Anna was shocked when she read the skills that she had gotten. The corruption one made sense. She vividly felt the feeling of dying and then she watched as her body moved on its own, but she couldn't do anything, only watch, and it terrified her what her body did.

What shocked her the most though, was Vampire Physiology. She was a vampire now, and she apparently inherited it from one of her ancestors.

"What the hell! Who told you to turn me into a vampire!?"

Turning into a vampire, it did get her wondering. Does that mean that her brother, Tai, was also a vampire? Or could inherit and become one too?

Another notification appeared in front of her.

This was another shock to Anna, but not as much since she kind of expected it being a vampire.

Closing the notification, Anna decided to head back to the city. It was dark, but her eyes quickly adjusted. No, it was weird how they adjusted. She could see clearly into the night without any source of light.

"It's not that bad being a vampire, huh?"

As she walked, her eyes glistened in the darkness, like a cat's eye.

After walking for some time, she finally arrived at the city, tired.

"You're sister's still not back?"

Tai shook his head as he munched on his 6th burger. He knew it wasn't healthy, but whatever, his body could regenerate a limb so what's a bit of unhealthy food going to do to it.

"Don't worry, mom. You can't die from trials."

"Yeah, but it's just that it's been so long..."

Tai nodded and took a bite of his burger. While eating, he felt an ominous, yet familiar aura approaching the door.

The door slowly opened and Anna came through, looking very tired.

Tai smiled, but was curious about the aura that he was feeling. Not to mention with his enhanced vision and hearing, he constantly heard her stomach rumble and noticed a sharp pair of fangs in her teeth.

Her mother rushed to her and hugged her, kissing her on the cheek.

"What happened? You passed the trial, right?" Tai asked.

Anna nodded. "Yeah, but the skills I got were unusual."

Tai raised his eyebrow. "Unusual? How?"

"Well..." Anna sat down on a chair beside Tai. "I'm a vampire."

"What?! How? And why a vampire?"

Tai's mom was also shocked, not expecting this.

"The system said that one of my ancestors was a vampire, so it turned me into a vampire."

Tai's eyes went wide with this information. Does that mean that he could also be a vampire? And which ancestor was a vampire? Was it his dad? Or someone older?

"Does that mean you need blood or something?"

"Yeah, look." Anna opened her mouth, showing a pair of sharp fangs. "It said that as long as I drink blood, I can't die of old age."

"Do you also have a weakness to the sun like vampires do?"

Anna nodded. "Yeah, but it said that it only weakens me, so I can still go out, but I'll probably need a hood."

The two kept talking, Anna telling Tai everything that had happened. Anna also told Tai about the corruption that happened, and from what Tai could gather, this was different from when he combined with the darkness, and it tried taking over his mind, as that would be permanent if he had failed fighting back.

Tai could also feel no darkness coursing through Anna, meaning that she had yet to combine with the darkness. He considered telling her how, but there was always the chance that she could fail and he would forever hate himself if that ever happened.

While they were talking, Tai told Anna how a dwarf was teaching him how to blacksmith, and that he was enjoying it. Anna was amazed, saying things like how blacksmithing was hard and that it looked cool.

After talking for some time, it was already very late, so they said their goodbyes and went home.

The next day, they met up at the restaurant for breakfast, and Anna was looked horrible. It seemed like she had a hangover and had her head down on the table as her stomach rumbled.

"Anna? What's happening?" Tai asked, approaching her and sitting down beside her.

"I don't know, but I'm so hungry..." Anna lifted her head up to look at Tai, revealing her bloodshot eyes that had a hint of red which was weird since all her life, her eyes were brown. Her tanned skin that made girls jealous was also becoming pale, and her fangs were also sticking out.

Seeing all these things, and the fact that she was hungry, only meant one thing. "I think you need blood."

When Tai mentioned blood, Anna's eyes became a bright red and her vision changed. She looked at Tai and could see his blood flowing through him like an x-ray, but for blood. Anna also noticed that there were black parts in Tai's blood which was a bit unusual.

"I-I think you're right. I can see your blood like an x-ray."

"Well, I can't have you dying so here..." Tai stuck out his arm for Anna to bite and drink his blood.

Seeing Tai offer his blood so willingly, Anna wasn't thinking straight and grabbed his arm and bit it with her sharp fangs, drinking his blood.

Drinking Tai's blood was sweet, and tasted good, but maybe that was only because she was a vampire.

While she was drinking his blood, a notification popped up for Anna.
