《A Titan's Crusade》Not A Chapter, Important. NOT DROPPED.

Ok, so, first, sorry from my major absence from the site. My life for the past few months has been and still is rather hectic, so I've had practically no time to write. That being said, I AM still writing this story, or attempting to, and am currently somewhere in the midst of writing Chapter 13. Since I also tend to go back and edit as much as three or four chapter before that for consistency, I have decided that I needed to get significantly closer to finishing the first book before continuing to post on RoyalRoad. In hindsight, posting chapters of the story here before I got to half-way finished with it was an entirely unreasonable expectation for myself, considering my slow writing process. I don't know how some authors manage to crank out 5000+ words in a day, I can usually barely manage 2000 ( though, admittedly, I do a lot of re-writing to get that far).
That being said, if the story thus far interests you, please feel free to leave a follow. I will try to resume posting chapters but it might be a while. In fact, I've thought about waiting until the book was about 3/4 finished and just posting a chapter a week, which would give me plenty of time to finish it. We'll see.
I'm sorry for leaving all the people that liked the story thus far hanging, but work kind of has me over a barrel at the moment. For anyone interested, I'm a Registered Pharmacy Technician with the state of Florida, and I currently work for Walgreens' CPO, which is basically data-entry for scripts. I got the job in the first place because I spent four years working two jobs in customer service and hated it, and this meant not interacting with customers (plus better pay), only now they're converting my position over to PCC so we all have to be cross-trained. PCC is who you get transferred to when you call Walgreens pharmacy about refills and other things. They answer phones...and talk to people. Which I am enormously bad at. SO....currently looking for a new job. The past few months my focus has been trying to get my national certification and become a CPhT so I can get employed in a hospital, but I've been procrastinating (I'm pretty terrible about it too) so I haven't even started studying for it yet. Now though, with their mandatory initiative for PCC cross-training, I'm going to have to get my ass in gear and get it done, so the likelihood of me having writing time before mid-march just went into the shitter. Again, sorry, I know this probably feels like whining to some readers, but unfortunately writing is not something I can live off of at the moment and I have student loans and bills to pay so -_-

Thank you for your patience, and I dearly hope I'll be able to return to writing this amazing story soon. I still have a lot of cool new things to show you guys, and a metric fuck-ton of meta-game lore to introduce into the story and no idea how I'm going to cram all of the insanity of my imaginings into a word processor coherently.

8 174Coalescence of Two Lifetimes
Cilen was you typical, run-of-the-mill kinda guy. Well, until his parents passed away when he was 17 forcing him to learn to grow up. Fast. He figured it wouldn't be that bad. He had a house, he had an inheritance, he had friends that kept him company. And at first, it really wasn't anything But sometimes, the loneliness just gets to you. Sometimes, the expectation to not disappoint just gets to you. Sometimes, life just gets to you. And it brought Cilen to his knees, lamenting, cursing, questioning, "why?" "Why did his parents pass away as they did, forcing him to fend for his own?" "Why wasn't he born in a rich household, with a silver spoon in his mouth that catered to his every need?" "Why was every step forwards so difficult, in this accursed society?" He wished that everything would be easy, like inside the worlds of the wuxia novels that he had grown up reading. Special constitution, lucky breaks, fast powerup, get all the chicks and defeat the big evil guy. Simple, easy, satisfying. But life ain't cut out to be that way. The main actors were already set, and there was no changing them. Unless, you moved to a different stage... But this ain't one of your friendly neighborhood transmigrations. It rewards those that are patient, creative and willing to adapt. But perhaps Cilen is able to make use of this opportunity and become something more. _______________________________________________________________________________________________ This story is a personal love letter to all the pieces of fiction that I have read. Its a culmination of the things that made me laugh, cry and smile when I first read them and It has been a personal wish to craft a story that makes me feel the way I did when reading those stories for the first time. Its gonna be a slow ride but worth it. Promise. Photo by Johannes Plenio on Unsplash
