I did not wait to see where the voice was coming from? Or who was the speaker who gave such a great devious aura? Such aura would stun any untrained men...But at that moment none of that mattered to me...My only concern was to get Marion to the safety of the camp. I really hoped that the camp remained safe at that time. Hoping for the best, I grabbed Marion’s left hand who was still under the effect of the unknown speaker with my right hand and started to run towards the direction of the camp.

As we were just about to escape from that area, the monsters which were standing on the branches of the trees attacked. I drew out my sword with my free left hand and slashed at the first one that came near me...before it could use its claws my vertical slash cut into two half...I did not have time to be amazed at my swords sharpness nor time to analyze the monsters attacking us but something was off...they didn’t have any eyes...

We ran through the forest, I looked back to see if Marion was alright... She was but I knew she was afraid...but I have seen her unfazed in all the fights before this...then why was she afraid??

Me: “Why are you afraid?? We will soon reach the camp and make a stand... don’t worry too much...it’s going to be alright...?”

Marion: “I am not afraid...”

Me: “But your face is telling me a different story...”

Marion: “It is not fear that I feel right now but worry...”

Me: “Worry!! For what?”

Marion: “For you...”

Me: “For me!!! Why??”

Marion: “Because I know what ever that thing was Javel and the rest of the group cannot fight it even if they attack together, such was its aura...you felt that too...but it is within your new gained power to fight that monster if not on equal grounds but at least you would have a better chance than the rest of us...”

Me: “I know that... but why worry?? It’s not like this was the first time that I was going to fight stronger enemies...”

Marion: “I don’t think you would understand the feelings that I am feeling right now...”

Me: “Why not?? Tell me why are feeling like that?”

We were running, a few more distance away from the camp but I needed for her to answer...because I wanted to hear what she was feeling...

Marion: “I am feeling this...because...because I know you like to fight without care for yourself...whenever you fight I have seen you turn into something worse...even worse than the monsters you fight and as much as I don’t want to see that...as much as I want for you to not fight...I know that I cannot...I feel helpless when I watch you from the sidelines... taking the heavy brunt of an monster attack or going out of your way to save anyone without the slightest care for yourself...

My heart beats faster than normal...I feel as if something’s wrapping around my soul, making me breathless...I fight to hold back tears so that I can continue to do my job...I often wondered about that before...Why do I feel this? Or why I have started to think about you?? What changed from the time when you were still a reckless rookie?? All these questions with no answers; filling my mind, my heart...why? Why? Why?...Then the incident happened with us inside the cave...From the moment I regained my consciousness, I knew the answer to all my questions... All these questions and only one answer which validates them all and it was a simple answer too...”

Me: “What was the answer???”

I could see the camp fire some distance away...I was somewhat relieved to see it... I turned towards Marion to see her...she was crying, tears were rolling down from her eyes onto her brown beautiful cheeks...I turned forward again...

Me: “Tell me...what was the answer?”

Marion: “The answer that I received or realized that...I...I...”

We came near the camp sight...only a few hundred meters left...

Me: “What was it, Marion??”

The forest was not silent...I could hear something which was not normal...it was out of place within the forest...but I couldn’t figure what it was? We were just near the camp...I felt water dropping above me...so it had started to rain...

Me: “Marion...what was it?”

Marion: “The answer...I am afraid to tell you...”

Me: “Tell me...when we enter the camp...we will be apart from each other...I cannot fight anyone if your words are left unfinished...It would nag me and I need to stay focused to even match that thing...so...”

Marion (shouted): “I LOVE YOU....I LOVE YOU AND I CANNOT LOOSE YOU... (She started crying) You are much too important to me...”

We entered the camp site and found everyone ready with their weapons...

Me: “I promise you Marion...You will not lose me...”

Javel saw me coming and was about to say something but I interrupted him...

Me: “Javel, take Marion and we are going to be attacked by the guardian...I think...I heard its voice... this will not be easy...”

Javel takes Marion’s hand and said...

Javel: “I know...look around...”

I looked around but only rain was falling...I looked at my hands...the raindrops were red!

Me: “Javel...where’s Adi’Je?”

Javel: “(He pointed upwards) Up there...”

I looked closely and then I found her...She was jumping from branch to branch with a smile on her face...what was she doing?? and why was blood coming down like rain?? As I looked closer I had my answer...She was cutting the monsters that were on the trees...there blood spurted out and it felt like rain...What a beautiful sight it was?? But there was no time to be amazed at her movements. We need to act quickly...

Me (screamed): “ADI’JE.... COME DOWN HERE...”

Then I turned towards Javel...

