Hey guys sorry for the late update. I ill be following off from Friday's supposed-to-be chapter and will probably update another one today for saturday. If I can't...then shit. I will try to do my best. Thank you reader-san for using some of your time to read and enjoy my book once again. Let us continue with this ahem *cough* *cough* filler episode.

The elders had a grim expression on their faces as they witnessed the sea of blood arriving towards them. It appeared to be formed out of the carcasses of the dead demonic beasts and...their comrades. Feng Yun narrowed his eyes at this sight with disgust. The formation seemed to be very powerful, but the methods that it used were extremely cruel. Suddenly, in his head a voice sounded out.
"Oh? A Demonic Formation. That's quite interesting. It seems to be made by a particularly decent expert as well!"
Warden's voice came out of nowhere. Feng Yun started a bit before comprehending what he had said. He hurriedly sent back,
"Warden. What is that thing?"
"Hm? Oh, that is a Demonic Formation. Regular formations merely utilize the user's internal energy to activate it. Demonic Formations are the opposite. They utilize blood and other forms of evil to activate them. And usually they require a large amount of it. However, these formations aren't too common. Most of the strong experts that had practiced in these formations had been eradicated to the point of extinction." Feng Yun gasped in shock. So it was like this!
"But then...if they were hunted to that extent, then how is one showing up here?"
"I said all the particularly strong ones were wiped out. The weaker ones probably still live. But even those ones number few. My guess is that one of them escaped here and hid themselves from the higher planes."
"Exactly what do you define as 'weaker ones'? This formation clearly holds the power to hurt the elders and the City Lord!"
"The strength of the formation expert must have been at the Asura realm. Hmph, too weak. And even so, these idiot demonic beasts still can't utilize the full power of the formation. If they could, then they could easily wipe out the five Asuras that dominate this tiny continent!" Feng Yun was speechless at Warden's insults. Then, he sighed in exasperation. He had long gotten used to Warden's proclamations of how weak the experts on the continent were. Feng Yun once again wondered just what was defined as powerful in the higher planes.
"These Truth realm and Tyrant realm idiots can't see something stronger than them when they see it! They took out their god damn spirits for frick sake! They should be running away! Ugh, some people have no eyes." Warden sank into silence and no longer opened his mouth, clearly disappointed.
Feng Yun looked towards the battlefield once again and saw that the elders and City Lord had taken out their spirits to combat the arriving threat. Most of them were weapon spirits, being that of a hammer, sword or axe. One elder had a lizard like body when he unleashed his spirit, showing that he had a beast spirit. The City Lord glanced at the approaching wave of blood and raised his hammer spirit high and mightily. He appeared incredibly haughty. Wu Lao had clearly put all of his faith in his spirit and believed that it could conquer the wave of blood.
"Elders, converge your spirit abilities on the wave!" The elders roared and a powerful presence pressed down on the whole battlefield. They all rushed forward with the intent to disperse the wave by striking it with brute force. The wolf smiled coldly and remarked,

"Fools! The Blood Congealing Formation isn't something that you can easily disperse. Become trapped!"
The wave didn't falter in the presence of the spirits and took it head on, continuing at the same speed as before. WU Lao let out a snort and brought his hammer crashing onto the wave. A holy ring surrounded the hammer and made it shimmer in the sunlight. It collided with the wave in an explosion of light against evil. The blood wave seemed to struggle against the spirit ability of Wu Lao before becoming normal once again and instead pushing back against Wu Lao. Wu Lao's smug smile turned to one of intense concentration. He unleashed his spirit abilities one after the other, his full strength unraveling itself before the crowd's eyes. Each one was incomparably dazzling and had varying effects, but none of them were able to shake the wave. He had almost exhausted all of his spiritual energy and had a grim expression. He nodded his head to the elders and they understood.
They too unleashed their spirit abilities along with Wu Lao, not hesitating in the slightest to use their full strength. But although they were strong, the wave seemed to just absorb the spiritual energy and refine it. By the time they had used up all of their spiritual energy, the elders and the City Lord were panting and had sweat running down their faces.
"Impossible", Wu Lao exclaimed. "Even if it could counter mine, it certainly can't counter the abilities of all of my fellow brothers as well as my own together!"
