Hey Guys, I haven't written comment like this since a few chapters before. I saw a few interesting viewpoints about the last chapter. I know guys, it wasn't the best ever. Even I didn't like it too much. It seemed kinda cheesy and there was just too much plot armor! But, I mean how else was Feng Yun supposed to get out of that situation. I can't just make him erupt with the power to kill a Tyrant realm beast! That is absurd and absolutely wrong! So, best choice that would least incite the wrath of you guys, make the Great Devil Ape amused! Yup. Stupidest way ever but...eh, you can't have it all. Gaining allies is good too.

"If it means your calm and handsome face turn ugly, then protecting a human truly is worth it!" The expression on the Scarlet Phoenix flickered and shock appeared for a moment. He had never imagined for the situation to turn out this way. It was quite ironic actually. The Great Devil Ape was the first one to try to kill him yet now, he was the only one who would help Feng Yun. The irony in this was spectacular! The red robed man's expression reverted back to normal and he let out a cold snort.

"Hmph, even if you have sought to help this pitiful human, do you truly believe that you can offer protection? You have only recently broken through to the Tyrant realm yet I have been among the Truth realm for many years! My cultivation isn't something that you can suppress with your current power." On the Great Devil Ape's face grew a large grotesque smile. It was filled with overwhelming confidence and no fear.

"Oh? I really don't know about that. Sure your cultivation is of the eighth layer of the Tyrant realm. But did you really believe that I would challenge you without a proper plan?" The Great Devil Ape produced its black spear, clad in a powerful killing intent. It seemed to emanate an aura of having killed countless beasts and cultivators, saints and demon. The spear caused surprise to emerge on the Scarlet Phoenix's face. He now looked as if he had aged quite a bit. A stern look now appeared upon his face. There was also a little extra paleness added to it.

"Scarlet Phoenix, you should be able to tell what blade this is correct? After all, you have witnessed its might personally in the Immortal Fiendlands a couple thousand years ago. Except, there was a different person using this weapon."

"You...how did you obtain the Divine Beast Exterminator? That beast was supposedly in possession of that abominable weapon?" The Scarlet Phoenix slightly backed away from the weapon. Then, his eyes grew cold and unwavering.

"Even if you have that weapon, no matter where you got it from, you still shouldn't be able to use it to its full potential with your insignificant level of cultivation. At most, you can only hold me off for a while." The Scarlet Phoenix thought this to himself while staring at the two near him with an evil gaze. Feng Yun was in a very confused state. He had no idea what the hell was going on. One minute he was about to be killed by this damn ape. Next minute he was being saved by it. This monkey truly was indecisive! Feng Yun didn't know why this ape held so much confidence in holding off the incomparably tyrannical Scarlet Phoenix. Furthermore, he was also perplexed towards the reason why this ape despised divine beasts. It seemed as if the ape would rather offend a divine beast than let it kill a human that similarly despised one. Feng Yun found himself understanding this ape less and less.

The Great Devil Ape smiled at Feng Yun from up front and seemed to reassure him of victory. Secretly behind the ape's back, a talisman was in one of his hands. Feng Yun saw this and his eyes glowed brighter. Then, the Great Devil Ape shattered the talisman into pieces in which the fragments shattered as well. Feng Yun understood the meaning behind such an action. The Great Devil Ape had put on a false confidence. Rather, the confidence wasn't in its own strength. It was relying on the strength of the beast who held the other part of the talisman. The fact that the Great Devil Ape held so much confidence in this person showed that he must be someone of peerless strength! Feng Yun realized that the Great Devil Ape was merely stalling for time until this peerless expert arrived. The Scarlet Phoenix was correct. He could not match up to it even if he had the spear on his side. I can't beat you myself, then I will have someone else beat you for me!

"Since you have dared to offend me, I trust that you know that your death is inevitable! Die for me and allow me to kill that person hiding like a coward behind your back!" The Scarlet Phoenix charged forward, fire elemental energy surrounding his body. He was enshrouded in a thick armor made of it that seemed to be untouchable. The fire energy on it seemed capable of incinerating anything that touched it. A pair of fiery wings appeared behind the armor, enabling it to fly straight at the ape with speeds that clearly evenly matched the likes of Feng Lei or even faster!

The Great Devil Ape twirled its spear in a graceful fashion and charged killing energy into the spear. He grasped the spear tightly in one hand and slammed it into the incoming Scarlet Phoenix. The intense fire collided with the black spear and a deafening explosion occurred. The Great Devil Ape was blown back several meters its spear losing a bit of grip and falling limply in its arm. The Scarlet Phoenix used this chance to deliver a Truth skill directly to the Great Devil Ape.

"Phoenix Fiery Hurricane!"

The man immediately conjured a large storm of fire that constantly accumulated the surrounding air into its vacuum. It gradually increased in size until it grew almost twice the Great Devil Ape. The ape had a grim expression on its face but still managed to force out a smile. The Scarlet Phoenix let out a cold snort seeing this and launched the hurricane towards the ape. It contained terrifying destructive as the area a few meters away from it burned to dust without even touching the flame. The onlookers ran as fast as they could to escape the energy. The Great Devil Ape once more raised the spear, this time with both hands and pointed the tip straight at the hurricane.

"Illusory Killing Spear Flashes!"

The spear transformed into multiple different mirages of spears each filled with a great killing aura that weighted itself on Feng Yun. He immediately felt fear looking at this attack. He had never experienced such killing intent before. In his days as an assassin, he had amassed a large amount of killing intent from the countless deaths of villains. However, in comparison to this, his killing intent was crap! Each spear stroke was filled with sharp aura tinged on the edges and looked as if each strike could kill. The Great Devil Ape let out a roar and merged its attack with the incoming hurricane. The result was completely fantastic!

