《Adventures of a young Zuma》Volume 3- CHAPTER 12

We entered through the gates of Zuma, though we call it a gate but it was more of a wooden one, barely manned by any guard. The gate was in shambles and the few guards who were guarding even more so. I knew that Zuma didn’t have a deep monetary pocket to repair or build sturdy walls and the people lacked every physical or mental attribute to defend themselves from any danger nor we can afford many weapons. We had many work to do but the first was to meet the councilwoman in the office. But my thought process was interrupted by Adi’Je’s surprised reaction.

Adi’Je: “What had happened to my CLAN???”

Tears again started falling from her eyes.... She had the look of disbelief and afterwards anger...deep anger...

Adi’Je: “How can we fall this low??? What happened here My Lord?? Is this really Zuma??”

Me: “I’m afraid this is it... Welcome to Zuma, my wife.”

She put both of her hands and covered her face...I can hear her crying...after some moment she cleared her tears and said with anger...

Adi’Je: “Where are the people who are in charge of Zuma?? Where are they!!?”

She began to unsheathe her swords while giving off such an amount of blood lust that even I felt suffocating.

Well, you couldn’t blame her can you? She left her clan who were strong and powerful, then waiting for many...many years to find the right person. After finding him, she finally returned back to her Clan only to find it in shambles. Both me and Adi’Je were above 6 ft but the rest of Zumas were at maximum 5 ft, frail looking people...who looked cute rather than fearsome.

Me: “Please calm yourself down, Adi’Je...this is the reality. I’m sorry that you had to see us in this state.”

She looked towards me, after gazing at me for some moment, she sheathed her weapons and said.

Adi’Je: “No My Lord, you do not have apologize...I...I was a bit overwhelmed to find the current situation my people...I will control my emotions better...”

Me: “Then let’s head towards the Zuma Council office first.”

We headed towards the office, while everyone stopped doing what they were doing and were looking at us when we made our way. I could hear whispers and murmurs but choose to ignore them. We entered the office, though Zuma people were small in stature our buildings were made with great height...strange. So we didn’t have any problems entering or walking. We made our way to the reception where the same receptionist was seated behind the counter as the last time I was here.

Me: “I would like to meet Councilwoman Je’Lec, please.”

She was surprised to hear my voice and she looked up towards me. We looked like gaits to her. I could see fear in her eyes. She stuttered while replying to me.

Receptionist: “Y...Y...Yes...do...y...you h...hav...have an app...appointment?”

Me: “My name is Le’On and I believe I had sent a note a week ago to her stating my return and my reason for wanting to meet her. If you kindly inform her of me, I’m sure she would recognize.”

Receptionist: “Y...Yes, one mo...Moment please...”

She got up and hurriedly went inside the room behind her...

Adi’Je: “So...this type of woman now pass as Zuma woman...quiet discouraging to say the least. They are cute but could not extract out the lust from the men... My Lord, from what I saw... You have to bed at least ten of these women to get our numbers of Blood to rise... Your children will usher a new era...”

Me: “Let me handle one, and then I’ll think about others...”

She looked at me with a mischievous face and winked...

Mean while the receptionist returned and said.

Receptionist: “Sorry to keep you waiting...She is waiting for you...If you would follow me...”

I nodded and the receptionist showed us the way. I noticed that we were not going to her office.

Me: “Where are we going?”

Receptionist: “Um, we are heading towards the Grand Hall; she is waiting for you there.”

We reached in front of the grand hall. She pushed the door open and signaled for us to enter.

When we entered the room, we saw it was a big room and there were more people aside from Council Woman Je’Lec. I think the whole Council of Zuma is present here.

While I was wondering, Councilwoman Je’Lec approached us.

Council woman Je’Lec: “Before we begin, Le’On please follow me.”

I nodded and went with her...I was led to a chair and she signaled for me to sit. Adi’Je stood beside me. Councilwoman Je’Lec handed me a black crystal.

Council Woman Je’Lec: “I know you have many questions. I think all of it would be answered through here.”

Me: “What is it?”

Council Woman: “It is Be’Lon’s last part of the will for you.”

Me (surprised): “Elder’s? But I received his will...”

Council Woman (smiled): “What you received was the first part of his will. This one had a certain condition to be cleared before handing it out to you. So please view his last part of the will.”

With excitement I put one hand on the crystal, my hearts racing...

Me: “Adi’Je, please make a small cut on my finger. I must drop some of my blood on it.”

She nodded and took out a black knife. I have seen her carrying it but not use it. She made a little incision on my index finger. Blood came out and I dropped some blood on a part of the crystal. It started to glow, then after some time a screen appeared.

BLOOD LINE VERIFIED

INITIALIZING....

WILL OF ZUMA TRANSFERRED TO LEON

Me: “Show Will Of Zuma.”

WILL OF ZUMA:-

My child, if you are reading this, then that means you have activated the condition. This makes me so happy, my child. I know you are going to have a lot of questions. I will try my best to explain every bit of it, but you need to be patient. Let me start by telling you a bit of history...the history of Zuma’s.

After our patriarch Hui’Mi settled here, he knew that our Clan’s racial trait would create havoc if not controlled properly. At that time many new clans were coming to light and to make them strong, they were making each other allies. Those who didn’t, declared war on them. He knew if we could not control this, then we will be again dragged into war. Though our trait was suppressed but the pride was still a major factor.

