Solomon waited for other ideas but seeing the class falling into silence and everybody thinking about George’s answer decided to continue making his point.

“The reason I asked you to think about the subject is not that I wanted to solve this mystery today, but I want to use it as an example. I know many of you have been thought martial arts and have neglected academic studies from birth but I want you to think about every situation and act accordingly. Read the evidence and get your own conclusion and don’t let other people think for you.

If you believe it's luck then use it in future situations and calculate your chances and if it’s worth to take the risk. And if you believe its balance then maybe that’s the answer to everything like forming your team or selecting your jobs. It can also be a combination of the two, or like many people believe a system put in place by the government to control what class everyone gets and to destroy their enemy’s that why.”

George could see many different reactions, most of the people didn’t understand the importance of the lesson they got but a few were paying close attention. Just as they were expecting Solomon to continue Tyler put up his hand to ask a question.

“Teacher I want to ask about the last theory you mentioned, isn’t it true that if that theory is true there is no point in Nash and whatever we do we are just pawns of the government.”

Everyone including George got surprised by this question. Some even started to look around like they didn’t hear Taylor. Talking about the government was not something everyone dared to do and it could be seen as an offense. Even the theory Solomon mentions was not wildly spread because of the fear of the government. But George was interested, he wanted to know who these people are and why they rule from the shadows.

“You have to decide for yourself, there have been many governments even before Nash where people had little freedom, but analyzing the theory is important. Ask yourself, if the government is all powerful why would they need something like this to control the big clans. And why do they monitor us in the real world but not in Nash.”

Tyler was in deep thought about the answer he got and didn’t ask any other question.

“Teacher your thinking too much about this. The government is all powerful there is no way they are not controlling or monitoring us.” Said the boy sitting in front with confidence on his face.

“Is that so? Then let me ask you, why are we not allowed to talk about Nash in the real world? And if the government can see all why are the members of the dark clans not found after all these years, or Green moon punished for the crimes he has committed.”

The boy had a confused look on his face and Solomon continued.

“You are just starting on your journey and already think that you have the answers. Subjects like this have been discussed by great minds for generations with no answers. Don’t let common opinion or speculation fool you. In your journey, you will find many people who preach lies and even clans that twist the truth to make people do the things they want. That’s why I want you to think for yourself and draw your own conclusion, but only after you have done the research and are sure that this is the truth or the closest thing to it.”

The boy in the front felt angry because of Solomon’s reaction and didn’t say anything anymore, so Solomon continued his lecture.

“So let’s start the test shall we. Before we start is there anyone who already knows his class or doesn’t want to be tested?”

Even though Solomon knew that almost all newcomers would take this great opportunity he still had to ask them if they wanted to take the test. But seeing nobody say anything he quickly moved the two stones in place to start the test.

“Classes are divided into four basic groups which consist of fighter, rogue, mage, and support. Some people are born with legacy classes that are so unique that they can’t be put under any of these four classes. So it was decided to add a fifth group which consists only of legacy classes and therefore is called the legacy class. But this does not mean that all legacy users have to be in the legacy class, almost all of the legacy users can be put in the standard four classes. For example, if a regular player is put in the fighter class as a samurai, a legacy player can also be a samurai but with a special skill that is usually passive like the ability to add bleeding effect on the enemy, or to neglect enemy armor on his first and second attack. Legacy classes with active spells are so rare that only one in every ten thousand legacy users has it. Because of their extraordinary power they are kept a secrecy by clans and are seen as a big treasure that can elevate a clan to new heights. There have been cases of clans going to war to obtain them or to kill them. In my travels I have only met two myself, one has the ability to transform his body and become an ancient beast who has absolute control over ice and can’t be harmed by it. And the other one can make and manipulate formations that are so powerful that entire armies can’t break them.

Even the people who get legacies are dependent on luck at the end of the day. Many of the passive skills that legacy users get are not so special and only give them a small advantage in the beginning stages of their training. But others get skills so powerful that they can shake the world if given the time to cultivate.”

Everyone was looking at Solomon and trying to imagine how strong these people were and if one day they could be as strong as them. But to George it was just bothersome, he could imagine the pressure and hard work these people had to go through to reach the strength they had. And the last thing he wanted to was having to sleep with one eye open, afraid of assassins or clans that wanted these powers for themselves. He would just go from being control by his parents and Vincent to being controlled by powerful clans.

Solomon waited for a little so the students could take in the information and went on to his lecture.

“I won’t talk much about skills. You will find everything you need in the manual. The only thing for now that you need to know is that it shows you what kind of elements you are compatible with, and that’s it’s not recommended to buy skills with other elements. Most people are only compatible with one element and if you’re lucky maybe two. But there has never been a limitation, there are stories about legends who had four or more elements. One of them Green Moon who I mentioned before.

The students started to take the test, starting from the front seats. After the first student went it was the turn of the boy sitting the front asking the questions. George could see from Solomon’s expression that he had an interest in him and that he was curious what the results would be.

“Good luck Alex, I hoop you get what you wished for, Silverster, ” said Solomon with a smile on his face. Alex still a little angry about before said his thanks and walked toward the stones. He put both of his hands on the stones and waited for the results.

Solomon seeing the results was pleasantly surprised.

“You are pretty lucky. When you have the credits go to Master Adam’s class, he can guide you the best of all the teachers here. But with a great class like this also comes problems, like the cost of lessons. Water mages are proud and ask a lot for lessons and are known to refuse people they think are not worthy of their time or knowledge”

After that, the test went on as usual with everyone getting different classes and no more than one element. George was thinking about his chances when it was Tyler’s turn to take the test.

This was the first two element skill type and everyone was looking at Tyler with surprise and envy. Solomon, on the other hand, was not so excited as the rest.

“Your luck is good to get two elements but you have a hard road ahead of you. Archers are pretty weak and the beginning and it’s almost impossible to get the necessary skills to grow stronger if you don’t belong to a strong clan.

But it’s not impossible if you find a way to reach the highlands you have a good chance of being recruited by the big clans because of your two elements.

Go to master Percy’s class, he properly won’t teach you any active skills but he can teach you some novice passive skills. He does also have active skills he can teach but how you are going to convince him to teach you is a challenge you have to overcome yourself.”

Tyler only had a smile on his face the entire time and you could see the determination on his face to succeed. He gave his thanks and went back to his seat.

After Tyler was done it was George’s turn to take the test. Even George couldn’t deny that he felt nerves taking the test that could decide the road he would be taking for the rest of his life.

When he came to the front Solomon was waiting for him with a smile on his face.

“Good luck George.”
