The sound of Morgan’s solitary steps echoed through her home. They served as a reminder of how alone she was; how alone she felt. The lack of candles and the sunlight was similar to the way she felt; dark and oppressed.
She walked for a while and looked into each room she passed. Then, it suddenly hit her, and tears start forming in my eyes. [I don’t want to be alone. I want to be with them.] She thought as she turned and ran and ran until she reached the Hero’s Gate out of breath and found it inactive without a soul to be seen.
“I see, I was too late,” She said with a sad smile as tears streamed down.
*Pat pat pat thump!*
Morgan’s breath was taken out of her as she was struck from behind.
“Shiro!” She exclaimed after she twisted around to see who had hugged her. “What are you doing? Didn’t you-”
“I’m so glad.” She interrupted as she cried. “I want you to come too.”
“Wait, then?”
“You’re late, Goldie,” Martel said with a smile as he came out of hiding.
“What?” Morgan barely managed to get out due to her surprise.
“We were waiting for you,” Caelia replied. “Apparently he was convinced you were going to show up, so we were going to wait for a while.”
Morgan froze in embarrassment as she felt her face become hot.
“You don’t need to worry about any belongings,” Martel said with a smile. “Your clothes will look weird to my world anyway, and I’ve already prepared everything on that end. Plus, if you need anything else, I can always come back and get it.”
“Huh? Wait, you can come back?”
“Yeah.”

“How?”
“The same way we’re going.”
“The Hero Gate?”
“No, that wouldn’t work. It only reacts to someone from another world, and not any of you.”
“Then, how?”
“With this,” Martel said as he snapped his fingers and a doorway appeared out of nowhere.
“Now then, shall we go,” He said with a smile.
“Let’s go!” Shiro affirmed happily.
“I’m with you,” Cali replied with a hint of a smile.
“I’m… I’m with you.” Caelia said with a hint of embarrassment.
“Are you ready?” Martel asked Morgan as he extended his hand to her.
She took his hand and gave a small smile. “Yes.”
Then, the four of them made their way through the door.
At the same time that they disappeared, a large humanoid, who sat on a throne made of a tree, stirred. “Do not hinder his path; do not deny him leave; for it will be our loss; for he will weave the Fate of us all.”
Deep in the mountains, under the ruined small castle on Mt. Etna, through the numerous caves within, a dark laugh echoed and a black eye opened.

8 223The Casual
Notice: On hiatus. *profanity tag added just in case a bit of swearing is required, but I'll try to keep it as profanity-lite as possible* RealWorldIII came with the motto "Bringing the imagination back into the gaming" with an innovative skill combination system that promises to create unique (see: not-actually-unique) characters tailored to each player's preferences (see: we-swear-it's-not-random) Alex is a random guy with the motto "Well... whatever" with a history of being at the top of the gaming scene (see: he was a kid back then) that after twenty years of working for daily necessities finds himself facing a tough dilemma: do I go back to being a corporate slave, or do I gain money by playing a game no questions asked? (see: not really a dilemma) The only question is, can an actual "casual", even if ex-pro, survive constantly playing a game? or will he end banging his head on the wall? The story will unfold mainly in-game, with little if any real life events happening.

Interconnected tales of sacrifice and horror In a world and time distant from our own. The story is unorthodox by itself and seldomly follows the protagonist driven stories so please be warned.

One billion people from one hundred thousand universes have been dropped onto a singular planet five times larger than Earth. In the corner of their eye were three numbers: 1,000,000,000. 15. 10. Nobody could figure out what it meant until fifteen years after the initial transportation, as out of the blue, a message repeated itself in their minds for twenty-four hours. “Only ten can return. The rest will die. There is no time limit,” Following the global message, genocides ran rampant, with established friendships broken, families ripped apart, blood alliances betrayed, and leaders felled in seconds. How? [The Evgnomon] The Beholden; hidden throughout the realm were artefacts: weapons, information, tools from beings and societies of a higher plane. It was up to the humans to scour the land and take them by hook or by crook if they ever wished to go back. Whisked into this world as a mere babe, I suppose it was lucky I didn’t die in the chaos. But as I stare into the rotten, tattered pages of the accursed book laid upon the pedestal in front of me; and the unnerving gaze of our professor trained onto the back of my head silently pressuring me to become the avatar of grotesques unspeakable and undecipherable to the human mind. O, how I wish I did...
8 87Eternal Eclipse Of Destiny
" I can't change what is the order of the heavens" "I can't give you what I don't have.." ".. but that doesn't mean I won't keep trying" " I can't bring light into your world so I will walk with you through the darkness" SheJin transmigrated into a cultivation novel before he finished reading it. He knows that there is a lot of bad endings in the novel. That shouldn't be a problem as long as he stays in the sidelines he will be out of this place. However he keeps feeling inclined to help this one character.. The more he intervenes, he knows that the storyline could change but for some reason it feels like that matters less. As long as he can give them happiness, even death feels like a privilege. Irregardless of the price to be paid, he will do what it takes.
