On the island, the sun could be seen but was slightly cloudy, and the temperature felt pretty nice with the slight breeze. Forty-six children could be seen scattered around the outer ring of the island madly hunting demon beasts hoping to complete their task quickly.

“Ahhh”

A young ‘manly’ scream echoed as a boy around twelve was surrounded by a pack of silver wolves that were peak houtian realm. The boy quickly shattered his talisman as he was only late houtian realm and couldn’t hope to match twelve wolves.

The more time that progress more began to withdraw from the last trial. Seeing that going solo wasn’t working some began to group up. Up in the sky, the cultivator watching this nodded in approval as they know working solo was not always the best option.

While the others were, busy grouping up Lucifer group was busy battling the Ouroboros. The Ouroboros has the length of forty meters as it only in its infant stage but its cultivation was already at mid xiantian realm.

While the Lucifer’s groups stared at the Ouroboros also stared back. This staring contest lasted few seconds before the snake decided to make the first strike. The snake quickly coiled itself up and launched itself like a spring.

“Incoming,” Lucifer shouted quickly rolling to the side while the girls in the other direction.

The Ouroboros slide pass between the three by few inches leading to small cuts from the wind to appear on their bodies. Seeing that it has missed it target the snake quickly got into position to launch again.

“Careful it getting ready to launch again,” Lucifer shouted.

Right after the word left his mouth the ouroboros launched once again but with more power than last time. Seeing that it was heading toward him Lucifer straight brought out his heavy sword and smack the snake near the center of the body.

“Screech”

The Ouroboros roared out in pain as Lucifer hit sent vibration throughout its body causing it energy and blood circulation to stumbled and almost reverse. The one hit wasn’t enough to kill it but would require few weeks’ time to recover to its peak.

Seeing that it didn’t stand a chance at killing the trio the snake decided t would be best to retreat but how the trio allows this.

“Sia get ready, Luna helps me stop it from leaving,” Lucifer shouted.

Luna quickly grabbed her sword and rushed to the other side of the Ouroboros. Upon seeing that the three humans won’t let it leave easily it became enraged that its eyes began to glow.

“Don’t look into its eyes,” Sia shouted as she finished the contract.

The glow in the ouroboros eyes meant it was trying to petrify them, so it could find a chance to escape. Seeing that the snake wanted to petrify them Lucifer quickly raised his heavy sword to block the eye but his sword had a reaction.

Lucifer sword began to devour the power behind the gaze. The reaction caught the attention of everyone present wondering what going on when a message pops up:

“Devouring Heavy Sword has devoured petrified gaze. Petrified gaze can’t digest correctly so adding the ability to ‘Devouring Heavy Sword’.”

‘Now that awesome’ Lucifer thought as his sword can upgrade itself.

Seeing that it petrifies gaze had no effect the young ouroboros could handle the mental shock as it never failed before in its lifetime. Seeing that this was the best time to strike Sia quickly shouted:

“Ouroboros accept my contract and become my beast companion,” and the ouroboros symbol slowly formed on the back of her hand.

Seeing that the ouroboros slowly accepted the contract the body began shining brightly. When the bright light faded, the ouroboros body seems to disappear causing Luna to panic thinking it ran away. Seeing the panic face of Luna, Sia gave a small laugh as she called out the ouroboros behind her.

“Relax, the Ouroboros is simple living inside the symbol on her hand,” Lucifer said.

“So, what are you going to name it?” Lucifer asked Sia.

“I think Lily would be a good name,” Sa replied simply.

“Lily, what a great name,” Luna said.

“Let go to its lair it might have good stuff to collect,” Lucifer said.

Sia, who contracted the ouroboros, leads the way a few miles before they came across cave at the base of the volcano. The closer they drew to the volcano Lucifer began noticing concealment array around the entrance ahead.

“Here it is,” Sia said as she stopped in front of a boulder.

“There nothing here though,” Luna said looking around.

