The moment Thaddeus cast the spell the burns on his body started to heal and the flames started to spread over almost all the city. George could tell that Thaddeus ‘s body was still getting damaged but it was being healed at an even faster rate, this made it possible for him to damage Wilton without dying himself.

Wilton seeing the flames surround him fastened his pace and started to shoot arrows but to his surprise, he couldn’t hit Thaddeus, the arrows would explore mid-air before they reached him. George couldn’t see the arrows but he could see the explosions. It was like everything was happening in an instant and he could only see the result of their actions.

Wilton was doing his best to dodge the flames but got surrounded after a while and there was no way to escape them. George couldn’t see him because of the flames but heard Wilton scream and saw his bow drop out of the air damaged by the flames.

Just as George thought that Thaddeus had won he saw four dark arrows each at least a meter-long pierced trough Thaddeus ‘s body and the flames started to disappear. For some reason, the buildings weren’t damaged and it looked like as if nothing had happened. Thaddeus caught a mouth full of blood and fell on his knees, George looked up and saw Wilton standing there with half of his body burned and a dark aura around him. He was holding a new bow that looked like it was completely made of black flames, the feeling he got from it gave George the chills. Wilton didn’t seem worried about the burns on his body and had a cold smile on his face.

“I can’t believe you are still alive after I hit you through the heart with my eternal weapon, your legacy is really something else. But unfortunately for you, this is the end, you don’t have enough power left and I can just keep shooting you until you are out of energy. But you should be proud, there are not a lot of support typed that could say they made me use an eternal bow to kill them.”

George saw the black arrows disappeared after a while and Thaddeus was healed enough to stand up, the wounds on his body had healed but he was still in pain, just when he was about to say something two more arrows hit his legs and he fell on his knees again.

“Who said you can stand up, why don’t you stop resisting me, I will get your legacy one way or the other.” Said Wilton with a cold smile on his face, Thaddeus ‘s legacy was something many people would be willing to risk their lives for and he had an excited look on his face.

Thaddeus was looking at the ground and was clearly disappointed with himself, he wanted to get revenge for himself and his student but didn’t have the power to defeat Wilton alone.

“My dear sister, please help this incompetent brother of yours who couldn’t get revenge for his student.” Said Thaddeus with emotion in his voice.

“Your brothers and sisters are all sealed inside the tomb, there is no way anyone is going to help you now, now give me the legacy without any tricks or your clan is going to be next.” Said Wilton with a big grin on his face, it clearly looked like Thaddeus was getting desperate and was even asking for help from people who had been sealed.

But just as he was laughing something unexpected happened, the whole city started to shake and the earth above the city started to tear apart. Big rocks were falling on the city and the castle but it didn’t seem to be able to damage it. George wonders what the city was made of to not be damaged by fire and now big rocks.

Just as George was thinking what it could be the hole in the roof of the city got bigger and a creature started to push itself inside of the city, George had never seen such a big lizard and it was at least just as big as the castle itself. The lizard had dark green skin with sharp teeth and two bright red eyes. George unknowingly fell on the ground and it was hard to breath, his whole body was shaking from the terrifying energy he felt coming from the lizard, the pressure he got from the big monster was like nothing he had felt before, the pressure Wilton gave off was like that of a child compared to the lizards.

When the lizards head broke through, George saw a woman standing on top of his head, she was wearing a black robe and had the darkest eyes and hair he had ever seen which popped out because of her completely white skin, she was standing there crossing arms and had an arrogant look on her face.

“That’s impossible, the second prince sealed you himself, there is no way you could have broken out.” Said Wilton while at the same time moving a couple of steps back. George had seen it many times before and knew instantly that the look on Wilton’s eyes was that of fear.

The woman didn’t say anything and the lizard was still trying to push itself into the city but had a hard time getting his whole body inside.

“Do not think that I’m afraid of you woman, I don’t want to fight you but that doesn’t mean I won’t be able to kill you even if that means going all out and putting my life on the line” Said Wilton while the dark energy around his bow started to get stronger, not only George but Thaddeus was also surprised by the power Wilton was releasing, it looked like he was just playing with Thaddeus earlier and was getting serious for the first time.

At the same time the lizard got enraged because he couldn’t get out of the wall completely and started to shoot lightning balls from his mouth, Wilton with greater speed dodged the lightning balls and before George knew that happened had fired eight arrows that were at least ten meters long each into the body of the lizard.

The lizard screamed in pain and to Wilton’s surprise didn’t seem to slow down in the least and was even getting stronger by the second.

“If that freakish monster breaches the wall I won’t have a chance, it looks like I have to use everything I have to finish it before it’s too late. It’s truly incredible how the ninth prince was able to collect such a group of monsters, but this is also a chance for me, if I can get my hands on her legacy I will have the power to become a contender to join the second prince’s court.” Said, Wilton, while he released every drop of power he had, the air around him got even heavier and the dark energy coming from him was almost just as strong as the lizards.

“I can’t believe someone who had only trained for around twenty thousand years has reached this kind of power, we old fools really think too much of ourselves.” Said, Thaddeus, while shaking his head in disappointment. He had been alive for more than fifty thousand years and found it hard to believe that someone who was so much younger like Wilton had reached this level of insight on an element.

George couldn’t follow the speed of the two attacking each other. The Lizard kept shooting lightning balls but Wilton was only dodging and the whole city was being destroyed by the lightning blasts, George couldn’t believe how powerful the lizard was and that one of those lightning balls could blow the begins village and everyone in it without even a chance of escape. Wilton was channeling all his power into one attack and was planning to finish it before the lizard had breached the city completely.

What George didn’t know was that the walls of the city were protected by a formation and that breaching the city was almost impossible and that being able to breach it even a little was already amazing.

Wilton finally made his move and before George could see there were more than fifty dark arrows inside the lizard’s body each a couple meters long, the lizard screamed in pain and stopped moving. The woman standing on top of the lizard was also torn to pieces and George saw her falling from the lizard and hitting the ground.

“It’s a shame your sister was so overconfident, she could have breached the formation on her own and summoned a monster when inside instead of trying to brute force her way in. All you first generation cultivators always think too little of me and the prize you have to pay is two legacy’s, and I will gladly accept.” Said Wilton while breathing heavily, George could see that he had used all his strength and that he almost didn’t have the power to stand.

Just as George thought Wilton had won the battle the big lizard disappeared and the whole city that was in ruins turned back to normal. A woman who looked young and had a big smile on her face appeared behind Wilton and within seconds cut his throat.

“Impossible…” Said Wilton before closing his eyes and dying on the spot, George could see the unwillingness to admit defeat.

“big brother Thaddeus, I did good, right?” Said the girl standing behind Wilton’s corps, she was completely the opposite of the girl from before. She had a kind look on her face and she looked like a fun and warm person. The thing that George noticed the most about her was her eyes, it looked like mechanical eyes and one of them was blue and the other purple.

“You really are amazing Marie, to think that you could make an illusion of this magnitude when you have been training for less than ten thousand years, and to think that you are just a support type just like me. I wonder how strong you could have become if you had the chance to keep cultivating, it’s a shame we won’t be alive to see it.” Said Thaddeus with a sad look on his face but also a spark in his eyes when he saw Wilton lying there dead on the ground.

“I was only able to reach this level of cultivation so quickly because of the help of the prince and you guys, it’s true that I won’t get to cultivate anymore but I wouldn’t change the time I had with the prince and the group for anything. Now let’s see what this guy was up too.” Said Marie with a smile on her face, she put her hand on Wilton’s head and her eyes started to shine with blue and purple light, George looked at Thaddeus and his eyes were also shining with a blue and purple light.