Me: “Javel, whatever that is coming I’m afraid even if you attack at once, you cannot defeat it...I felt its aura...its powerful devious aura...it would be too much for you or anyone but...”

Javel: “But you could handle it...”

Me: “Yes...I can at least counter it‘s aura with my own bloodlust... so please you, Wei and Adi form a perimeter on the ground, in the centre Marion will be positioned with Aby, Ron and Paleg forming a triangular perimeter around her, using their arrows...Ron and Aby would also be waiting to relieve someone in the fight who would receive injury and needing immediate medicine...Trying to keep the fight on the ground...Oh and these things have no eyes...”

Javel: “Ok and what would you do??”

Me: “I will go after the guardian...”

Javel (raising an eyebrow):’ “You...”

Me: “Look, I know what you are thinking...but I’m not that same kid anymore, I have power and training...I am the best candidate to fight it, believe me on this Javel...”

Javel (though for a moment and said): “Ok...”

He screamed the orders at everyone and all of them moved into formation without any hesitation or questions... in the mean time Adi’Je also came back...

Adi’Je: “My Lord, You are back? You would not believe how much fun I was having cutting these abominations...”

Me: “Adi...You will stay on the ground and follow Javel's order...you are to secure the outer perimeter...I am giving you this task as I know you are the most skilled warrior among us...”

Adi’Je (with a look of disbelief on her face): “But, then why...”

Me (interrupting her): “That is the exact reason why I need you down here so that you could protect them, when they need it...You can shoulder the load brought by these monster, but they can't...So please I need you here...fighting on the ground...”

Adi’Je (clearly showing her annoyance): “And where will you fight My Lord?”

Me: “I will go and intercept the guardian so that these monsters don’t have anyone feeding them clever tactics or organize them...”

Adi’Je (looking at me for a moment then said): “Ok...My Lord, I will do as you like and please be careful...its claws both in the hands and feet’s are shaped liked swords and he has four more elongated tentacles which he can move very efficiently...”

Me (smiling at her): “Thank you Adi...I knew I could count on you whenever needed and please...take care of yourself too. I don’t want you to get injured and after all this is over I would like for us to talk about a certain situation...”

Adi’Je (smiling): “My Lord...I will see you after his battle and I give you permission to the matter you would discuss with me...”

After saying this, she came close and we kissed...it was warm and assuring...It filled me with courage...I suppose this is why we beast men treasure our women...

She joined the formation and I got ready...for the guardian...

Now, that I have some time for myself, I observed the monsters that were going to attack us. They had no eyes just big ugly long mouths with sharp and long teeth’s, standard claws with nails protruding out giving it a look of a small but sharp sword. Their legs were small in length compared to their body, they were grey in colour. They didn’t have any eyes, tongue, tails or any king of natural armour for defence. They were a perfect offensive tool and when Adi’Je was cutting them, they lacked basic concept of defence or any kind of offence other than charging with speed, slashing and biting. But if they were controlled by a higher intellect being like that guardian, they too would become a big booger in the nose... a very nasty one at that. If I had to kill them quickly, I would have to force them to a close quarter fight...

I was thinking all of these things when I felt that aura again...but something was missing this time...it didn’t felt as much powerful as before...but still the amount it generated, my observation of the situation was correct. But, why does it feel like it had diminished in terms of power?? Was it using the presence of the surrounding monsters to increase its power?? If that was true then, then this one though being powerful was also shrewd monster...

It spoke again but this time it showed its face...UHGGG...its ugly... it had the face of a monster who would be a close cousin of the Joiur, which lived in the swamp back in my hometown...It had just like Adi’Je informed me, swords for claws...actually those were its nails...just like its children...I think these monsters are his children and the main thing was that it was wearing the gemstone as a necklace...The gem stone was violet in colour and was big...

“HA HA HA HA...AHHH I SEE, ADI’JE YOU ARE OUT OF THAT THING...HA HA HA HA...I TAKE IT YOUR CHAMPION HAS ARRIVED....HA HA HA...WHERE IS HE??? I WANT TO MEET HIM FACE TO FACE SO THAT I CAN KILL HIM, EAT HIM & MAKE YOU MINE...HA HA HA HA HA....”

*********Marion’s POV********

What kind of monsters are these??? NO eyes...how can they see??? Maybe they can feel our movements or feel our heat...so many...I hope we will get out of this without any casualties...When it is over I’ll...I’ll spend my days with him...all of my life....Le’On...he has changed...But I don’t know whether for good or bad... I hope he comes out of it safely...please be safe....please be safe, Le'On.

