Hey guys, been a long time since the last chapter hasn't it. Sorry, I've had a stressful week. Writing this makes me feel happy. Geez, more than a week since the last update? Damn, that ain't good. Sorry for suddenly disappearing though. I think it was mostly the procrastination more than anything. Enjoy!

Feng Yun unleashed a violent stream of sword attacks at the incoming beasts. The bear's claw flew at his blade and he calmly parried the blow, simultaneously turning around to look at the leopard who leaped at him.
"Fuck off!"
Unstoppable Yuan Energy coursed through his palms as he pushed his palm to the figure of the leopard. The savage look in the leopard's eyes did not diminish as it was met with the powerful attack. Ripples were formed through the air as the intensity of the two forces clashed head on. Although Feng Yun was quite powerful, his strength still wasn't enough to deal with the leopard completely. At most, it only kept it at bay.
"Son of a----How am I going to deal with three if I can't even deal with one?!" Feng Yun was furious and applied more pressure on his sword, roaring as it pressed down on the leopard's claws.
"RRRRR!"
Feng Yun's battle was interrupted by the gigantic ape charging at him with his palms slapping against Feng Yun's body. He cursed as his body was thrown several meters back and spat out blood that was rising in his throat. Inwardly he remarked to himself in surprise how powerful the ape's strength was. Now the three beasts had all gathered together and were staring at him with savage looks in their eyes. Evidently, they had all found a common enemy to be fought.
"You guys team up on one teenager just for the sake of meat?! How deprived are you?" He glared venomously at the three beasts. He sighed to himself and thought,
'I need to take this seriously. If I don't put my all into this fight, it is very likely that I will die'.
Mustering his strength, Feng Yun stood tall and calmly glanced at the three beasts, a cold glare in his eyes. He knew that the fight wouldn't be won unless he put forth his entire effort.
"Come" Feng Yun stuck up the middle finger at the three beasts and taunted them over. They were immediately enraged and charged at him simultaneously.
"Twin Dragon's Harmony Torrent!"
The illusory images of two identical dragons appeared by his side and instantly unleashed a torrent of soul energy at the three opponents. The expressions on their faces turned slightly cautious and they instantly charged up Yuan Energy to block the attack.
ROAR!
The bellows of the two dragons assaulted the three beasts each one experiencing a piercing pain in their soul. Fortunately for them, the barriers that they had constructed to combat the attack managed to block the brunt of the soul attack and they only suffered a minor bit of damage. The beasts circulated Yuan Energy through their bodies in order to rid their souls of the invasive energy. Blood leaked out of their mouths but their combat condition wasn't bad at all.

Feng Yun stared, grim-faced as the beasts displayed their vicious grins and sneers and thought carefully about his next move. He knew from his recent attack that soul attacks would hardly work against such beasts who had surprisingly strong souls from killing for dozens of years.
'I'll need to employ stronger techniques or else they may find a weakness soon' Feng Yun calmly observed. Though he was somewhat surprised that his attack didn't work, he quickly regained his composure and organized a strategy to deal with them.
He narrowed his eyes, analyzing every part of the beasts' anatomy and attempting to derive a weakness from it. As if they could tell what he was thinking, the animals growled in return and savage killing intent manifested in a larger amount than before.
Feng Yun didn't pay any attention to the killing intent that had appeared from the beasts and instead began to summon the Yuan Energy from within him in order to execute a more powerful martial art than he had used up till now.
"Hell Thunder Dragon's Descent!"
The roars of a hellish dragon sounded throughout the air as an illusory shape began to take form above the beasts' heads. The shape was made from Yuan Energy, and a powerful amount as well. The dragon roared once more, more loudly and began to descend towards the beasts.
"Growl!!!"
The beasts felt the enormous pressure descending onto their bodies and the awe inspiring figure of the Hell Thunder Dragon preparing to take their lives. However, the beasts weren't willing to give up their lives easily. They immediately put forth all of their energy into their physical attacks, hoping to disperse the illusory figure.
BANG!
