Chapter 0115
Just as Tempest thought she was going to get away like a thief, Cardis vise like grip held her in place, “Hold on a minute Tempest. I need to ask you, how did you sneak Divine Might out of the Weapon Pavilion if he wasn’t your chosen weapon?”
“Drat. Almost got away with it.” Tempest thought to herself. She shot Ugly a look that said, “Get me out of the here.”
Ugly ignored Tempest. He and Cardis need to sort through their issues but he was willing to wait if Cardis was going to sort out Tempest. The little brats need a stern hand. Look at how unruly she is in front of weapon spirits whose power, though diminished, can still knock the kid out.
It’s best to sort the death seeking behavior out before it gets out of hand. He couldn’t change his wielder. He hopes Cardis has a better influence on Tempest than he had on Eva. He might not like the little brat but he owed her for taking him out of the Weapon Pavilion.
“Was there a restriction in place?” Tempest smiled winsomely.
Cardis and Ugly flinched.
Tempest smiled wider.
Ugly slip behind the rock and cowered.
“There are restrictions placed on the Weapon Pavilion. A mage can only take the weapon meant for them out of the Weapon Pavilion.” Cardis answer was within Tempest expectation. Humans are greedy. If Tempest thought of looting the Weapon Pavilion, then she was sure there were hundreds if not thousands of mages who thought of the same thing.
Tempest shrugged her shoulders to indicate her confusion and to wriggle out of Cardis grip.
“Tempest!”
“I didn’t do anything special. I tossed everything into my space ring and walk out.” Tempest raise her hand and showed Cardis the space ring in question.
Cardis grabbed her hand to get a closer look at the ring before giving Tempest a strange a stern look. “Get rid of the ring.”
“What? Why?” Tempest whined. This was her cheat! All the main characters in the stories she read online had a space ring that can grow amazing her for alchemy or accelerate time. They can cultivate faster in the space created by the ring. Why should she throw away this amazing cheat?

“Tempest, do you know what kind of ring this is?”
“Space ring. Duh!” Tempest rolled her eyes like an exasperate teenagers when their parents asked them the obvious questions.
“This isn’t a normal space ring. It is a soul talisman.” Cardis took a quick look at Tempest and knew what she was going to ask. He quickly launched into another lecture.
Tempest listen attentively. Cardis may be chatty and likes to blather but the information he imparts are important.
Regular talismans are like weapons. The quality and potential for an upgrade were set the moment a regular talisman was created. There might be a chance for a regular talisman to gain sentience like a weapon, but the chance of a talisman gaining sentience is much lower than a weapon.
For the most part, a talisman generally has an auxiliary or support type function. Cultivators don’t use a talisman like a weapon to directly kill their opponent. Therefore, the chance of a talisman absorbing the essences needed to open their intelligence is very low.
Space rings falls under the talisman category. For this reason, it is rare to see a space ring that has other functions aside from holding things.
The space ring Tempest is wearing is a Soul Talisman. Soul Talisman is the personal talisman of a cultivator. They can have only one in their entire lives. Even if they rip their souls in half, they can only have one Soul Talisman.
The creation of a Soul Talisman differs from cultivators to cultivators. In the beginning, a Soul Talisman is like any talisman, albeit at a slightly higher grade. The differences lies in the potential. Soul Talisman grows and changes with the cultivator. The stronger the cultivator, the stronger the Soul Talisman.
Right now, Tempest’s space ring is small and Tempest can hide in it when she’s in trouble like she did when she first arrived in this world. As the owner of the Soul Talisman raises his or her cultivation, the space ring will also gain other functions, depending on the attributes of the cultivators.
Mages rarely, if ever, have a Soul Talisman. The materials required to forge a Soul Talisman suitable for a mage is very easy to find, if one is brave enough to venture into the Chaotic Void.

Even a mage of Cardis caliber would have a hard time functioning in the Chaotic Void, much less those weaker mages. The airspace above the headquarters of the Eternal Spirit Guild contains chaotic energy. Cardis can not fly directly into the headquarters of the Eternal Spirit Guild. He had to walk.
One can see how dangerous it is in the Chaotic Void.
Only a mage who has a strong grasp of chaotic energy can traverse the Chaotic Void. Tempest has the strongest potential to wander in the Chaotic Void once she comes into her power.
Currently, she’s only a midget mage with some control over her power and no knowledge on how to use it.
Cardis wasn’t concern about the Soul Talisman itself when saw the ring. It is the intention of the owner of the space ring that bothers Cardis.
Soul Talisman is bound to the cultivator via the soul. A cultivator will always know the location of their Soul Talisman.
If the owner had good intentions towards Tempest, then Cardis wouldn’t mind so much, but according to his little Successor, she has no memory of her past. She doesn’t know who the original owner of the Soul Talisman is, much less his or her intentions towards Tempest.
Furthermore, the intention of the owner Soul Talisman might be favorable to Tempest now, but people change. One day they are close friends, the next day, they are enemies.
Cardis would rather Tempest get rid of the ticking time bomb.
Tempest looked longingly at the space ring, but with great reluctant, she chose to take it off.
Tempest knew the origin of the ring but she never told Cardis.
The space ring is Asalia’s wedding ring. Tempest is sure the owner of the ring is Asalia’s stupid fiancee, Dugu Shi Xiao.
If Tempest gain Asalia’s memories or if had any intention of resolving the lingering desire of the original body, she would have kept the ring and wait for Dugu Shi Xiao to come find her. Tempest never received Asalia’s memories. She had already decided to start anew in the Cardinal Realm as Tempest Arashi Kataigida. She even gave up her name, Athena.
Tempest is one with the notion, if one wants to start over with a new slate, one must sever the bonds of the past completely. Therefore, she chose to remove the ring.
Hypocrite. You don’t care about Asalia, but anything that has to do with Athena, you pay the utmost attention to. You are trying to find a powerful backer and earning money to buy out your sister’s contract. Ventus called Tempest out.
“Yeah, I’m a hypocrite. Who cares?”
We care. In order to make it far into the cultivation world, you have to have a firm heart. You can’t be lying to yourself like this.
“I can do whatever I want since I’m the one bearing all the consequences. Besides, I’m not really lying to myself.”
Beware. It might come back to bite you one day.
“When that day comes, I’ll be stronger and can kick butt.”
Ventus can only sigh at Tempest strange personality quirks. They are the indirect cause of it.
“Cardis, how do I remove the ring?”
“You can’t. I’ll remove the bond for you.” Cardis quickly did just that. He grabbed Tempest’s hand and sent his mana into the space ring, erasing the ties it has to Tempest.
The space ring is a Soul Talisman. It might not have sentience, but it has an almost human like temperament.
When Tempest reject the ring and Cardis erase the bond it had with Tempest, it acted like any spurn woman would. It spit out all the stuff Tempest place into the ring.
A small pile comprise mostly of her recently ill gotten gains lay at her feet.
“Tempest!”

The Supreme Cultivator
This story is a parody for xianxias, and some litRPG, where our protagonist, Bòhé chá, faces no problems at all in his life controlled by the evil author... Is the author actually evil? (This is not a rhetorical question, I'm actually curious.) PS : this is only written as a method of wasting time, so don't expect me to upload regularly. Edit : removed the LitRPG and replaced it with Satire since that is more accurate.
