A week has passed since Lucifer and the two girls arrived in the capital and met with the imposter. After buying a two-story house they decided to live in the capital for a while.
“Lucifer what are you doing?”
Sia asked as she watched Lucifer making thousands of different arrays which she didn’t recognize. Looking passed the arrays where four fresh corpses which are being preserved perfectly. Next to them are four jars with colorful flames in them without any burnable materials.
“I’m making a prank where the dead rise.” He said before swiping away his sweat as he finished making all the arrays he needs.
“Um, why?” Luna asked as she looked into the room.
“The guy on the left was general of the capital army and loved jokes so I asked him what his final joke he wanted to be, and he said for the dead to rise and walk the streets for the day.”
“Then what about the other three?” Sia had to ask.
“The next to the general was a well-known businessman who can trade anything as long there a price for it. The third was a famous killer who was executed a few days ago and drops outside the capital for the animal to eat. The forth is just a man who fell out the window and died by accident.” Lucifer said.
“How is this a joke if it only them four marching?” Luna said.
“Who says it only them four I’m planning to put them on horses while they raised the dead from the graveyards and have thousands march with them. If it not big then how can it work?” Lucifer said as if its common sense.
“So is this going to be like Lucifer second coming with his four horsemen and army of the dead?” Sia said.

“Of course not, why would anyone think that,” Lucifer said with a laugh as he began planting the array on the corpses.
‘I think anyone who doesn’t know what going on would think that.’ The girls thought but won’t admit since it looks like he enjoying himself.
After few hours of positioning the arrays inside them came the hardest part which was putting the artificial souls, he made using his devouring ability which he somewhat forgets the most of the time. He wanted to make more but each soul cost about ten million each to make and alongside some failure left him with thirty thousand souls to play with.
“Let start with the poor man first as a test run,” Lucifer said before he picked up the jar filled with the soul.
Grabbing the soul Lucifer carefully began to merge it with the body while hoping there was no rejection between the two. After few minutes the two has completely merged but a small surprised happen as the soul mutated and gained poison aspect.
“This is so cool but will the other also gain unique abilities?” Lucifer wondered before resting.
“Lucifer comes eat before it gets cold,” Luna shouted from the kitchen.
“I’m busy so I will skip.” He replied.
“If you come joined us I will destroy your project,” Sia said.
“I am there in a second,” Lucifer said sprinting out of the room.
After leaving the room the souls within the jar began to shake as they began to slide closer to the corpse lying nearby. After ramming the sides of the jar few times, the jar began to crack which allowed the souls to slip through and into the corpses.
Few minutes went by until the souls completely merged with the bodies and they began to awaken once again. The first one to wake up was the general before he stood up with wobbling legs followed by the killer. The final to woke up shortly after since Lucifer didn’t put a sleeping array on them three and only o the one he put the soul in.

“Are you General Hoodwink who loved to pull pranks?” the merchantman said.
“Yes that is me but you’re the man who everyone says that trade anything as long there a price, Merchant Gold.” Hoodwink said in surprise.
“Who are you and where are we?” Gold asked looking around the room filled with weird symbols.
“I’m John Ashburner also known as ‘back alley stabber’ but I was hung last I remember?” he arrogantly said.
“I fell to illness last I remember.” Hoodwink said.
“I fell out a window,” the fourth man said as they forgot his present.
“I last remember having a heart attack so does this mean were dead?” Gold said.
“It has to be.” The general said.
After staying in the room they began to look around for clue but came up empty-handed. Suddenly the door swung open revealing a man with long silver hair who looked at them in shock. Looking at them he then looked at the jars only to see that cracks form in them and guess that the soul merged on their own.
“You guys woke up faster then I thought you would.” He simply said.
“What do you want with us and how are we here if we died,” Gold said.
“I created artificial souls for you and the reason is that the general wanted to do a prank where the dead rise. Don’t you remember saying that when I visited you a few days ago.” Lucifer simply asked.
“Ah, now I remember saying something like that but I didn’t think you could actually do it.” Hoodwink said.
“It because I’m Lucifer but that not important as I wonder if your soul gained unique abilities,” Lucifer said with glowing eyes.
Quickly scanning their soul Lucifer seen that they each gain a unique ability that related to them in some way as the general has the ability of never falling in battle. As for the merchant he can bring out someone greed and lastly for the killer he can control one’s death if there mortal and not a cultivator.
“What do you plan to do to use now?” The poor man said.
“Of course, have you lead thousand of the undead and march through the city,” Lucifer said.
“…”

Musings of a Hypocrite
Mortals are weird. They insisted in unity, as well as individualism. More often than not, they're shocked at truth and honesty, but not at falsehood and deceit. They asked questions with multiple answers, and provided answers that begged other questions. They made things to break, they destroyed things to study, they researched things to recreate. Humans, Elves, Beastmen. All of them. Within these contradictions, a miracle might manifest. But this tended to work with a trial and error methodology. Most mortals never got the happy ending. This diary is my journey alongside a few students of mine. In simple terms - they learn, they grow, they fight. They'll journey through centuries of conflict, from the physical to the educational. They'll experience the cruelty and benelovence of all living-kind. They'll experience the consequences of their choices and the blessings of their rewards. They will grow to become useful to me, or die trying like all the others. As for you? The god reading our lives like a book, sitting in your chair without a care in the world?
