PROLOGUE
Offline, I was a contractor. Employee number 00019348. That was how Greedy Robots Inc. identified me as. But in-game, I went by the alias Cruel.
My job online was rather simple…to amass an ‘x’ amount of virtual gold as per contract… remit… then repeat. Plain elementary.
It was the job that I've always wanted. I get to play subscription free, and then earn my keep at the same time.
The playground where I'll be playing this time around was Helion Online. A VRMMORPG that doesnt give a flying fuck about mmo traditions. The only game of its kind that had the balls to fuck itself. Players included. In fact, today marked Helion's first day of its third incarnation after it was first destroyed by Eternia’s Rain on its debut, and was later on decimated by the Silver Cataclysm on its second.
On a business stand point, it might have been a total dick move to purge an entire game for failing to complete a world level quest... but guess what? Helion made 'dick move' work. In fact, it was that sole feature that drew gamers from all over the globe, eventually cementing the game to its current status as the world’s greatest VRMMORPG yet, two years in a row.
Players didn't need the same formula of generic hack and slash. They were all tired of it. They wanted something fresh. They wanted a game with a purpose. A game that could fuck and challenge them for real. Not just some safe mediocre game with shallow story line. They wanted a VRMMO where they could put their entire virtual lives at stake. Somewhere with grave consequences when mistakes were made. Something that would hold them accountable for every action they made inside the virtual realm.
Thankfully, folks at the Rainbow Abyss Studios listened. The developers of Helion Online gave all the players just 'that'. All twelve inches of it and even more.

Of course, being rudely fucked twice came with a very valuable lesson. It was all about hating double penetration and saying no to a three-way in advance. Players this time around were hungry for a victory. They wanted to beat the game so bad that they were willing to do just about anything to secure it. In other words, to successfully cock block the third Extinction Level Event or ELE when it comes slammin against Helions door.
Gold is god. And one of the many tactics that the Whales (corporate sponsored players) planned on employing this year was to procure an unbelievable amount of in-game currency in the earliest and shortest time possible. It was the oldest tactic in the book but also the most effective. They plan on buying every gold there was with real world money to secure the win. And of course, whenever there was a demand, capitalism was there too. That’s where we gold farmers come in.

Welcome...
This… is Helion Online. I am Cruel. And I work here.

Vast Asleep
The story of Kingard the Binder in the aftermath of Broken This short story is the epilogue of Broken, the second book of the Chronicles of Mother's Gate series. It’s a great follow-up to the novel, a bonus story that adds extra layers but is set apart from the full-length narrative. Vast Asleep follows the story of Kingard, who finds himself caught in a world called Mother's realm, bathed in glowing light but strangely stuck in place. He encounters his greatson Varyan there, and learns that his experiences are likely dreams. As he grows more accustomed to the loving realm around him, Kingard remembers fear and trepidation about the face of the world, and he loses contact with his companion. This story answers the question, Is Kingard really dead? with a tentative no, and new mysteries brewing. It also raises the question, What's happening while he's awake? and includes an excerpt from the sister story Ride Awake, about Kingard's situation with the Colkh'rak. Praise for Tales of the Known World Bookends: Loved it. The difference between the two stories is great! The difference between the epilogue and prologue is astounding. So much light and love in the first story. You feel safe reading it. Healing. The second, so much darkness, pain and despair. The choice of vocabulary is awesome and makes an impact. And this set of short stories ties the two books together so well. -- Dana V. of Texas ★★★★★

Goddesses are out of Heroes, so it's up to Me to Save an Isekai World! [Poll Story]
Even outside of Japan no one is safe from being reincarnated to become a hero in a fantasy world. And while our hero was ready to become the typical hero he was meant to be, things start out not even close to how he would have hoped. The story will be guided by the choices readers vote on. P.S. Writing this story as a challenge, Expanding on the idea I read on the forum by DivineEternal1. P.P.S. The art of the cover is not made by me, don't know who the artist is.

The Struggles of Dating a Demon [Completed]
Mabel's boss dabbled in awfully questionable business for the owner of an herb store, and she never blinked when he had suspicious-looking visitors. On one particular Sunday, though, Mabel couldn't help but watch the man leaving Herman's office with a critical eye. It wasn't his impressive height, dark eyes, or shaggy hair that kept her curiosity piqued.Instead, it was the way the shadows seemed to collect around him, dancing under his feet as he walked and vanishing abruptly as soon as the door shut behind him. *****"Do not call me 'Death,' Little One." He reached a hand down to help her up, but Mabel swatted it away, standing on her own and scowling. "Don't call me 'Little One,' Death." She fired back, crossing her arms and straightening her back to look taller. "And, besides, you're the one who told me your name was Death, so what else am I supposed to call you?" The raspy growl that rolled from his throat didn't sound anything like a chuckle, but the slight smile on his face told her otherwise. "Aleron." ******He brings death to those deemed wicked, but sees her as an angel and vows that nothing will harm her under his watch.Highest Ranks: #1 in Littleone 8/7/2019#1 in Mystical 8/25/20; 9/2/20; 9/11/20; 6/13/21#1 in Mythical 9/25/20#1 in Devil 5/16/21#1 in Heaven 5/20/21#4 in Paranormal 8/25/20#1 in demon 8/7/22

Tryphant Agent's Historical Logs
[Disclaimer: This novel is no longer in continuation since I've found more joy in writing short stories. I'll continue writing about this universe and the world in it, building upon the documents of the Tryphant Agents but in another novel] What is the origin of life? What is the meaning to life? Are we the only intelligent being in this universe? Why haven't we been struct by a catastrophe??? How has the world been so peaceful for such a long time?!!! Is there a hidden force that controls our world from being destroyed?!!! How have we not noticed them!?!!! Am I just delusional??!!!! I'm definetly delusional. These are the questions that mortals often ask and frequently ignore in their life, yet answering these questions will lead a person to the Tryphant Agents. An organization who protects various civiliaztions from destruction time and time again without a single person noticing them. They are an organization that is like time, powerful yet unnoticed. This is the historical logs of the Tryphant Agents. Disclaimer: I'm writing this to fill my world with details and I'm only hoping for this to be a good story. The main core focus is to write characters with life into them, a world where it feels real, and story that is consistent. Don't expect a top tier story because this will be my experimental logs as well where I will try various writing styles. Rather I wish that you hope for a great story instead.