The Howling Thunder Wolf smiled with satisfaction as he confirmed the solemn expression of the City Lord. He yelled at Chishi, who was busy maintaining the formation. Despite it being very powerful, the formation required a lot of power to keep it going.
"Chishi! Activate the second phase!"
The tiger like beast nodded his head with shining eyes, clearly very satisfied with the results so far. He yelled at the demonic beasts around him, who immediately obeyed his commands and arranged themselves in a different way. More flesh and blood was gathered in the center of the formation, evoking a brighter shade of red. The formation greedily sucked the carnage in and refined them. If an expert were to see this, they would be shocked. The beasts being devoured at this moment were that of Tyrant and Truth realm beasts. The Howling Thunder Wolf must have personally killed these and saved them for the formation!
Meanwhile the wave, had stopped pushing the old men backwards and instead, applied a different action. The blood spread itself out, thinning the defensive layer but also surrounding the experts completely. They were trapped in a blood wall. Wu Lao saw the danger in this and said,
"Quick! We must escape through the top. Go!" The elders understood and flew upwards as fast as they could towards the top of the wall. It was the only place that wasn't covered by the blood. Unfortunately, their thoughts of escaping quickly vanished as the next events happened. Even as they all frantically rushed out with all their power, the formation had other plans. From the inner wall, the blood congealed together to form spikes that had deadly tips and frightening power. The spikes rushed out of the wall, still attached to it but lengthening itself. The spikes had caught them completely off guard and it was difficult to avoid them. Luckily, one of the elders sensed it and yelled for them to get out of the way. They all dodged at the exact time and the spike traveled past them. It halted their progress for only a second, but that was enough for more danger to come.

Before they could resume their journey up the blood wall, the spikes congealed once again, this time in many other forms. Spears made of blood flew out from the wall at the top, raining on them en masse. It was like a storm of swords. Wu Lao roared and waved his hammer deflecting any blood spears that came his way. The spears dispersed when they were cut in half and reentered the wall of blood. This made it difficult for the old men to make any progress up the wall. But true horror appeared in their eyes when they noticed that the top of the wall was beginning to close. If the top closed, there wouldn't be any chance of escaping. They would be easily picked off then. It would only be a minute before the top closed. The old men immediately stopped caring for whether they would be injured or not. If they didn't escape the wall, then they would be trapped and Twin Viper City would be easy pickings for the horde.
It seemed like they were getting closer and closer but the power and abilities of the wall was just too strong. It had powers that could completely suppress them. When they were a mere five meters from the opening, a net of blood wires formed, covering the entire circumference of the wall. The elders were in front and their eagerness was unable to stop them from confronting the wall. Wu Lao looked carefully at the wall before his face paled. He shouted,
"Elders, don't get close to that net!"
It was too late, the elders in front, the wicked red robed man and the yellow robed man attacked the net with their spirits their arms reaching forth. Their spirits pierced through the net and their arms went through. The old men laughed at how easy it had been but they failed to notice that the blood that had been cut off materialized into the blood net once again just as fast as it disappeared. It reappeared in the same place, at the exact place where the elders' arms were.
SCHIIICK!
The arms of the two elders were instantly severed and blood streamed out of the injury. The elders shouted out in pain and their eyes widened. They reeled back in shock and even their flight ability was temporarily cancelled because of their nerves being punctured. Blood constantly poured from their mouths. The two elders were dropping from the sky at an alarming rate. They were not dead but mortally injured. If they didn't get treatment, then they would undoubtedly die. The two men regained consciousness mid flight and realized what had happened. They frantically rushed back up and tried to join Wu Lao, who was screaming at them. However, the Blood Congealing Formation doesn't just let its targets go after it has wounded them.
As soon as the elders recovered their bearings, the blood wall acted. Ten spears of blood lashed out from either side of the wall. The red robed old man had a very strong body due to his cultivation being of the Tyrant realm so even if he did not expect the blades to come, he could still somewhat withstand it. For the yellow robed old man who was of the Truth realm however, was a different story.Wu Lao saw the spears and shouted at them. The red robed man looked towards his sides and only inches away, were blood spears nearing him.