The dragon and the beasts' attacks collided together and an ensuing battle of chaos began, neither side letting up. Blood began to spray from the beasts' mouths, signifying that the dragon had the upper hand. However, the figure showed signs of disappearing, as the force of the energy driving it began to disappear. Feng Yun knew that he had to take the opportunity to strike while the beasts were distracted by the dragon.
He held his sword by his side as he rushed forward to behead all of them at a frightening speed. Though the beasts were occupied with the dragon, they still noticed Feng Yun coming towards them with a mad killing intent. Even his eyes were filled with bloodlust.
"DIE DIE DIE!"
The beasts watched in horror as he drew nearer and nearer. The ape, bear and leopard knew that if they didn't do something about the dragon, Feng Yun himself would kill them both. Instantly, their eyes all turned red with madness and they maneuvered their thick killing intent to break apart the dragon once and for all.
CRACK!
The hellish dragon that had inspired such terror began to fall apart and shatter with the pressure of the killing intent in addition to the Yuan Energy. At the same time it shattered, Feng Yun had arrived at the location of the gigantic ape, who had sweat running down it's face. Although it had just helped slay the dragon, in doing so it had exhausted a tremendous amount of energy and it had no time to react, and could only allow itself to be torn apart by Feng Yun's sword.

SLICE!
The ape's head fluttered through the air, blood flying from its tip and a grief-stricken face replaced it's savage grin. Now, the previously all powerful beast was on the ground, headless. Feng Yun didn't even pay a second thought to the corpse as he made his way toward the other beasts. Unfortunately, they had recovered faster than the ape and swatted Feng Yun away before he could defend.
WHACK!
Feng Yun was thrust backwards by an enormous palm attack by the bear and leopard combined. Blood sprayed from the boy's mouth and he looked up, his cheeks looking slightly frail. He had lost quite the amount of blood from this battle and if he lost anymore, then it was possible that he would die. Normally, in this situation, a thirteen year old boy would be on the ground in tears, despairing and begging for his life, but no, not Feng Yun. In fact, the opposite happened.
"HAHA! GOOD! KEEP AT IT! KEEP BLOODY WELL AT IT!"
Feng Yun seemed to have gone insane. He picked himself up and a blood red light appeared in his eyes. He looked like an evil fiend at this point and killing intent practically rolled off of him in waves. In actuality, it wasn't that he had gone insane. It's just that he had found his former bloodthirsty personality once more. When he was in this state, there was absolutely nothing that could stop the carnage.
"You've done it now. You've thoroughly pissed me off!!!" The remaining two beasts stepped back in horror as the blood soaked Feng Yun stepped forward. "What? You're running? Now now, the fun's just started!"
He then proceeded to leap off the ground at an alarming speed, his figure utterly unable to be seen. The Cloudscale Evasion Arts had been powered up to the max, to the point where his speed was something the beasts couldn't compete with. His sword gleamed brightly as he flew through the air. In a matter of seconds, he was right before the leopard. Reacting in shock, the leopard slashed its claw at Feng Yun in order to avoid the strike.
"DIE!"
In response to this, he didn't even blink as he continued on his path. Feng Yun concentrated more energy into his sword and swung it downward with an even greater power than before. This was naturally because the killing intent on his side served to suppress the leopard's strength and make the power of his strike greater.
CHOP!
The sword sliced cleanly through the leopard's claw, which made it exclaim in pain and blood flowed freely from the wound. It's combat capacity was now severely limited because of the deformation.
"Off with your head!"
Without giving it a moment's worth of rest, Feng Yun sliced the sword through the leopard's neck, severing the head completely. The leopard fell to the floor faster than it could form a reaction. The bear was stiff with shock as it watched as Feng Yun turned his violent gaze towards it as well.
"It seems like you're the last one! Since you were the first to come here, why don't I make things a little more...appropriate."
Feng Yun took one step forward and he covered the distance between himself and the bear instantly. The bear, in a frenzy, swiped its claws at him, but found that the boy was able to dodge every single one of them with ease.
"Sword Blood Gravity!"
The blood on Feng Yun's body began to evaporate into mist, a bloody mist, and coagulated together to amplify the amount of gravity on the bear's body. It found that it's mobility had been severely limited and that it could hardly move at all. As it felt it's own body pressing down into the ground, Feng Yun cackled evilly. He lifted his foot and pressed it down on the bear's shoulder, it's apparent weak spot.
