《Overlord Spirit Martial Emperor》Soul Sacrifice

Feng Yun listened for the Warden in expectancy. What was it that he needed in order to save Xia Qing? He needed to know fast else Xia Qing would die very soon. He couldn't stop the bleeding forever. After a moment, the Warden spoke.
"Well, the price isn't really that big. All you need to do is to sacrifice all the souls that you have accumulated over the course of the last few years and fuse them into Xia Qing's body. Her injuries will be recovered and she may gain an extra benefit from the ordeal." The Warden's voice sounded casual as if this was a trivial matter. Feng Yun was surprised that the price would be so simple. He had thought that an injury of this magnitude would need much larger attention but the Warden had waved it off as something so trivial.
"Is that truly all there is to healing her?" Feng Yun was slightly skeptical. The Warden laughed.
"I wouldn't need to joke about this kind of matter. All you need to do is sacrifice the souls that you have gathered. The amount should be enough to heal her and help her get to the second layer at the same time. It is very simple, but you must be willing to do it. After all, although all of them were quite weak, it is still over a thousand souls." The Warden gave Feng Yun a warning. He warned him that Feng Yun would have to start over and collect more souls in order to exploit the full uses of the Void Universal Manual once again. Feng Yun merely smiled and sighed with relief.
"It truly is all that there is. I'm very grateful. Warden, there is no need for me to hesitate. I will obviously choose to save her. Begin the process please." Feng Yun's gaze was resolute and had no trace of hesitation. It could be said that he truly wished to save Xia Qing. It didn't matter what the price was, he would save her. She, who had thrown herself behind him in order to protect him, was now in danger. He owed her this much.
"Warden, begin the process."
"I'm not the one who has to do it. That is you. I'm in in corporeal form and I'm trapped in a damn book. I can't do shit to the outside world. I can teach you how though." The Warden spat out. It seems he didn't always enjoy being kept in charge of the Prison. Feng Yun could even here him muttering to himself,
"Damn it. I've been here for a few millenia and nothing has changed in this Prison. Come on, master. Give me a new posting will you?"
Feng Yun didn't understand too much of what he was saying and slightly shook his head. He woke the Warden from his thoughts.
"So how do I do it?"

"Oh, first place your hands over her stomach."
"Like this?" Feng Yun placed his hands carefully over Xia Qing's stomach.
"Yeah, then begin circulating Yuan Energy through your palms. The direct contact with Yuan energy will spark an opening within her soul."
Feng Yun calmly circulated the Yuan energy and a faint yellow glow could be seen on the edge of his hands. Xia Qing's complexion turned slightly pale however. She didn't look too good. Feng Yun slightly panicked.
"Warden, she looks worse than she was before. What the hell happened?"
"Calm down, young master. This is part of the process. Her soul just divided and created a spatial hole to absorb the souls that you are about to give her. That division is making her feel a bit of pain, that's all."
The Warden continued his speech and gave further directions to Feng Yun.
"Release the manual out and open the book." Feng Yun did as he was told and a book appeared hovering in front of him a few feet away. He willed it with his mind and the book opened up to reveal the pages filled with the symbols of the thousands of beasts that he had killed and absorbed.
"Okay, you've done well so far. Remember, keep your Yuan energy circulating at the same rate. Repeat the words that I shall tell you. Initiate Soul Sacrifice!"
"Initiate Soul Sacrifice." Feng Yun said the words and a change started to happen within the book. It's purple cover began to glow and the pages released a terrifying energy. Feng Yun began to hear screams that resounded throughout the whole forest. All the other beasts were extremely afraid and took off. The screams came from the beasts sealed inside of the Manual. They obviously were living a hell inside the book. Feng Yun sometimes wondered what kind of things they experienced in that prison.
A grayish glow began to separate it self from the pages which flipped numerous times. The grey souls let out screams as they separated but calmed down once they realized that they were being let out of the prison. They let out joyous laughs and some cried. Feng Yun smiled coldly. Sorry you won't be gaining your freedom anytime soon, he thought.
Unbeknownst to the souls that were drowned in their joy, they had actually began drifting in the direction of the tear in Xia Qing's soul. They had momentarily forgotten their composure and had only begun to notice it when they felt a strong vacuum pulling them in.
The souls were silent for a moment as if pondering why this vacuum appeared. Then, one by one, they began to let out cries of alarm and despair. They weren't being freed, they were being transferred. The souls's desperate screams were helpful to no extent as they flew toward the existence known as Xia Qing's soul. The souls were swallowed by Xia Qing in one gulp and no longer emitted their cries and agony. At least a thousand souls, swallowed in one moment.