"Shit", he cursed to himself and knew he could not avoid the blow. Instead, he curved his body such that it only hit the lower part of his chest and nothing vital. The spears flew straight into his chest at an extremely fast speed, embedding themselves about an inch or two deep. The red robed old man gritted his teeth and attempted to resist the urge to cough out the blood that was rising in his throat. At the same time, he pulled out the blood spears from his chest and dropped them. He could not hold the blood in for less than a second before it flew from his mouth. Wiping his mouth, he looked over at the yellow robed man to see how he was doing. The sight that met his eyes horrified him. The yellow robed man whom he had once called brother had been impaled by a much larger multitude of spears than what had assaulted the red robed man. Unfortunately, because his physique wasn't as strong as the red robed man, all of the spears had struck vital points on his body.
There were two spears that pierced through his heart and out the back. His entire left leg was severed off. His shoulders both had been impaled. Worst of all, even his lower region, a man's most precious jewel, was pierced by a spear. No one could take that kind of damage, not even an expert of the Truth realm. The red robed man stared in shock as the yellow robed old man's lifeless body dropped down and succumbed to gravity. The red robed man couldn't even gather up his brother's body and whispered,
"Brother Wu Li....Brother Wu Li is dead!"
His cry shook the blue robed man and Wu Lao out of their stupor and they regained their senses. Immediately, sorrow enshrouded their eyes and they were trying desperately to hold back tears. Wu Li was a family member and had been subordinate to Wu Lao for thousands of years. To see his life long friend slaughtered before his very eyes evoked sorrow...and rage. His expression turned red and fury was present on his face.
"WOLF! I WILL KILL YOU!"
Wu Lao rushed upwards and the blue robed man followed him. The red robed man tried to follow him but he was injured gravely and so his speed could not match up to theirs. The blue robed man said,
"Wu Kong, get up as fast as you can. We need you to defeat that monster." Wu Kong, the red robed man gritted his teeth and exerted all of his strength. An indomitable willpower appeared on his face as he struggled to fly. They were all trying their hardest but the time limit was reached very soon. They watched in defeat as the blood wall closed itself above them. Wu Lao pounded his fist against the top, in an effort to open it forcefully. He roared loudly and didn't stop unleashing his most powerful attacks. Unfortunately, they were all of no use and soon, his pounding slowed down. The blue robed man, the most calm of all the elders, put a hand around Wu Lao's shoulder and gritted his teeth. Wu Kong caught up and he too looked away in deep shame. His wounds had gotten worse and fresh blood continued to pour out.
"We're trapped here. There's nothing we can do."
Th truth was just too hard to bear and the group of three elapsed into silence. Meanwhile outside, the wolf was smiling with delight. It knew exactly what was happening inside the formation as he currently controlled it. He was ecstatic to find out that one of the elders had been killed and that the rest were trapped.
"Haha. I have finally won! Now, if we can just trap that old bastard Twin Viper in this formation, then the city will be mine!"
What he didn't know was that the man in question had already arrived. An old man with green hair stood at the front of the the gates, seemingly calm and tranquil. Though he was old, he had a very powerful presence and gave off a feeling of depth. The man's eyes were viper like, as if a snake had possessed him. He reflected wisdom and power. However, on this expert's face was sorrow. He glanced at his hand, which held a shattered green talisman. Taking a deep breath, he stared at the blood wall and whispered,
"Li'er is dead and the others are trapped in that formation. I see, it must be that wolf that Lao'er spared a thousand years back." The old man closed his eyes and no longer said anything. He disappeared in an instant and reappeared on the battlefield, hovering above the air. Everyone noticed the appearance of the old man and gasped. What a strong presence! They made guesses as to his identity. The wolf noticed this as well and turned his head to gaze at the man. A cold smile crept up onto his lips. The old man narrowed his eyes at the wolf and said,
"It has been a long time since I had to personally intervene. You wanted me out! I came out!"

My Roleplay Server
Given the chance to reincarnate in a world with two wishes, who would say no? Especially when you could live a life you've always wanted. This is supposed to be a relaxed story about a man fulfilling the dreams he couldn't in his first life. There will still be drama and more adult things, but overall it will be pretty chill. The action of the story will come in when he finishes making the server. As of right now, 4/6/2022, it's looking like this is going to be a slower-paced novel. Hopefully, in the future, I can get the pacing downright. This is my first released story, so feel free to give me all your constructive criticism. I do plan on finishing this story. Please point out any mistakes you see. This novel is also on Webnovel and Scribble Hub.
