《journal teleport science something》just remembered everything is awful but i had like seven seconds of peace before that so i'm counting it as a win

turns out making big teleport anchors is way different than making small ones
microteleports are so fiddly and macroteleports are so
well
big teleports come with their own problems
the main issue is control. like you don't want a teleport to go wild. teleports gone wild on spring break. watch these gorgeous teleports as they exponentially convert matter into energy until everything is pure photonic motion. feast your eyes on a valentine scenario. forever. because you've become unstuck in time.
there's really so much that can go horribly wrong with teleports
but i still love them
mass teleportation is kind of uncharted waters though. i mean teleportation generally. is. not exactly mainstream. thirty years away from practical use they say. and i mean yeah definitely i agree. i am really happy nobody else is messing around with this junk. can't trust humans with this kind of wacky nonsense.
but for me teleports are friendly. because i understand them. they just want things to be exactly perfect and then to be left alone to do their thing. you can't force a teleport to be what you want it to be. you just have to. watch them carefully. figure out their needs. then give them what they need. and then again the next moment. the next. the next. teleports are so fickle. so unpredictable but then they become predictable because of their unpredictability. you can always trust a teleport to be difficult and fiddly and demanding and weird in a very mappable way. but they're all so different. every teleport special and unique with its own quirks and flaws and everything.
i will flirt with whatever if it works
but teleports are my forever girl
anyway it looks like there's no possible way to open a stable portal big enough to encompass an entire base. not without. well no it's just not practical. also three dimensional teleports generally are just. just. so many more problems. looking at stuff now i have no idea how my prototype emergency personal teleport thing worked. i mean it should have just killed me. explosively. at best. but it worked. i have no idea how. i'm not going to use it again. because. i mean wow that thing just should not have worked.

there is this funny radiation quantum link thing that might do something but the problem with that is the exit point would be. set. i don't know where the exit point is. and this is just based on like. feelings. not facts. so ignore all of this. ignore everything. i don't know what i'm doing. teleports are impossible. everything's impossible. i don't know. idontknowidontknow
been a little bit stressed just lately
thought teleports would be the answer
but
well
maybe not the whole base but what if i set up a teleportal so anyone going out of the base falls in and gets teleported. somewhere. or just back inside the base? no but then they'd be trapped without food i'd just be creating some sort of weird horror movie scenario. i would be the villain. i don't want to be the villain. i don't want to be anything. i do not want a part in those mammals survival story. why did they drag me into things.
deep breath jin. don't play the why game. it is not a useful activity. the only winning move is not to play.
so what would be useful right now
numbers maybe
okay
so i should go take a look at human base. get measurements. nice solid numbers. it's dark now. so. probably a good time. have a look around for maybe a replacement scooter while i'm out there. no vehicles left in this part of town. not with scrapscavenger drones around. but across the river. maybe.
solid plan
scout for scooter
get numbers
then
think
