《So What If The World Is About To End? I Have Side Quests To Finish!》Chapter 14: Bad To Worse

"So..." Yvette was hesitant to meet with Miles' eyes. They had just finished having their talk.
"Yes?" Miles took a deep breath, worried for even if they hadn't been well acquainted for long, he had been keeping his real abilities a secret for that time.
"You know about it, don't you..? You saw… Didn't you..?" Yvette spoke shakily.
"Uh, what?" Miles was thrown for a loop. "Wait," his expression was that of clear confusion as he asked, "are you ashamed that I saw your transformation?"
Yvette's subconscious act of flinching and shrinking in on herself answered him more than any of her words would have. Now, she didn't even dare look in his general direction…
"Look," Miles gently placed a hand on her shoulder, causing her to flinch again. "I don't know why you're so self conscious about that form, but I at least don't mind it."
"Sure," Miles snorted, "ignorant fools might mistake you for a monster after adopting less human-looking features or whatever. But I understand— No, I know for a fact you're just as human as I or anyone else at the town." Gently shaking her, Miles waited for her to look at him in the eyes before he said, "You underwent the Class Awakening Ritual with me, right?"
Yvette shook and looked at Miles as if to beg the question, "How?"
Miles withdrew his hand as he said, "You weren't exactly near me down the line of people awakening their Class, but it wasn't hard to spot you with the commotion you caused. In fact, now that I think about it..." Miles asked, "That form is probably the reason Moonshot Archers are thought to be 'evil' and 'negative' or whatever else Harrold was talking about back at the Guild Hall, isn't it?"

Yvette cringed.
"Hmm," Miles shook his head, "Looks like we're going to have to work on getting you to accept your abilities… later. For now, we should worry about getting out of here and planning our next move."
Yvette regarded the matter seriously. She understood where Miles was coming from; his concerns. Though now that she knew how he felt about her ability to become a Selenaut…
"Say," Yvette started, "I know you planned on getting us out of the Dungeon by buying things through your System Shop thing to disguise our escape. But… I mean, we could, um..."
"What?"
"Tower Transference… Since we were already planning on taking on the EX Boss of the Dungeon, we could leave through Tower Transference."
[New Quest Alert]
'Why am I not surprised?' Miles palmed his face.
[Quests:
Main Quest 2: Prepare For Trouble And Make It Double.
Description: You want to escape the Dungeon unnoticed, in the most insane manner possible? Of course you do! Just enter the Dungeon Core Chamber, clear it completely, and forget about lowering your guard; you're just getting started. After that, take the Tower Transference Array at the Core of the Dungeon and from there, well… Just pray your streak of bad luck ends before you reach that point.
Rewards: Depends on the Divine Tower transferred to and completion rate of its raid.]
"Well..." Miles nervously laughed, "We're in an F Ranked Dungeon, so even if we did take the nuclear option, it's not like there'd even be a chance of being sent to a high Ranked Divine Tower."
"We'd probably get sent to a nearby E or D Ranked Divine Tower," Yvette commented as a single bead of sweat rolled down the side of her face.
"Or… we could get sent to the C Ranked Divine Tower that just so happened to have materialized a week ago, less than ten kilometers away from this Dungeon," Miles said.

Yvette sighed and was about to call off her suggestion for being too dangerous, when the totality of her demeanor changed. Before Miles could react, Yvette had withdrawn her bow and shot four arrows around him.
B-B-B-Boom!
The solemnity in Yvette's eyes combined with the new, screaming voices he heard were all Miles needed to know that they had company.
"Nope, nope, nope," Miles began to chant as he sprinted past Yvette and beckoned her to follow. He had spotted a famous B Ranked Phenom Mage charging up a horrifyingly potent Light-type Magic Crest and decided then and there that he and Yvette would be infinitely better off trying their luck against being sent to a C Ranked DIvine Tower than turning back now.
Fortunately, they were already right next to the Dungeon Core Chamber and of all the B Ranked enemies they could have encountered they had the luck of meeting one with poor Agility. Before the Phenom Mage could finish putting together his spell, Miles and Yvette had already entered the Core Chamber.
Then, as Yvette provided relentless supporting fire from her arrows at a group of bounty hunters, Miles sprinted with his greatest speed to challenge the Dungeon Core. The moment he reached the center of the room, he galvanized the Dungeon Maintenance Array and the Dungeon Core closed off to the rest of the world just in time to cut off the majority of the Phenom Mage's Dendrite Constriction Spell.
Alas, the very tip of the Spell made it past the Core Chamber's entrance before it was closed off and even though it must have had a fraction of a percent of the full Spell's potency, when it hit Yvette, wounds immediately exploded all around the areas where the Magical Light made contact and splattered her blood everywhere in branching crystalline fashion.
"For fuck's sake..." Miles cursed as three distinct squads of Shadow Soldiers, Shadow Shamans, and Shadow Cats instantly materialized and surrounded them. Miles had to physically resist the urge to lash out in indiscriminate rage as he found Yvette lying unresponsive on the floor.

Not only had they not fully recovered from Harrold's ambush, but now he was being forced to solo the Dungeon Core; the Boss and EX Boss, too, probably…

A chance to be able to live again and live life to the fullest, unrestricted by the morals and ethics of his previous world. How will this man live his new life? This is an isekai story like many others that have been told before. TLDR: Cliche Isekai story This is the first story I ever made/wrote, I decided to try it out in the spur of the moment. I'm hoping to have fun with this, don't expect anything of quality in my writing. This story will be more of a wish-fulfillment so do not expect any intricate storyline and plot twist as I'm basically just chilling and writing w/e I'm in the mood to. Sanguis
In a world inhabited by vampires, various factions are vying for dominance, whether through wars or grueling tournaments. In the midst of the conflict, two unsuspecting humans become caught in the battle. Note: My first story on here, I wanted to try writing a story with battles and leveling up, the kind of story where a character starts at the bottom and world their way up. I hope this story is a good chance to see what works and try out a few different ideas I’ve had.