"RAWRRRR!"
"I'm gonna give it to you straight. Since you've met me...you're basically fucked." The bear stopped crying and fell silent. "But you know, everything has karma. And I...I am the messenger, who has come to reap your karma. I'm the bloody Slaughter Ghost."
With that, Feng Yun sank his sword into the shoulder of the bear and watched as it screamed in pain. However, his face was completely expressionless as he watched the bear with an indifferent gaze. While the sword was implanted in the bear's shoulder, he wriggled it inside to intensify the pain. The bear couldn't take it and let out wretched screams of despair. After a while of this torturous behavior, Feng Yun decided to stop.
"I think that's enough. You've learned your lesson. Now die."
With that, Feng Yun pierced the bear's head with his sword and immediately retracted it, wiping off the blood and gore on it. He had been through a bloody battle, and had been injured heavily. However, he had gained some things from the fight. His battle power and combat experience had significantly increased and his analysis of his enemies' weak spots grew. But there was one more thing that had come out of the battle that was extremely important. His coldness and ruthlessness had come back.
The Slaughter Ghost had returned!

An invasion from another dimension is shut down by an Empire's traitor and the world has a scant few decades to build the strength to resist a multidimensional Empire. How will the world fair when no one even knows its doom is one barred gate away? Fortunately, the traitor has a plan. Maybe with a bit of luck and planning, he can build a force to defend the world without anyone realizing it. Author's Thoughts: What is litRPG (From wikipedia) - LitRPG, short for Literary Role Playing Game, is a literary genre combining the conventions of MMORPGs with science-fiction fantasy novels.[1] LitRPG is a literary genre where games or game-like challenges form an essential part of the story. A LitRPG work simultaneously narrates the story of characters inside and outside of the game-world. At least some of the characters in a LitRPG novel therefore understand that they are playing a game: they are 'meta-aware'. So, while Tolkien's Lord of the Rings is a fantasy novel, a book about people creating avatars and interacting in a Lord of the Rings MMORPG would be a LitRPG novel. Why do I read them? You know, I am not too sure. I love MMOs. I played them, quit them, joined up and repeated the cycle. They are fun! They are a massive waste of time but so are most games. Do I want to read about someone else playing them? Sort of?The advent of VR and the possibility of VR someday becoming so immersive that you can't tell them from reality sets the imagination on fire. What if this could be life? But most stories fall short. At the end of the day the protagonist hangs up his VR helmet and goes to have dinner with his mom and dad or other family and it becomes meaningless. It's like the story that ends because the main character woke up and nothing you read matters. There have been some books that explore the concept of the intersection of reality and total immersion VR. Enders Game is a classic. There were a few others that escape me but they exist, however, the cross between the game and reality is weak.So what if the game was real? The technology needed for total immersion VR is so advanced that by the time we reach that goal technology should have naturally evolved to include several items. You must have direct neural input. You simply can't have a total immersion (all senses and perfect presence) experience without this basic prerequisite. If you have direct neural access, you can probably do neat things like feed knowledge and skills directly to that person. You can undoubtedly do many horrible things as well. Muscles are controlled by the brain. If you control the brain why would you let the body just sit there and rot? A person that sits unmoving for 24 hours a day will have their body whither away just like a coma patient. However, if you control the brain you could control the muscles. On a basic level, this would be isometric impulses, working muscle group against muscle group to avoid atrophy. Taken to its logical conclusion you would be able to gain muscle mass and program muscle memory. The flip side is that you could remote control their body... but let's not go there. So what would people do if it were real? Well, they would probably limit and regulate it since the drawbacks are very obvious. Even if you look at the basic aspects of this you can see some negative possibilities. Look at the Sword Art Online anime. Personally, I think they missed the boat by putting a bomb in the VR helmet. Do you really need a bomb when you have direct access to the brain? So what kind of events would you need to have a situation where the obvious drawbacks haven't been explored? Maybe a society where the advancement of technology has so far outstripped the explorations of its applications that ignorance was truly bliss? Okay, so I had to put in an alien invasion to kickstart the premise, but that was just one of the possibilities.
