《(OLD)Play On! My Lovely Goddess!》Chapter 11: Secret Admirer!

Several days have passed since Cheng Yu’s public apology. The news had almost completely died out. Li Rou continued to practice her singing at the same location every day. Recently, she was in a good mood as she had not seen Cheng Yu since then.
...
“Everything I’ve said will be tested next week. That’s all for today.”
As the lesson ended, the professor proceeded to wipe the blackboard as students poured out of the lecture theatre.
The professor’s name was Zheng Wei. Professor Zheng Wei was a relatively handsome twenty-six-year-old teacher with multiple titles and awards under his name. At such an early age, he had already obtained numerous achievements, this allowed him to be titled as a professor.
Despite his prestige and accomplishments, he placed greater importance on educating students instead of carrying out research projects like his colleagues. As a result, he was highly popular with the students and was their role model for success.
Recently, Professor Zheng Wei frequently did his work in a classroom and even took his breaks there.
This all started when he noticed that nobody in class sat next to the girl every lesson.
When Professor Zheng Wei asked several students for the name of the mysterious gal, they all called her Sadako from ‘The Ring’. Professor Zheng Wei was alarmed at how frivolously they would name-call a student and immediately reprimanded them.
Professor Zheng Wei was afraid that ‘Sadako’ was a victim of bullying given how her other classmates were treating her.
Ever since Cheng Yu pulled that stunt at the school’s entrance, Professor Zheng Wei decided to keep his eye on her in fear of the bullying intensifying. At the end of every lesson, he would secretly tail ‘Sadako’ when she left the classroom to ensure she was safe from harm. The girl he had been tailing was Li Rou.

During his first time tailing Li Rou, Professor Zheng Wei found himself in front of the gloomy classroom. As he was about to open the door to offer Li Rou guidance counseling, he heard a beautiful voice that moved his heart. As he listened to Li Rou’s singing, he soon found himself completely mesmerized by her soft and mellow vocals.
Only when Li Rou stopped singing, did he quickly came to his senses and left the scene.
Ever since then, he often occupied the classroom below. As the soundproof padding was peeling off and the poor choice of location for a music room, Professor Zheng Wei could easily hear her singing from the windows.
Professor Zheng Wei could be said to be Li Rou’s first fan and her secret admirer.
“Such an amazing voice, it’s a complete waste of her talent for her to be enrolled in Tsinghua University instead of the Central Conservatory of Music!” Professor Zheng Wei regretfully thought to himself.
Suddenly on one of the days he was eavesdropping on Li Rou’s singing, he came up with a brilliant idea that would at least boost Li Rou’s popularity and hopefully force the Central Conservatory of Music’s talent scouts to acknowledge her.
…
The next day, he quietly left a recorder in the old music room recording for the entire day.
When he obtained the recording, he edited everything, leaving only Li Rou’s singing in perfect clarity and uploaded it online on to Weibo. Being a young and outstanding Professor, he naturally had a decent sized following. Furthermore, as this song did not exist at this point in time yet, people thought the singer to be extremely talent in composing music and writing lyrics. As people shared the audio clip, it quickly became viral online. The audio clip soon gained several million plays on Weibo and was at the top in trending.

Li Rou’s phone vibrated as she received a notification from the system. She immediately took out her phone and was surprised by the sudden landslide of points she had gained.
“What the f*ck happened?” Li Rou thought to herself while scratching her head, wondering if she had done anything to gain the public’s attention recently.
Nothing came to her mind. Nevertheless, she happily smiled at the increase in point she had gotten for no reason.
