《Second Chance》A Trial(2)rewrite

"Who's there?" her voice quivered as her head whipped in my direction. Fearing that she would hurt me; I stayed silent. her footsteps rustled as they roughly trudged through the long blades of grass. I scanned my surroundings and saw a stick by my feet .carefully picking the stick up, I lowered my body into a pouncing stance.
A deep notch was left just above my hair. A brown and rusty sword was lodged into it. terrified, I fell to the hard ground and sat there dazed, my breath drowning me as I breathed heavily.
"GODDAMNIT!, Why is it always getting stuck in trees "her brown hair whipped my face as she turned around the tree and yanked the sword out. She fell directly opposite me.
"AHHHH!" we both screamed as we were both startled. I was surprised to see another person.
"w-who are you?!"She tried to grab her sword but it was thrown quite a distance when she fell. After she realised she put her arms up.
"If you're not going to answer I'll knock it out of you!!"She proceeded to stand up and so did I. She was quite small and she was wearing a hoodie with a tracksuit bottom.
"Why don't you first tell me who you are!"I responded whilst creating some distance from her. She slowly backed into her sword at the same time making eye contact with me.
"No, I asked first and anyways what the hell were you doing hiding behind a tree"Her face turned red as she spat out word after word rapidly. She then began to take in several deep breaths.
"Anyone would be scared when someone is carrying a weapon and swinging it around dangerously, My name is jasos. ok! now tell me who are you and what was that thing u killed"I stared straight into her eyes and stopped moving.

"took you long enough. My name is Silva and that 'thing' was a goblin. How come you don't know about this? Didn't you also get an overview of what you're supposed to do"She directed a look of weariness and confusion to me? Her grip on the weapon which she had just picked up slightly weakened.
"I.. was but something happened and I don't remember what I was supposed to do. Also, how did you get a weapon? and how did you know I was behind the tree?"I looked enthusiastically, if I could get my hands on something to protect myself then I wouldn't have to be so pacifistic about everything.
"That's fine. all you have to do is open your status window by saying 'status window' and choose a class. From there you get a weapon and a skill. One of my skills lets me have a better perception of my surroundings. I'm honestly shocked you forget these important things"
"Thank you" I mumbled to her.
"OPEN STATUS WINDOW"
A surreal event took place right in front of my eyes. many strands of blue light materialised and gathered together to foram a slightly transparent blue window.

*CHOOSE CLASS*
The words shuffled and morphed into 4 figures, 3 of them were grey whilst one of them was green:[The Warrior] was swinging his longsword down, creating strong currents of wind. [The mage] was making symbols with his hand who then made the air explode. [The archer] was pulling his bowstring, releasing a single arrow to several arrows, some of which looked and impacted differently like the frost arrow. Lastly, [martial master] was posing in different stances and unleashing multiple punches at very small intervals. Warrior caught my interest as it was the only one in a different colour.

[The Warrior]
the pinnacle of the human body and mind.
+10 strength
+7 intelligence
+5 stamina
Skills:
Downward slash{uncommon}: The user deals a downward slash which lowers defence by 10% and deals x1.5 damage(strength).[Active:2 minute Cooldown]
Unwavering will{common}: Warriors do not feel fear, Instead, they make others fear them. Intelligence is X1.5 the normal amount[Passive]
Aptitude:[67.8%]
This was the only class with uncommon skill and an aptitude of above 50%. I knew that warrior was the right class for me. The rest seemed nice but skill-wise they couldn't compare to downward slash which had a lower cooldown and dealt more damage. I chose warrior.

Sorcery in Boston
The timid daughter of some of the greatest spellcasters ever to have lived has found herself in another world, courtesy of magic gone awry. In Boston, Massachusetts, in the year 1935, she finds some kind souls in a hard era. In the heart of the Great Depression, as war looms around the corner, she seeks to find her place, and must come to terms with both who she is and what she truly desires. Author's Notes: Release Note: I recently realized what the hold up is. My current mental state is not compatible with the planned ending. If I wrote the ending according to what currently feels right, it will be a wretched, cruel ending that feels monstrously unfair and invalidates the work of the various characters... because that's how my life feels at the moment. The planned ending is coming out hollow and awkward, no matter how I write it, and so I've been bashing my head. I will finish it, once I manage to either brute force something decent out, or once my head gets screwed on straight. Audience: This story is not for young children - it contains some profanity, sexual content, violence, gore, and significant adult themes. Most of these are handled delicately enough not to upset teens or adults (hopefully), hence the lack of relevant tags, but it is nonetheless unsuitable for youth. It's fairly slow paced, and focused on the development of very human, very flawed individuals. Length / Completion Estimates: The outline currently involves two books. Book 1 is expected to be done with Chapter 43. It'll probably be completely finished by sometime in March of this year. I expect to move on to the far-more-lighthearted Of Gods and Dungeons (currently in progress / on hiatus). Afterwards, I may decide to redo Book 1, or write Book 2, or actually start sharing the story most dear to me, that I've been working on for several years now. Draft 1: Please be aware that this is first draft material. I do intend to come back to do a second draft after the story is complete. If anyone notices any issues whatsoever with the story, please let me know (pm, etc) so that I can improve the second draft. Writer's Pledge: I've taken the Writer's Pledge, meaning I'm commiting to completing this story. I'm a proud member of WriTE, a group dedicated to finishing stories. It will be done! Behind the Scenes notes: This picture was commissioned from an inked artist by the name of DanP. Up until the time of the protagonist's arrival, history has proceeded as before. Some places and characters have been borrowed from wikipedia entries of interesting figures from the time. I will make note in the chapter comments when such things come up. Naturally, I've taken a great deal of liberty with them. In interest of respecting individuals, I've either attempted to portray them as accurately as possible, or modified them sufficiently enough that they're simply an inspiration, instead of a real portrayal. I've attempted to be as accurate to the era as possible, but I'm not a historian. If you're aware of inaccuracies, please, bring them to my attention so that I can correct them.

Tera: Still Untitled
A story told from the point of view of an NPC that became sentient. With the help of a friendly player or two, they set about recovering her memories and finding out the cause of her awakening. Set in the MMORPG TERA(The Exiled Realm of Arborea). I got bored on the long commute to and from work(about 1.5 hours each way) and decided to flesh out some of the ideas I've had about my character in game. I write about a chapter a day on weekdays, maybe on weekends too depending on the stuff I have to do irl.