Something came out of the dark...ohh no...This aura, again...but from where it is coming from...is it coming from this monster? It must be the one, whose voice I heard before...he must be the guardian...so powerful...looking at him gives me the chills...

He said some nasty words towards Adi’Je concerning Le’On...How dare he say that he will kill Le’On and eat him....ohh no...Eat him and make Adi’Je his...I feel sick....wait Le’On...

Le’On charged at the monster, he drew his swords jumped at him and slashed it...He CUT HIM!!! Yesss....blood spread out from its wound; spraying over Le’On... he stood there in front of it after that attack and said.

Le’On: “I AM HER CHAMPION, YOU JOIUR FACED BOOGER... BUT BEFORE I HACK YOU INTO PIECES TELL ME...WHERE DID YOU GET THAT PIECE OF JEWELLERY?”

???: “YOU DARED TO INSULT THE GREAT KOLREM, THE KING OF THIS FOREST....I WILL PUNISH YOU FOR YOUR INSOLENCE!!!”

Le’On: “HA HA HA HA...DON’T MAKE ME LAUGH...YOU...A KING....HA HA HA HA... YOU LOOK MORE OF A JESTER THAN A KING AND I GATHER YOU KNOW THE MEANING OF BOOGER....HE HE HE HE...BUT TELL ME HOW DID YOU GET THAT GEM BEFORE I CUT YOU INTO PIECES...”

Kolrem: “THIS IS MY CROWN JEWEL...I TOOK IT FROM SOME WEARY BEAST WOMEN....BEFORE I ....HE HE HE HE...ARGGGGGG.....”

Le’On without waiting for his sentence to end, slashed at his throat, green fluid which I gather would be its blood spraying out...Le’On covered in its blood...his face had changed...it feels like...he’s a different person, more cold than frost itself and terrifying than this abomination....

All the creatures started their attack...everybody prepared themselves and soon the battle began...Javel and Wei were as usual, hacking the monsters left and right but Adi’Je was different. She was cutting them into pieces; it felt as if her intention was not just to kill it but drench in its blood... WAIT!!! Le’On also fights that way...When we first saw Adi’Je she said that Le’On’s bloodlust had impressed her and a Blood female only chooses her partner by measuring their blood lust...

Blood...the main thing connecting them...Ohh...I see...it is their main focal point of the clan or it used to be...So... they crave enemy Blood while fighting...truly horrifying. I don’t know whether to be happy for Le’On or should I be more worried.

As I looked again at Le’On...I couldn’t believe it...that monsters wounds had healed...how can it be???

Kolrem: “YOU FOOL!!! YOU CANNOT KILL ME....I AM IMMORTAL....HA HA HA HA HA....ARGGGGGGGG....”

Le’On: “SO YOU CAN HEAL YOUR WOUNDS...BIG DEAL...BUT I BET YOU CAN”T REGENERATE THAT PART....CAN YOU??? HA HA HA HA HA...”

The monster, whose name was Kolrem was clutching onto its abdomen in pain...its mouth foaming...some part of its body fell down on the ground...But what did Le’On cut??

Kolrem: “AHHHHHHH......YOU WILL PAY FOR THIS.....”

As he removed his claws...I couldn’t believe it...Le’On had...had...he had cleaved off the monster's private part...his penis...completely...

After shouting at Le’On, he charged towards Le’On...he swung its claws left and right...Le’On dodged some while his armour took some slashes...sparks flew of the armour... Le’On quickly ducked under him and went behind him, he turned while standing up, slashed on Kolrem’s back but two tentacles emerged out of his back and tried to parry the slash...but the tentacles got cut...cleanly...what kind of weapon Le’On was wielding???

Kolrem shouted in pain, but his wounds were healing faster...he used the back of his claw while turning to face Le’On...Le’On blocked the attack with his sword in his right hand and with a downward slash...he cut off the claw cleanly with his left. Blood spraying out violently...Le’On drenching in it...he didn’t mind...He enjoyed it...again with his free right he stabbed Kolrem into the area where his heart would be...it was a through and through wound...Kolrem screamed in extreme pain but he didn’t die, his heart was supposed to be damaged by the last attack but why he didn’t die??

Unless....

Kolrem: “HA HA HA HA YOU FOOL!!! YOU CAN NOT KILL ME!!!! HA HA HA HA HA....HAGHHH....”

Le’On cut its head off cleanly without letting him finish....

Finally, the battle is over... Uffff....I had my heart in my mouth...Le’On...you did good...But...why doesn’t its body fall down?? It’s still standing...Wait!!!Something’s appearing...foam like substance is covering....Ohhh...it’s...it’s...it’s...
