After leaving the island Sia led them towards the west where they flew for few hours before reaching the beach where hundreds of mortals were playing in the water. Taking a look around Lucifer was stun at how fast the mortal progressed in technology as most cultivation worlds in the deity memories were medieval style.
“Look at them they are beautiful,” a man said looking at Sia and Luna.
“He also handsome but only if he had muscle,” a woman said watching Lucifer.
“Are they cosplaying,” other said as many began to swam them.
After being surrounded by them Lucifer had no idea what going one as he didn’t understand the language while Luna and Sia did as they learned it the last time they were out. After few minutes of being surrounded Lucifer patients started to shirk making him want to cut them all down.
“What are they saying,” Lucifer asked.
“They are just rambling about our appearance and our outfits,” Sia answered him.
“Why our outfits they should be from twenty years ago?” Lucifer asked.
“It seems that we fell behind the fashion trend,” Luna said.
“Well that doesn’t matter right now, we need to get Lucifer up to speed on the world language,” Sia said.
“That right but where would be a good spot to teach him,” Luna asked.
“A library sounds like the perfect place and beside Lucifer already started picking up the language,” Sia said pointing to Lucifer who was threatening a pervert that got to close to Luna.
“When can we take him out without him causing problems?” Luna just sighed.
“It been eight hundred years since he was last out but at least we don’t have to worry about anyone recognizing him,” Sia said with a small laugh.

After chasing away the crowd Sia and Luna dragged Lucifer away while teaching him basic word for thing around him. Quickly Lucifer began to master the language outside of the written language of course. They made it the location of the library after asking for few directions only to be stopped at the door.
On both side of the door is a pair of guard’s station their blocking the way with their spears.
“Why are you blocking the way?” Luna asked politely.
“It one of the laws of the town. No women inside the library,” The middle age guard said nicely.
“Why,” Sia asked.
“It said that great-grandfather of the Griffin family was killed by a beautiful woman hundred and twenty years ago. After that event, his grandfather began banning thing that women can do in his territory but recently his grandson been undoing most of the laws but has yet to change this one.” The guard stated.
When the guard said that both Lucifer and Sia looked at Luna who most likely the cause. When receiving the stare Luna blushed a little from feeling embarrassed. When the guard looked at them he slightly chuckled.
“If you go to the university library you may enter you have to be a student and today happens that today the enrollment exam,” He said.
“What do we need to enter the exam,” Lucifer asked.
“five gold coins per person,” The guard said.
“May we know the direction there,” Luna asked.
“Head toward the west mountain and along the way you will spot signs pointing the way,” the guard said.
“Thanks,” They said before they left.
“What a weird bunch not knowing any of the rules here,” The guards said.
“Maybe they are from outside the territory and just arrived today,” the other guard said.

“Must be, but those girls sure were cute,”
“They looked to be little older than your daughter from the look of it,” the other guard laughed.
“It fine to look through,” he mumbled.
“What fine to look at, dear” a woman appeared next to the middle-aged guard.
“The sky so nice to look at, anyways what brought you here,” He asked nervously.
“I brought you lunch, also were going to continue this when you return home,” She said before giving him a bag and walked off.
The guard next to him laughed at his misfortune but as they were laughing Luna and Sia were quickly teaching Lucifer the alphabet in order for him to have a chance to pass. After learning this he began wondering why they were still taking part in the exam.
“Why are we still going there if I already learned the language,” Lucifer asked.
“Two reasons, one being able to access the library and learn what happens in the last eight hundred years, the other because why not,” Sia said.
Seeing that these two made up their mind Lucifer just followed them on their whims. The three of them manage to discover the university by following the signs that were hung up on the roadside. Outside the gate was maybe few hundred wanting to take the exam all looking eighteen to thirty. Most of them looked thin from lack of nutrition while there were few exceptions as they well off.
When the trio approached more eyes began to focus on them causing some of them to drool from both genders. Seeing their reaction to them Luna and Sia felt repulsed as all the guys had a strange reaction to them as they charge forward to introduce themselves to their status. As for Lucifer, he met with death stares from the guys as he walked near them and all the girls were waiting or a chance to jump him.
“This seems bad,” one of the organizers said as he watches them swam the trio.
“Are those three wanting to take an entrance exam?” an older man said as he watched.
“Must be but are they famous?” a young man waving a fan said.
“As far as I know they aren’t,” the older man said.
“What should we do as they are blocking the path,” the young one asked.
“Send out the security and have them sort it out,” the older man said as he exited.
“As you wish dean,” the young man said.

