《Master of Learning (Color coded)》Chapter 33 Enchanting breakthrough
Advertisement
It's been a few more weeks. I've been steadily making the enchanting paper. Reading about enchanting. Going through my normal training and increasing my chi steadily. All the gnolls have a set of silk clothing. A set of leather armor and the beast riders are outfitted in some iron pieces. Even their mounts are armored. The dire wolves they ride have face protection and a metal claw on one of their front legs.
I think dire wolf is the end of the growth path for most wolves, Sock might be different since he's a rare variant. Almost twenty percent bigger than normal dire wolves. He has been leading some of the beast rider squads on missions. Most of the gnolls know Pokodo now. She roams around the fortress. Healing any injuries that occur through everyday activities. None of the gnolls have evolved. I doubt they will anytime soon.
I went to school like normal, then headed to the enchanter's house. Someone should tell him to hang a sign or something. I head inside and yell.
“Hello? I'm back!”
I hear a loud crash as if someone just fell down...What is he doing every time I come in? I heal his broken ass again and ask a few questions.
“Well, normally how long does it take to learn an enchant.”
“It normally takes many attempts to learn it. Also you only learn one enchant from each tree and it's picked at random. To learn more you'd have to make an enchant from that enchanting line and destroy the piece. In order to learn the ring enchant and the armor enchant in the void storage tree. It took me several attempts. Everything after the first one the chances is cut in half.”
So that would explain the price of some of these pieces of gear. It goes without saying that the more enchants you know the more money you'd be able to make. I ask.

“Can I try something?”
I try teaching him enchant tent greater void storage. It's been an hour. He's been doing other things while I talk to him trying to explain how to make it. He's ready to give up when he stops focusing mana into paper. Startled and confused he shouts.
“What!?”
When he said that I already knew what it meant. The next few hours I teach him the rest of the void enchants. He's so filled with joy he's almost crying. We talk while I try and teach him.
“Do you know how long it would take me to learn these enchants without help?”
I honestly have no idea because I learned all of mine instantly.
“Just to learn the second enchant in this enchanting tree it took three years of making enchants and destroying the gear myself. How did you even learn this? You didn't even know how to learn them before we spoke weeks ago!”
“I deconstructed that scroll I bought from you.”
His eyes keep getting bigger and bigger with more surprise.
“Wait a second. You know deconstructing, enchanting and tutoring. You also asked about synthesizing the enchanting scrolls.”
“Yea I have more than 3 jobs. I think altogether I have over twenty jobs.”
“You're joking right? That's not funny youngster. You'll scare this old mans heart making things up.”
Well the main question is how can I get him to teach me all his enchanting trees.
“Can I get a scroll for each of the enchanting trees you know?”
He looks at me. Eyes focusing harder than normal. Trying to pick up even the slightest detail signaling that I was lying.
“Are you serious about knowing more than twenty jobs?”
I nod, he looks scared and surprised.

“Well, I wont ask for all the details but I need payment from you. You need to teach me all the things you learn from these scrolls. If... If anyone finds out about your skill you might get kidnapped. Skilled enchanters are sought after for their war potential...Make sure you don't tell many people about your abilities.”
His hands were visibly shaking when he was making the scrolls. I think he was afraid of me leaving after I learned everything. Losing this opportunity to learn so much all at once. Also how dangerous just being around me would be.
I wait patiently for him to make them. It takes him around three hours. I look around his store in the meantime waiting. I view all of his rares. They are all good effects on each piece of gear. A lot of the gear doesn't have stats on it so it's only a rare in name, not a full rare.
Still most gear can be enchanted this way. You wouldn't really have the gold it takes to fully enchant your gear to the full rare quality. The effects far outweigh the stats you can add. Having multiple rares split between single enchanted pieces of gear you could have three or four layers of enchants.
I haven't seen a single person do that yet though. Besides the people I've made gear for. Maybe it's just no one has ever thought to do that. Doing it that way you might be able to wear like ten or fifteen layers of enchanted armor... You'd look like a ball though and probably wouldn't be able to move.