“It just a concealment array,” Lucifer said as he stomps the ground shattering the concealment array. The way Lucifer destroyed the array has stunned Sia, as she heard masters of years to single but the boy in front of her did it in less than a second.

The boulder vanished showing that there a cave entrance that leads underground. The three of them walk down into the cave but soon the temperature began raising to an insane degree of around hundred sixty degrees.

The three reach few hundred meters underground when they arrived at the entrance to a palace built underground. Around the entrance of the palace, snake statues could be seen where along with few arrays of illusions.

“Proceed with care as there are traps laying around especially around more important treasure,” Sia said as she leads the way into the palace.

The inside of the palace had golden columns while a green and durable metal made up the floor. The first room looked to be around hundred meters in diameter with few paintings and treasure on display. The trio decided to keep looking without touching and noticed some perfect mortal grade weapons causing Luna and Sia eyes to glow. Lucifer kept looking around as the weapon didn’t really matter to him as his sword and body were his weapons.

The trio soon came to the throne room which didn’t have anything special to offer so they headed toward the treasure vault. The inside of the treasure vault everyone as there appeared to be mountains of gold coins with millions. but what got was the two middle immortal grade.

One of the swords had a long red blade with a small amount of flames coming from it. The handle had an eyeball with a red iris in the center with a red branch coming out of it. While looking at it Lucifer thought it was perfect for Luna but quickly hid it from her as it was asking for death if she had it now.

The weapon next was a trident with a light blue glow to it along with rare ocean metal only found in the immortal realm. The trident looked to be few feet long but since no one in their group uses this type of weapon. He decided to reforge it into something useful later when his cultivation raised high enough.

“We’re rich,” Luna said, and Sia had a small smile.

“I hate to break it to you two but most of the gold here only an illusion,” Lucifer said snapping his finger and the gold coin shrunk down to about three million in gold coins.

Seeing that most of the gold coins disappear left Luna and Sia in disappointment but they quickly got over it as they found other treasure such as origin talisman, equipment and thousands of beast cores and eighty origin demon cores. Seeing that they didn’t need to go hunting demon beast for the cores the trio decided to stay in the palace to train while they wait for the trail to end.

A week went by in a flash since they started living in the palace and Sia completely sync with ouroboros allowing her to cultivate four times faster and step into the late xiantian realm.Behind her was Lucifer and Luna, as both stepped into mid and quickly progression as the amount of Qi in the air, allowed them to progress much faster.

Seeing that they all broke through they all decided to stay at their current realm for a week to adjust to its powers. The trio didn’t really need a week to adjust to the new level as it was a small leap up in their realm. The reason they did was that they wanted to purify their energy more.

Lucifer was exploring the mystery of arrays and decided to start over from scratch as he wanted his own understanding instead of relying on the deity memories. Luna and Sia were either sparring or talking about different things while they played chess.

Seeing that the two girls were playing chess Lucifer walked over to them. He ran into a bottleneck of sorts exploring the mystery of array, so he decided to wait a while before he continued. Lucifer wasn’t in a rush to unlock the mystery as he will have lots of time in the future to explore.

“Lucifer, we got a question,” Luna asked suddenly.

“I might have the answer but depend on the question,” Lucifer replied.

“When we break through to xiantian realm we can live to around five hundred years. So, will our bodies so are we going to look like kids forever?” Luna asked.

“We are going continuing to grow but it will stop when we look around eighteen, give or take,” Lucifer replied causing Sia and Luna to sigh in relief.

“Well, it is going to take few hundred years to reach there,” Lucifer said causing them to slump down.

“Is there anyway so we don’t need to wait that long? Sia asked.

“If we pass the first heavenly tribulation it will age out bodies up so it can contain out energy,” Lucifer said causing their eyes to glow.

“We're going to practice,” the two said quickly before they disappeared.

“What the rush to grow up faster,” Lucifer thought as he decided to practice also since there not much else to do.