The Adventures of Alan

As a professor of physics, he has a decent understanding of how the world works, or so he likes to think. Armed only with his knowledge, Alan is thrown into a world very different from his own. In his new reality, he will meet both friends and foe, he will seek knowledge, he will build power, and perhaps he will even find love again? Follow Alan through his adventures, and find out for yourselves how he deals with the challenges thrown at him by a new world, while struggling with the issues brought with him from his old one. * Author’s note: A fair warning. This is the first time I’ve published anything, and basically the first time I’ve written anything more than mandatory school-stuff. The story will probably have inconsistencies, grammatical errors (not my native tongue, though that excuse is getting old), and potentially confusing (missing?) plot. I will naturally do my best to write something worth reading, but my main goal in writing this story is to have fun and explore the limits of my own creativity. My hope in publishing it here, is that I’ll reach someone who enjoy the story, and can push me forward towards writing more, as it is difficult at times to find the motivation to write just for myself. Additionally, I can’t really promise to have regular updates, as I have a full-time job that often likes to take the ‘full-time’ part literally, and a sporadic social life that occasionally surprises me (happy surprises mostly, so I shouldn’t complain). I’ll aim for once a week to start with, and take it from there. Happy reading! Cover photo by Jeff Hire (/photographer/gun4hire-58415), from https://freeimages.com/.

The Arcanist Seer
An eye of which sees everything beyond the skies and heavens saw an embodying fate with reek of blood and greed. He who sees the future and yet is restrained by his own shackles of his destiny. An eye that serves a purpose but nothing in exchange for his freedom. Will he remain as a tool of his adversary or escape from his own shackles of fate? This is a story of two old men trying to free from the shackle of their destiny set in a future only to await their impending doom. This is a story of a dead god, and of a storyteller, trying to break from the bonds of the past. And as their stories go, one of them will face the events that unfold in their distant past, as the other one will unveil its mystery predicted by its future. Is it a mistake to challenge fate, after all? *** The world-building is set upon on the universal scale, with dungeon and old-style fantasy. It has a progression that follows with the consistency of a dungeon setting, although it's not what you call a dungeon, but a function of a crystal. There's a lot to take in this novel, but that's all within my intention. I have always enjoyed challenging conventional ideas. The cover is not mine, it's just temporary.

The Hunt
Cecily's blade swung, hitting its mark as always. The man's arm fell to the cold grass of the prison with a familiar thud. He let out a blood curdling scream. A warning to the rest. Stay away, the Hunter is here. That's the name they'd given her, the Hunter. After she cut off the man who tried to rape hers masculinity, they stayed away. She'd made it clear anyone who tried to touch her would be hunted and slaughtered. Cecily kneeled down, pushing the man's face into the dirt so she could use his back as a seat while she trifled through his belongings. "You're hurting my ears," she told him, no remorse in her voice. "Quiet down before I really do kill you."The man but his lip, well aware that she wasn't lying. Sobs shook him, making for an uncomfortable seat. She, however, didn't particularly feel the beed to kill him. It happened, not often, but it did. "Oh, hush up," she hissed, taking out a bag of rations with her metal hand, "it doesn't hurt that bad."With her good, human hand, she dropped the plastic bag of food into her own bag. She pushed up, off the man back. As she was about to walk away, bag slung over her shoulder, brushing against her autumn colored braid, she turned back to him. "Consider yourself lucky," she said, no hatred in her voice, there never was. "Consider yourself lucky that you didn't do anything stupid. And even luckier if one of the scum bagged criminals in here feel a little light in their hearts and help you. Consider yourself luckier if you die there."With that, her old black and white Nike sneakers carried her off into the brush of the huge prison.