I haven't learned all the enchanting trees yet. I thank this enchanter. With his help I can make far more enchants. As well as better enchants. I understand enchanting more because of him so I feel indebted. I'll definately help him learn the enchants for himself.

Unwitting Champion
"In stories this is always easy. There's magic and powers, and quick steps to claiming that power for one's self. This doesn't feel true for me. I'm supposed to be a Champion, whatever that means, and yet I don't feel important. I don't have all the bells and whistles, which honestly feels familiar even in a new world. But what was I expecting? I haven't had the worst life - there are people with worse problems than mine - I've known what it is to struggle, to be pulled down instead of being helped up.This is nothing new."When in great peril, the Kingdom of Althor has no choice but to send a call into the void, beseeching the Fates to bring them a man who would save them from the coming darkness. Unfortunately the path the Fates chart is often unknowable to men and the Champion who appears is not what the kingdom expected.Unwitting Champion is a story of a guy displaced, dealing first and foremost with trying to survive in a world where he is no longer a person but a tool, and - at least from the reaction of those around him - a shoddy one at that. His major goal is to survive long enough that either he can run or find a way home, because as exciting as the possibility of learning magic might be, he would rather have a boring life than a short life.

Theory of Rifts (LitRPG)
You can join my Discord here. Keynes Kid is gifted with a photographic memory and being several months away from receiving Level 1, and a Talent, he finds himself in the center of attention of people who want to shape his Talent. If they can get him an intelligence related Talent, they will hit a jackpot. The Talent Unlocking ceremony finally comes and Keynes Kid receives… Error… Anomaly (What?) His new talent is… useless. Why then does the World Government want Keynes so badly they will silence anyone who knows about his Talent? At the same time... Somewhere in the Universe, ancient beings stir from their slumber, awoken by the system alert and the wall of glaring red warnings. Their greatest fear just manifested and they are hell-bent on erasing it from existence. -------- It is a slow-development story, so you won't find the MC with super powers at the beginning. -------- It is a coming of age story and focuses on a Talent system (in the beginning) with several additions that bring to the table upgrading of a planet’s tier and such (a bit later). There will be quite an amount of rebuilding society as new, unknown resources enter the economy, and a lot of travelling, delving and naturally, unlocking the secrets of the Universe. As for the setting, the story starts in XXI century, which technology-wise isn't much different from what we have now, but it is enhanced by magic associated with Talents. This allowed the humankind to colonize the solar system, but the technology that allows for interstellar travel doesn't exist (yet). Because it’s my first attempt at LitRPG, please be forgiving but constructive. I hope you will enjoy the story! --- Cover by Daniel Gembus https://www.artstation.com/daniel_gembus instagram.com/danielgembus

I Have Even Read the Rulebook!
As all stories begin, Prof died. Yes, truck-kun had something to do with that, but also a bird, a cat and some rebar. When he was presented with with the opportunity in the Afterlife Administration Bureau to be transmigrated into a game-like fantasy world, he did something, no one ever did: he read the Rulebook. Follow Prof on his road to be rich without working, touring a whole new world without a care and witness his realisation, that despite having read the Rulebook the folks living with the System for untold millennia know more about the rules. Important notes: 1, I'm not a native speaker, so be prepared for occassional typos, iffy grammar and maybe awkward sentences. The spell check was running, when I wrote the chapters, but it works in strange ways... If you point out mistakes, I will try to correct them 2, Scheduling will be two chapters a week, posted Saturdays before noon (CET). Depending on how much new chapters I can write consistently there will be probably more but as long as I have leftover chapters, the two per week will be posted no matter what. Chapters will be around 1500-2500 words as MS Word counts it. 3, I did not and will not post this novel on another site, if you find it somewhere else, please inform me 4, The Main Character's progression is slow, there will be no Levels, Skills, Abilities, Feats, Perks and Cheat Powers raining down on him 5, I've put Comedy as a genre because of my writing style not because the novel is a comedy per se. On the other hand, Traumatising Content is there because there is a lot of speciesism - those Elves are not nice people. 6, I put a lot of pop-cultural references into the chapters, try to find them! Enjoy!