Xia Qing's complexion was looking much better as she began to unconsciously refine the souls into Yuan energy. Her soul absorbed all of them without restraint and she glowed with a holy aura. Her external injuries were being healed and her bones began to repair themselves back to what they were originally. Snaps and cracks could be heard as they were put into place. She regained her youthful appearance which had been crushed previously and now had a calm expression on her face. The blood had disappeared and what was left was a pure, untainted, girl lying down, unconscious. Although Feng Yun couldn't see into her body, he could tell from the Yuan energy vibrations that her organs were also repairing themselves.
Feng Yun felt relieved that she was getting better and a bead of sweat that was building up in his brow let itself down. He had used a lot of Yuan energy to keep her condition as stable as possible while she absorbed the souls. He needed some time to gather his Yuan energy back to what it was. Feng Yun shot a glance at the Void Universal Manual, which had previously been hovering, now on the ground. He opened it up and let out a sigh. There was no symbols on the pages and the powerful aura that it had before had now degraded. I will have to build it back up, he thought. He couldn't make any pills now as he needed more souls. Neither could he temporarily use the attributes of beasts. He was in no need for them however. Not yet at least.
"Thank you Warden. If it wasn't for you, she probably would have died. And I would have had to travel alone." Feng Yun sent a mental message to Warden.
"Ah, it was a small matter young master. No need to be so formal. But I am curious, young master. Why would you choose to save her. I know about your...previous experiences and have seen you to be a cold person who keeps very short term relationships with people no matter who. Why would you begin to do it now?" The Warden asked in a curious manner. Feng Yun chuckled and stared at the skies in thought.
"Hmm, that is a good question, Warden. Well, I guess I have learned what it means to have a true family and receive affection from this new life of mine. In my previous life, I would have never cared about relationships and would have killed without a second thought. I never even had a girlfriend much less a true parent.
I guess I wish to regain some of the humanity that I lost in my previous life and not follow the same lonely path I did then. This girl risked her life to save me. Should I not return the favor? No matter the price, I, Feng Yun is not someone who easily forgets favors. And that is on my pride as Feng Yun of this world, not as Feng Yun of the other world."
Feng Yun finished and was silent. He didn't expect a reply from Warden. What he said was the truth and his morals. He would abide by those truths for his whole life. He did not know the thoughts that went through Warden's head at this time.
'Such a remarkable person. He is just like Master. I see know why Master challenged him with such a harsh life in the other world. It was to build his character to be what it is now. I cannot believe this boy. His thinking is so profound that it surpasses many kids his age and even people who have lived for one thousand years. Is this the outcome of living two lives?'
"How long will it take for Xia Qing to absorb the souls completely?" Feng Yun asked after a moment of silence.
"Ahh, it should be about a day or two. After that, she will be at the second layer of the Xiantian realm and her power will have surpassed those even at the same level as her."
Feng Yun nodded his head. He decided that in the time until she woke up, he would cultivate and understand more about the Divine Beast Ability that was native to the Dragon lineage, Dragonification. He also wanted to meditate so that he could understand that grey aura that surrounded his body when he went enraged. He had sensed the elements of darkness, light, lighting and wind as he had the most familiarity with them but he had sensed the other elements as well. They had all fused together to form the grey aura that dominated the battlefield. It had even included the other four mystery elements. He needed to find out what they were. Then, he realized that Warden might know the answer.
"Warden, you were witnessing the battle between me and the Blood Demon Sect experts right? Do you know what that grey aura was that completely beat the crap out of them with ease?"
"Ahh, I could tell that this question was coming. To be honest, even I don't understand it very well. I have only heard of the phenomenon and I think my master has mentioned it before a few times. I'm pretty sure it's called, Creation Synthesis Stage. That Eleven Coloured Leaf that you ate; it should be a heavenly treasure that shouldn't exist on this plane." The Warden seemed slightly confused and was trying to scrunch up as much information as he could.
Feng Yun was dumbfounded. Creation Synthesis Stage? Heavenly Treasure from another plane? What the hell was it that he ate?!

The Empty Valley Cries Unheard
The stories can be read at any order. Phew, this story was finally finished at last! What could I say, it was a hell of a ride when I wrote it from the beginning to end. Thanks for having me on RR :D All the current chapter had already done a run on Grammarly, so hopefully it'd be more readable. ...kinda feeling lazy so calling off the edits for now. A couple of old / new attempts of combining Horror, Comedy and Absurdist elements. I'm not very good at writing Horror stories but I'd like to try once in a while. Although the first chapter may be completely screwed up, believe me--I mostly write fluffy gay scenes between two girls. It would PROBABLY become a lot lighter as we moved up the chapter count. Not for the faint of heart, but if you're like me who like some absurd or nonsensical stories, this might be right up your alley. Sorry in advance if some of the chapters seem normal lol additional tags : nonsense / absurd / parody

The Legend of Fanaura: Cursed
'Hey, need some help there?' An unfamiliar voice echoed through her mind, and she startled, losing her grip on the red phial. It rolled through the grass, away from her. "Oh shoot!" she yelped, and her focus diverted from her opponent for a split second, but it was enough to prove fatal. The beast took advantage of her distraction and lunged towards her. She tried to back away, but in her haste, she stumbled and fell. She looked at the beast, inches away from her, and shut her eyes in fear. She raised her arms to cover her head, even if she knew it was futile. Yet seconds passed, and no pain came. Then she heard the beast let out a pained yelp. She opened her eyes to the familiar sounds of battle before her. A tall man stood before her, locked in battle with the beast. He wielded a sword as long as his height, yet it didn't seem to hinder him in the slightest. She watched in awe as he swung the obviously heavy sword around as if it were light as a feather. His movements were swift and precise, and it didn't take long before the beast fell to the ground, motionless. “You alright there, miss?” The man sheathed his sword across his back, before turning to her. Her eyes widened when she heard his voice. It was the same voice who had that had spoken into her mind and the cause of her almost-fatal distraction. "You...!" she hissed.***She was the chosen one to end the war between the Goddesses when they were supposed to take care of the world balance. Anya Vorian wasn't picky. She'd take any apprenticeship that came her way. It was dirty. They were respected, certainly, but in the sort of way that one respects a skilled plumber - grateful to have the job done, but glad it isn't your arms elbow deep in dung.
