rise. I don’t remember receiving any notification for their level increase. Is it also related to,

“Yes, level up also increases your skills. Well, not all your skills would rise at the same time, but it is still something isn’t it. Your skill levels would continue to rise even if you don’t practice.”

“But There must be a catch, right? Otherwise won’t skills just keep on leveling up and reach their highest point.”

“Yes, there is. Only those abilities has a chance to rise which are used frequently or are on the verge of increasing. And also only passive skills can be leveled this way. It has no effect on active skills.”

“Aha, well, it’s still better than nothing. So?”

“It’s simple. Do you see your stats and a value associate with them?”

“Yes, there is knowledge, wisdom, resistance, and vitality and they all range from 10- 40. With the highest value being 38 of knowledge. Oh! It seems I am quite intelligent, won’t you say? But what do they signify?”

I don’t know but she politely and quietly sorted when she heard me praise my own self. Am I not?

“Well, Vitality increases your health and health regeneration, knowledge for mana and mana regeneration. Resistance is for your overall magical and physical resistance and the best of them all wisdom. Wisdom directly affects your ability to think and react. It also increases your thought processing speed and skill gaining ability.”

“What? Isn’t wisdom stat quite broke then? Do you mean someone with an unparalleled amount of wisdom would be able to learn skills like drinking water!?”

“No, he will be able to learn a skill just by hearing its description.”

“What~? Isn’t that overpowered? So should I also put all of my skill points in my wisdom stat?”

“Please do it” Yes, yes I felt like my only had been fulfilled and I had become a superman, but her sentence wasn’t complete and the rest of it broke of heart and my dream. “if you are an idiot.”

“Please do it if you are an idiot she said.” And I heard the sound of a glass falling on the ground and shattering into a thousand pieces. Actually, it was my heart.

“Who are you calling an idiot!?”

“What else should I call you? You very well know how important it is for you to have large mana capacity, but you are still saying bull stuff like that! Now, tell me what are you if not an idiot!”

“Ouch~ that hurts~ please, be lenient to my petty little soul.”

Her eyebrows twitched and she sighed before saying, “Just, Put all of the skill points in your knowledge stat and let’s see how much your mana increases by. Okay?”

So I did as she said and increased my knowledge by 9 points and I felt a great surge of power directly coming from somewhere inside me and expending my mana.

Firstly, I felt shocked from the feeling of getting sudden and instant power up, but then my shock became displeasure when I noticed my total mana increase.

It left me dumbfounded. How the fuck would I have thought that some simple gestures and usage of some numerical components would lead to an increase of 90 of my mana.

“This is bullshit Minie, Bullshit. Why did it increase by so much? This is crazy~”

“What are you saying? Oh! I see. So one point in knowledge increases your mana by ten points. Not bad. But why are you mad?”

“What should I do if not being mad? Tell me, if these points can so easily increase my strength and everything then why do I have to go through that infuriating and lonely mediation? Why did I have to go through that long and hard route to get only a pitiful, a minuscule increase in my mana capacity? Why? Why?”

“Umm… please cool your mind first and about you doing meditation. The mana gain from doing meditation is only secondary, a bonus if I should say. The real reason I asked you to meditate was to help you gain better control at your mana. Didn’t you say that most of the time when you use a spell most of your mana leaks into the surrounding and not even ten percent of it is used in the actual spell?”

Because she was right so I did the only thing that I could do at that time. I nodded my head saying yes.

“Meditation is to help you with that and didn’t the level of you mana control and mana regeneration passive skill rose to level 3? Well, it happened because they were already on the verge of leveling up.”

Ah! So there is such a reason. I- I didn’t know. But how would I have known about it if she never clearly told me about it. And here I thought… sigh

“I’m sorry. I don’t know what to say.”

“Don’t worry about it. But isn’t a free source of to increase your mana capacity a great thing.”

“Huh, what do you mean?”

“I mean, at first your total mana was 385 and now after constant meditation it is increasing at the rate of 2 per days. Isn’t it great! Won’t you gain the ability to summon six more ant workers every month like this? An increase of 60 mana per month and for free is not a bad deal I think.”

“Yeah, you are right. But let me apologize again. It happened because of my slow witted and light mindedness. I promise it won’t happen again.”