BOOOOOM!

The hurricane dissipated into bits of fire and lost its great luster. The spear flashes however continued on their path aiming straight at the Scarlet Phoenix. Blood seeped out of the man's mouth as he rapidly retreated with a great pace. The spear flashes were extremely fast and were almost upon him. The Scarlet Phoenix wiped the blood from his mouth and conjured another Truth skill.

"Inferno Ultimate Defense!"

The fire energy around him suddenly transformed once again, this time into the form of a shield. The shield was fiery red in color and had a strong aura being emitted from the edges. The illusory image of a phoenix appeared above the shield. The phoenix let out a shrill shriek that pierced through the sky. The spear flashes reached the shield and a phenomenon began to happen. The shield looked as if it was about to be pierced through but instead, the lights on the spear flashes grew dimmer. Then, the fiery energy began to absorb the spear flashes into the shield. Soon, the awe inspiring power from before was gone and only the inferno shield remained.

The Great Devil Ape, seeing this sighed with dissatisfaction and suddenly coughed up a large amount of blood. He let out another one after a couple breaths. He seemed to be suffering from internal injuries, quite serious ones at that. Feng Yun looked worriedly at the ape. He didn't understand why the ape was pushing itself so far for him. He was even making his injuries worse by fighting the Scarlet Phoenix repeatedly. Feng Yun felt compassion and pity for the beast despite it trying to kill him before.

"Great Tyrant, just stop it already. You are making your condition very bad. If this keeps up, then at this rate, you may die of blood loss!"

"Oh? This much is nothing. It will regenerate after a while. Did you forget that Tyrant realm cultivators have the strongest of bodies? Rather, do you think I am afraid of this bastard? That insults me very much. This divine beast is nothing but a stepping stone. I have my pride as well. I will not cower from an asshole such as this guy. I have no reason to. I shall stand my ground!" The Great Devil Ape's voice was full of pride and arrogance. He would not stand a divine beast trying to boss him around. Feng Yun felt an intense admiration for the beast who had tried to kill him earlier. He was truly a great friend.

"That's quite a mouth coming from you Great Devil Ape! Please don't spout such crap when you know you will die by this noble one's hand! That attack of yours was quite unique. I remember seeing it from somewhere before, but I do not remember when. Anyways, I have the feeling you haven't completely mastered it yet and this is the reason you suffered internal injuries!" The Scarlet Phoenix said with a triumphant glare.

"Great Tyrant, he is actually right. You must have a plan correct or you wouldn't be smiling right now." Feng Yun said to the Great Devil Ape who seemed to be beaming at the moment. He was confused. How could he still smile? Suddenly, a terrifying pressure emerged from the atmosphere. The pressure came as a sudden shock to everyone who had been involved with the fight. Everyone hunched their backs under the immense pressure. Even the Scarlet Phoenix seemed to lower itself to its knees. They all raised their eyes to the skies and the sight they were met with stunned them.

There in the sky towering with pride above the masses was a large three tailed python. The snake was too long to even measure. It had cold and sharp eyes that could tear through anyone's heart with a single glance. The snake had a cultivation that was unfathomable and mysterious. It was clearly superior to the Scarlet Phoenix as the red robed man was currently shaking in fear.

"Why, why is it him?!" The Scarlet Phoenix muttered under its breath in a shaky voice.

The snake descended slightly and then in a great and powerful voice, it shouted,

"Oi, Little Monkey, you're in a life threatening experience this early in your cultivation? Boy, you need to train harder. Once you master the Illusory Killing Spear Flashes, I'll let you roam around again." Its eyes softened when it looked at the ape. The crowd instantly realized that the monkey had a great relationship with this awe inspiring snake.

"Sorry Uncle Dai. You see, I was trying to stabilize my aura when I encountered a divine beast that intruded on our territory. It just won't leave from this mountain. Unfortunately, it is stronger than me and thus I need help!" The ape seemed like a little child as it looked at Uncle Dai with a reverent expression. The snake turned its head to look at the red robed middle aged man. Then, its gaze narrowed and a coldness erupted from within it.

"Divine beast, peh. What the hell is a divine beast doing on my territory. Judging by your terrified expression, I assume you should know exactly who I am. Good, then you know you shouldn't have offended me and my nephew when you came here." The snake was overbearing and powerful, not even giving the Scarlet Phoenix a shred of fairness.

"Great Divine Beast Slayer, this one na....naturally has a...a reason for this excursion. A human that your nephew was protecting is one who murdered my wife! I need him to take revenge. Your nephew took action to defend him and I could not just stand by and watch as the killer got away. Thus, things got a little rough. I hope that you, honored one, that you will take pity." The snake seemed to gain interest as he stared at Feng Yun and let out a little gasp of surprise. Then, he let out a laugh.

"Haha. A little kid actually angered you to this extent? Laughable." The Scarlet Phoenix flinched from the insults but did not respond. it was not in the position to respond. "Anyways, since my nephew is protecting him and values him, then naturally I value him as well! WHOEVER DARES TO HARM MY FAMILY SHALL PAY FOR THEIR ACTIONS"

Feng Yun on the ground was enthralled by the powerful and noble display that this Uncle Dai made. He was eternally powerful and did not fear the Scarlet Phoenix in the slightest. Rather, he completely disdained him. He inquired his identity from the Great Devil Ape.

"Him? He is the Divine Beast Slayer who slaughtered a whole divine beast clan just because they offended him in the Immortal Fiendlands. He is known throughout the lands and is feared by many. He is a Three-Tailed Black Death Python. And last of all, that guy...is my uncle!"
