《The Aether Universe》Chapter 23

Tai took a deep breath as he started eating the 3 plates of food that his mom had just given him. He kept the same pace as he ate the food, finishing after a few minutes.
"Ahhhh," he sighed as he took a nice, big drink of refreshing water. Tai asked for another glass of water, finishing it in seconds. "Nothing better than a nice, and good breakfast to start the day."
Standing up, he looked around and saw that his mom wasn't in sight, probably in the kitchen doing something, but there was another waiter that walked up to him with his bill. "That'll be 1000 AC."
A thousand AC wasn't a big amount, but it was still a considerable amount of money for the average person in the city, as most of the city's inhabitants worked in the city instead of taking on the missions in the Adventurer's Guild.
Working in the city meant that the system took advantage of them, paying as little as they could without the employee leaving with only the complex jobs getting the good pay, but even then they still tried to lower the amount of AC that they paid their employees.
Tai handed his card over which the waiter scanned and gave back to him once the payment went through. "Thank you very much. I hope you come back soon and have a good day."
The waiter did a quick bow at Tai.
"Yeah, no problem." Tai wanted to wait for his mom and say goodbye, but she was probably busy, so instead, he decided to just leave her a message and leave. "Hey, you know, Luna, right? Well, tell her that Tai's leaving, and thanks for the food."
The waiter nodded and went to the kitchen. That was his cue to leave as he didn't want to bother his mom anymore.

Leaving the restaurant, he went over to the guild. It was now time to go dungeon hunting and become stronger.
Arriving at the guild, Tai looked over the mission board. When he was looking at the missions, he saw a mission that was about dungeons.
Explore the First Dungeons of the World
Rank: A
Dungeons have started appearing on your planet. There is a dungeon north-east of the city, go to it and reach the 10th level.
Rewards: 1632 AC
Tai was Rank B, meaning that he couldn't accept this mission until he received his promotion, but nothing was stopping him from going north-east of the city and visiting the dungeon. He just wouldn't receive any rewards.
So, using the information that he got, he left through the north-east entrance of the city and started walking.
The scene in front of him was different. It wasn't a forest, but a barren, rocky plain. As he walked, there were monsters clad with rocky armor and even a weird armadillo looking creature, but instead of it just having a hard shell, it had short spikes on its shell to deter predators.
Using his naginata, he dealt with these creatures quite easily, but since they didn't pose a challenge, none of his skills improved.
That was the thing that most beings face once they reach a high level. They need to constantly seek tough challenges to improve their level.
The system offered a fast growth-progression, getting strong quickly, but eventually, you'll slow down and might even plateau with no improvement.
Tai wasn't uncaring. He wouldn't hurt something just because he wanted to. If he had to hurt someone or something, there had to be a reason, either to get better, defend himself, or something else, so he only killed the creatures that tried to harm him since meaningless slaughter wouldn't improve his skills.

As he killed the creatures, Tai remembered his own furry companion, Fenrir. He wondered how he was doing and actually sensed his location, meaning that he was still alive and well, hopefully doing fine for himself.
It was weird sensing something else's location, but Tai got used to it. Although he wanted to meet up with his furry friend, he really couldn't right now. Sensing Fenrir's location, it was thousands of thousands of kilometers away and he didn't even know what city he was near, so teleporting to his city wasn't possible unless he sent him a message with his communicator, but that required Fenrir to be in a city to receive the message, which wasn't likely.
After walking for a good couple of minutes, Tai could see a gigantic tower. This thing towered over everything on Earth and was most likely even taller than Mt. Everest which was the tallest mountain on Earth.
Tai didn't know what the tower was, but he was pretty sure that it was the dungeon. The tower was built with gray bricks, and looked very thin from the outside.
So thin that it looked like it was about the width of an average-sized house. Seeing its small width compared to its gigantic height, Tai was slightly skeptical as he thought a dungeon would look a bit wider.
Arriving at the base of the tower, he walked around it and saw that there were 4 gigantic doors on its side, all spaced evenly apart.
"Well, here goes nothing." Putting his hand on the door to open it, the door opened automatically by itself and revealed a vast green landscape inside the tower.
Seeing the vast green plain in front of him that seemed to go on forever, Tai was tripped out. It was like a certain blue police box that was bigger on the inside, but turned up to a thousand.
When he stepped foot into the tower, he received a notification notifying him that he had entered a dungeon.
You have entered a dungeon
You may leave a dungeon at any time by reaching the boundary of a level and finding one of the 4 doors in each level

Heroes of Midlaris
Heroes of Midlaris is on hiatus until I finish writing Arc 2, and will resume once Arc 2 has been completely written. There is no ETA for this. There, he was found and raised by seven elders, who each taught him their craft as he grew up. When he turned sixteen, he began to attend university in the nearby kingdom, beginning a tale of love and friendship, of creativity and growth, and of an ancient past that begins to return. The first several chapters covers his childhood, for those coming to read about him at university. Posting Schedule: Alternating between 2 days and 3 days (so two chapters in a 5-day period). 8 178Transition and Restart, book one: Arrivals
Ulf Hammargren transits from one world to another, from Sweden to Japan and from the peak of his career to his high school body. He must rebuild his life and live with memories that never were. He must find himself again, find friends again and maybe dare to find love again. PG13 Observe that this is the first book in a series with book seven currently ongoing. The slice of life tag is there for a reason. The story is slow, and the characters unfold as the story is told. If you're looking for an action packed quick fix, then you have come to the wrong place.

8 174I Am Not A Humanity's Traitor (Isekai LitRPG)
Ren is a reincarnated person. His new world had the same name as his old one, Earth. But that was the extent of the resemblances. Ren has a skill as well, or at least he was told he did, but he had no inkling of how to use it. He was disheartened at first but his goal wasn't the path to power, all he wanted from this world was to continue the peaceful life, but the world didn't even provide him with that. A luminous pillar descended upon him and one of his classmates. Goddess Helastia, one of the most revered goddess, called them to herself, probably not a good news. However, there, he finds that a group of heroes has been summoned from his past world to confront the Devils that will be rising soon. But contrary to his assumption of being a hero himself, she referred to him as a reincarnated imposter. She labeled both of them as Humanity's Traitors and sends them into a dungeon where they were supposed to live. That is, with their masters and comrades, the Devils and their minions. The monsters in the dungeon were not likely to accept them as allies, instead, they were out to devour the delicacies that appeared in their home. Only despair awaited them. ---------------------------------------------------------- This novel is inspired from Neets's parallel world syndrome, Abnormal state skill and bunch of other jp novels, this is also my first time writing a web novel.
