Chapter 15- Hide and Seek
“Lara…” Luce called out softly, blue eyes searching frantically for the blonde girl. He tiptoed quietly, trying his hardest to not make any sound. Lara was hiding from him somewhere in this house and the only thing left for him to do was find her.
“I give up. I can’t find you.” Luce huffed and whined childishly. Suddenly he could hear laughter nearby. It was a soft, quiet laughter, but somehow that made Luce’s hair stand on end at attention, he shivered nervously. The emptiness of the house made even more apparent by the absence of his Lara.
“This isn’t funny Lara. I’m not playing anymore.” He pouted. Eyes searching frantically, making sure, no scary monster would sneak up behind him.
“Who said we were playing.” Came a strangely quiet voice.
“Is that you Lara?” called out Luce, nervously. Afraid to turn around and see who's behind him.
Luce jumped in fright as he felt two slender white arms, coiled behind him, preventing from moving. He thrashed wildly, trying to get out of this stranger’s vice like grip on his body.
“Hahahaha!” giggled Lara softly behind Luce, she licked the shell of Luce’s ears playfully and Luce couldn’t help but moan as he felt her soft tongue on his sensitive skin.
“You scared me.” Luce complained, he stopped struggling and instead relaxed in Lara’s comforting embrace.
Lara nibbled softly on the back of his neck.
“Sorry.” She mumbled against his jaw line, as she peppered chaste kisses all over his neck.
“But you’re the one who said, you were bored.”
Luce didn’t answer Lara, as he was too distracted by her ministration. Unconsciously, Luce tilted his neck to the side, giving Lara more access and more area to work on.

“You seem to be enjoying yourself, little Luce.” Teased Lara.
“I am not.” He huffed indignantly, as he tried to pull away from Lara’s constricting arms. Lara simply laughed at his childish action and tightened her hold on him, preventing him from extracting himself from her affection.
Seeing that he couldn’t get away from his captor, he shuffled, wanting to face her, Lara merely smiled and gave him room to manoeuvre his petite body.
Luce narrowed his blue eyes, Lara simply kissed his forehead and her forehead against his.
“You’re mean Lara. You always tease me all the time. I thought I was your favourite person.” He accused, his lips curl into a frown.
Lara simply melted inside at his childlike reasoning and laugh quietly.
“Awww, little one, but you are my favourite person!” she replied, pressing her body against him tightly, while pinning him to a nearby wall.
He turned his head away from her, and fixed his eyes on the ceiling.
Lara simply shook her head lightly and sighed and snuggled against his chest.
“What can I do, to make you forgive me?” Lara whispered.
“I’m hungry and I want something that tastes good!” replied Luce, eyeing the area between her neck and collarbone.
“Sure little one. What do you want to eat?” asked Lara.
Luce gave an impish smile, before diving in, his two fangs showed themselves before burying themselves in Lara’s sensual flesh.
Lara screamed in surprise, she didn’t expect that to happen. She writhed and struggled to get away from her vampire lover, but she couldn’t move, his two arms tightening, bringing her body closer to his.
She arched her back, as she felt him feeding on her.
“This can’t be happening!” she whispered, slightly scared at the sudden predicament she found herself into. ‘This has never happened before.” She thought.

She couldn’t but moan at how good it felt, when Luce keeps extracting her blood.
“Why does this feel so good!” she keened softly. She could feel the wetness beginning to pool from between her legs. ‘I shouldn’t be turned on by this.’
Suddenly, Luce body stiffened. Lara opened her eyes, surprise that she didn’t notice that she had them close the whole time. Luce slowly extracted his mouth from her neck, a string of bloodied saliva could seen trailing from his red lips to her neck.
His eyes now deep red as he stared at her in terror. His red orbs, look fearful and confuse, he backed away softly from Lara. Head bowed in shame, he turned away from her.
“I-…. I’m.. I’m sorry.” He whispered softly, as he disappeared from her sight.
Lara couldn’t react in time, still feeling dazed from what just happened a moment ago.
“LUCE!” she called out, but it was already too late. She wanted to tell him that it was okay, that she was fine and that she still loves him and she really didn’t care if he drank her blood, but he was gone and she wasn’t sure if she’ll be able to see him again.
She suddenly felt weak and her knees gave away as she fell crumpled on the floor; crying.

Another great war awaits, but will she be able to avert it?Second iteration of the Knight's Fate saga chronologically speaking. Yes I'm starting from the second because the first was an utter failure when I tried to write it, it just didn't fit the mood of a fantasy novel unlike this one. Though don't worry this doesn't mean you can't enjoy this one before I write the first. This is the first story I've actually published so I appreciate any feedback, be it good or bad just let me know what you think.
