《Bathilda the Bat》The Clone

'Hmph,' frustrated after a few attempts, Bathilda gives up trying to speak. Instead she flys down the pit to the only safe location she knows of in the current area.
Attempting to join his partner but failing miserably, Bathilda watches from her perch as Hiro flails past. Without enough time to practice he only manages to slow his descent moderately and he crashes hard into the ground.
'Haha, you should have practiced before jumping down here, Hiro,' she giggles down after him.
When she doesn't receive a reply, Bathilda drops from her seat and glides gracefully down to her partner.
'Hey. You OK?' she asks.
"... I'm fine,' he eventually grumbles whilst clutching his wing close.
'You don't look OK. Are you sure?' She asks again, trying to get a better look.
"What's that?" he asks, looking in the direction of one of the two tunnels at the bottom of the pit.
'Don't try and change the subject, Hiro,' Bathilda says, still trying to ascertain whether her leech is as good as he claims to be. She's made the fall herself and knows how bad it is.
"Bart's!" Hiro shouts out.
Two Barts dash out from the tunnel that Hiro was staring at with a scary speed.
'Come on,' Bathilda shouts, taking off into the air. She launches a Wing Blade in the process, decapitating the closest enemy, yet Hiro has yet to make an attempt at flying.
Watching its comrade being split into two, the other cries out loudly alerting the others to the presence of the two intruders. Inside the dark tunnel, the Bart's hear the call and charge relentlessly to the location of the one crying for help. It informs them that the Bat who killed their brethren with her rocks is one of them. Each one wanting the killing blow for themself, they fight each other as they stampede closer.

At this occurrence, Hiro begins to feel the ground shake and Bathilda hears the pattering of feet as she removes the legs of the screeching Bart with another blade of air.
'Fly now, Hiro!' she orders.
"I'm trying! It's not easy," he calls out, fear coating each word as he flaps his wings the best he can. The rumbling has grown to tremors as hundreds of Bart's flood down the tunnel toward them.
"I lied, my wing hurts like hell and it's hard to move. Just go without me. Hopefully, I should return to you if this body dies, right?"
'I don't know! How would I know that? I didn't even know you were going to hijack my clone in the first place! Nevermind, use your good arm to kill that Bart with Wing Slash. It might take you more than one so I'm going to send a few of my own down there. Hurry up!" with that, Bathilda speeds to the shaking tunnel, leaving Hiro alone to finish off an opponent that is already bleeding to death.
With little time to act, but everything to strive for, Bathilda lands in front of the not so large tunnel. At almost twice the span of Bathilda herself, at full stretch, the tunnel gives her a clear shot at the approaching threat. As she releases blade after blade, cutting down more Barts than was necessary to reach her goal, her MP has almost ran out and yet the stampede shows no signs of stopping. More and more Bart's charge through the remains of their fallen comrades, in their hate filled rage, continuing on to the prize herself.
Turning around to get the hell out of there, Bathilda sees Hiro flapping about in the air after his recovery from levelling up getting nowhere. Unfortunately, just because his wings work now, it doesn't mean he's gained a sudden insight in how to use them. No crash course for dummies here. You need to practice to learn and to practice you need time. Something they're sorely missing at this critical moment.

With no other options that she can see, Bathilda grabs the smaller version of herself with her claw-like feet as she approaches and digs in hard.
"Ow, what the hell, Bathilda!?" Hiro begins and starts wiggling before immediately shutting up.
At the same time as this, the Bart's break out of their tunnel screeching in unison causing a deafening sound to echo throughout the pit. Each one is froffing at the mouth ready to devour their anticipated meal. Not only once now has she harmed their kin but twice, her death is a conglomerated ideal spread throughout the pack.
"Fly. Fly. Fly. Fly. Fly." No longer concerned about the grip being used to pull him through the air, Hiro screeches out himself in a terrified panic as Bathilda pushes up with all her might.
Fortunately, little Hiro isn't too big and they fly safely back up to the small entrance of Bathilda's temporary home. Releasing Hiro she lands in front of him and turns sideways to squeeze through what now seems like a much smaller gap than when she left. Extending her wings, to suck her gut in a little more, Bathilda accidentally knocks the little leech off the edge and down to his awaiting demise.
"Bathilda!" he screams, trying to right himself but it's already too late. He begins to glide but gets snatched down by the disgusting teeth of the vermin below him. Unable to make any swift movements as she's caught in her entrance, Bathilda can only listen in terror as her life partner the leech is brutally mauled to death only a few 100 feet below.
She scrunches her eyes closed and pushes through into open space where she collapses to the ground.
'Oh, Hiro. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to knock you off. It was an accident. Hiro? Hiro!?' with no response, Bathilda's heart sinks at the loss of her companion.
"Did he actually die? Shit! I don't want to be alone here. I'm sick of this shitty cave and these shitty rat's. There was a novelty before but I don't want to be here now...not now that... Hiro has," breaking down, inside and out, Bathilda begins to cry letting it all out.
"Heee... Roooo...."she wails.
Argh! What the hell was that!? Argh! Still trembling at being ripped apart, the familiar voice inside her head makes its presence known.
'Hiro! You're alive!"

Cheaters Always Win
Chester Everheart knew that life wasn't fair. Some were born in situations where it was almost impossible to succeed, whereas others were born with a silver spoon with everything at their disposal. A scant few were dropped into another world, filled with monsters and magic and forced to fend for themselves. The latter was a rare, somewhat ridiculous trope; but it happened to him anyway. Despite this he followed a motto that applied regardless of the dimension he was in. Playing fair is for suckers, and cheaters always win. Cheaters Always Win is a comedy-adventure that I've had churning in my head for a couple years now. I'd like to think it still has the charm that most LitRPGs have while also being unique in its own way. Every arc of the story will subsequently have a 'Level Complete' chapter that details all the stats, levels, equipment, etc. gained by the main cast of characters.