So he decided to fully suppress the trait. He laid guidelines for the then Zumas to follow, in doing so there traits would get suppressed in time and the next generation will have much more control over the suppression.

He also made a law, that after the 3rd generation, a test was mandatory for the children who were close to being on their 3rd birthday. The test was called the Test of Blood-ship.

He stated that every child would be sent into the swamp and would be tasked to kill the guardian Talons who were placed there for exactly that reason. The one who kills it first would receive a quest of the highest Zuma degree.

The quest was to be carried out by the winner after their 3rd birthday. A treasure had to be unlocked in the Dentia forest. The treasure belonged to us but it was locked. So the winner had to go there to unlock it and retrieve it.

No one knew where the treasure was or what it was except the royal bloodline Elder and a few Council members of every generation.

In Dentia forest, a young but powerful Blood waited for the person who went in search for it. That person was the most powerful warrior a Blood had ever produced, even rivaling Hui’Mi himself. That person was to be his wife but Hui’Mi ordered her to stay there and wait for the next Blood who would go there. Test him, if he is truly worthy and if he passed, then pass him the king’s sword and declare him king of the Zumas. If she chooses, then she can also stake her claim over him as his first wife, such was the quest.

Upon being declared King of Blood Zumas, he would have to travel back to Zuma and lift the Suppression of Racial Trait. Only the King has that power. But, generations after generations, everybody failed. In term, we were perceived as weak by the entire Zoit Continent and we began to lose our standing. Due to our suppression, we were weak so we could not protect ourselves as you know. Countless of our people lost lives while we were no closer to being liberated.

The Zuma Council decided to change the screening process. In order to become strong, one had to have true courage. Without anyone’s help or knowledge, forge their own path through sheer will. We decided to monitor children to see which one had that trait. But sadly after years of suppression of our racial trait, our courage faded in the younger generations. No one stood out.

Your parents were the last to show promise but they too perished early leaving you to me. You, my child...the last in the line of Zuma royalty. But I too feared that it would be same for you...Ha Ha Ha Ha...But to my delight, I was wrong. When I noticed you going in the swamp alone or killing monsters stronger than you...I was happy, happy at the fact that our royal bloodline was still alive. But you were progressing slowly.

Another piece of history... Many...many years before, we helped a man called Nomer to transport his prized jewel over the Sameria Sea. We used this opportunity to create a cover for our quest if the Zoit Council decided or interfered in our plans. So at regular intervals tips were created after Nomer's death for his jewel so that people should recognize the legend. The Council launched many men to seek for it but they met their end in the burned down Nomer Castle. We also knew there lay a vicious monster that would take care of them. So the control of information was kept in our hands. Only a newly Zuma...nay...only a newly evolved Blood Zuma could slay her.

Tomorrow is your third birthday but still you haven’t killed the guardian. Time is running out for you and for us. We generated another tip and they were answered. The adventure party just came today. Tomorrow is your birthday and to make you cross the hurdle I have to implement a plan...a dangerous plan.

If you are reading this that means I have succeeded in my plan. I’m sorry child; I could not be present there by your side. But if the lady has chosen you as her husband then I am relieved. Be good to her, she has faced far tougher trails than you have. Treat her like a proper Blood Wife.

My child, the people will follow you wherever you lead them. If you wish to uplift the Oppression Mark than I should give you a warning...with our power and knowledge comes pride hand in hand. Whatever had happened to us was all because of our blinding pride.

This new event would make the whole Zoit continent tremble...but whether they tremble with fear or amazement and wonder for us, depends upon you, my child. I know, in my heart you would make a great leader and a worthy king for our people, lead us to a new height, My King.

The message ended. I looked towards Council Woman Je’Lec.

Council Woman Je’Lec: “Before you say anything, we want you to make your decision outside in front of all the Clan members.”

Me: “What? All the members...”

Council Woman Je’Lec: “Yes, when you activated your Will of Zuma, that in turn activated another condition for every Zuma, which notified them of their ancestry and the course of action you are about to make. Whatever you decide, we stay united.”

We came outside and saw everyone standing in front of the Council building. Everyone from young, old and child were waiting. I could see tears in some of their eyes.

All Council persons went ahead to join them...everyone was eagerly waiting...The choice I had to make was clear to me and the reason for it...also.

Me (in a loud voice): “My wife who is standing beside me, the woman who had gone through so many things to save an important part of our history, she will become the next General of the Blood Zumas. She would help train and understand everything about being a Blood.

I do not want to fight the Zoit Council as we are a part of it just like the rest of the Clans. But from this day onward we will take back our pride and sent a message to the Council of Zoit informing them, that the Zumas are no more. RISE BLOOD ZUMAS!!!!”

They all kneeled in front of me and Adi’Je too. A white light surrounded all the people in front of me. When the light faded...I saw no Zumas but only Bloods...We have been reborn...

In unison they shouted “WE THE NEWLY BORN BLOODS IN ACCORDING TO OUR ANCIENT LAWS OF BLOOD ZUMA, BOW TO OUR NEW KING....ALL HAIL!!!!...KING LE’ON!!!!!.....” “KING!!!” “KING!!!!” “KING!!!!”.......

From this day onwards, a new chapter in our history would be written.

NOTICE:-

You have exercised your right to lift the THE RULE OF SUPPRESSION OF RACIAL TRAIT over the general Zuma populace.

They all have now accepted their new evolution path:-

THE BLOOD ZUMA
