《Legacy of the Ancient》Chapter 36 - Fe

“Now, what do I owe you for your visit, Miss Fe?” asked Algas. He looked at Fe with lecherous eyes.
Fe wore a tight corset underneath her unbuttoned sleeveless coat. Her cleavage became Algas’s eyes feast.
“Stop looking at me like that, that’s disgusting, you know?” even though Fe said that, she smiled. Then, she looked at the pillar where Cain hid. “Besides, there’s still someone here.”
“(Crap!)”
“What? Where??” Algas looked around.
“Hmm… nevermind, just my imagination,” said Fe.
“(That was close!)” thought Cain. He blended with pillar’s shade with Abyss Lurker. “(Now I remember, that woman is the one I saw at Master Aslein’s place!)”
Fe crossed her arms on her chest. “Progress?” she asked.
“Ah, it’s going smoothly, what about the others?” Algas replied.
“Not really good, we’ve lost control over Farferis.”
“I heard that, too bad, huh? Well, I have no expectation from that weak king to begin with, who’s his name? Termura or something,” said Algas.
“Indeed, and by the looks of it, the new King of Farferis couldn't be influenced by us,” said Fe.
“And the worst news is they become a slave-free kingdom, what a joke, I used to buy their bed slaves, ooh, their bed slaves were excellent goods!” said Algas.
“Krevias is also a slave-free kingdom, yet you bought slaves from them. Oh, how ironic the ruler of this kingdom is,” scoffed Fe.
“Not your business, woman!” Algas was a bit annoyed.
Fe scoffed at Algas. “Well, Arozora is no go, our plan to weaken that Kingdom has failed, and our spy is sniffed out by Kingsmight. It’s impossible for now,” said Fe.
“Hrrm… that fuckin’ Iligo is too damn strong!” exclaimed Algas.
“(What is this? What are they talking about? Arozora? Farferis? Is this some kind of scheme? Spy? in Arozora? Does she mean the one that Ivela mentioned?)” Cain listened at them from the shadow.
“Then? What are you going to do?” asked Algas.
“Nothing, just continue the plan.”
“Don’t take it too long, otherwise I wouldn't be able to enjoy the fruit!” said Algas.
“A scheme needs a perfect plan, a carefully prepared preparation and a flawless execution. Rushing it is only stupidity,” said Fe, “you should’ve learned how we handle things by now.” Fe smiled lightly.
“Tch, whatever! As long as I’m on the winning side,” responded Algas.
“You’re, old man. Just don't forget where your loyalty is when all of this ends,” said Fe as she left Algas.
She walked to the entrance, but after she walked past all the pillars, she stopped. She looked at one pillar. Then she walked towards it. She touched the pillar while looking around.
“Something’s wrong?” shouted Algas from afar.
“... Nothing,” said Fe, then she left the pillar, she walked through the water layer. Her clothes were still dry even though she just walked through the water.

Then, Algas also walked to the entrance. “Just you see, Fe, I’ll have my way with you one day! Heheh!” he talked to himself as he walked through the water.
The room was silent for a few seconds.
“Ahhhh!” Cain emerged from the shadow, he was panting, he held his breath when Fe was checking the pillar.
“I have to get out from here!”
After Cain found Beil, he carefully made his way out from the temple.
Krevias Hunter Guild.
Cain sat at the bar, then he asked the waitress for a cold drink. He looked around, Ziraf’s group wasn't here. He also looked out for the Water Saint, or any of his subordinates in that bar. He became a bit wary of his surrounding.
“What have I stumbled upon? They’re clearly planning something, and I get the feeling it’s not a good one,” mumbled Cain.
“Meip?”
“Don't worry, Beil,” said Cain. He drank his drink. “They certainly have tried something at Arozora and Farferis… and who’s that woman called Fe? That woman acted like she has a higher stance than that Water Saint, that means she’s a hotshot. Also, she was in Farferis when we took the throne. And how that Water Saint called Algas talked about Igo, he doesn't seem to like Igo, even though Igo helped Krevias in the war with Jarvagr Continent? Ugh, this is confusing! But more importantly, just like Ziraf said, that Water Saint Tirkogara has no intention to put me on the wanted list as his subordinates hid the truth. But, chances are he’s still looking for me to settle the score.”
“Hmm…” Cain leaned on the chair, “I should write to Arozora and Farferis, let them know what I’ve learned today. And perhaps, leave Krevias and continue my journey? It becomes uncomfortable knowing someone here has a grudge on me. Also, I don't want to get involved with this Kingdom’s scheme and its problem. If it’s a real problem, I’m sure the old man and Calbot can handle it. I’ll just let them know beforehand.”
That night, Cain wrote three letters, one for Jared, and the other two for Ivela and Aunt Germi. Cain slipped half of his diamonds inside the letter for Aunt Germi.
“Should I write other than that information for Ivela?” Cain scratched his head, “hmm, I’ll just ask how she’s doing, and… maybe more.”
In the morning, after he dropped the letters to the letter delivery service, he went to Bivili Market. He carried his bag on his left cloak-covered shoulder.
He entered the shop where he bought the potion-brewing tools from. The fragrance of herbs extract greeted him. He walked straight to one of the three shop clerks.
“Welcome! What can I help you with?” said the shop clerk, she was a girl, looked younger than Cain. She was a different clerk from the one who served Cain the last time he was here.

“Hmm, I want to ask first,” said Cain, he looked at the bowl of steel near the shop clerk, where the fragrance came from.
“Are they Reud and Chirad herbs? The fragrance comes from the combination of those herbs, right?” asked Cain.
“You’re right. Sir Ghimo, the owner of this shop loves those herbs fragrance.”
“I see,” said Cain. He took out a small plastic cylinder from his waist bag. “Here,” Cain gave the cylinder to the shop clerk.
“Give that ointment to him, that should does him good in the legs,” said Cain.
“Ointment?” the shop clerk was puzzled.
“Uh-huh, his legs are hurt, right? I know he got that injury recently, that new cane of his gives it away.”
“... True, he fell from the stairs a week ago,” the shop clerk looked at the cylinder, “but I can’t give this to him, he’s allergic to basic ingredients of pain reliever ointment.”
“I know what he’s allergic to; Pompum herbs. People who are allergic to Pompun herbs tend to find Reud and Chirad herbs fragrance is soothing more than the other aromatic herbs. And that ointment, has zero Pompum herbs,” explained Cain.
The shop clerk was stupefied by Cain’s explanation.
“Who are you, Sir?” she finally opened her mouth after a moment of silence.
“I’m… a Hunter,” Cain replied.
“That can’t do, you don't expect me to say to Sir Ghimo this is from a stranger, do you?” responded the clerk.
“Hmm… fair enough, just tell him it’s a thanks from a wandering Hunter whom he helped to choose the potion-brewing tools a couple of days ago, name's Cain,” said Cain.
“Ahh, alright then. Thank you, Sir Hunter,” she bowed to Cain.
Cain just nodded then left the shop.
What he gave was one of Gomara’s ointments, Cain made that with the leftover ingredients when he made the Poison Reserver potion. And the knowledge about Reud and Chirad herbs being more soothing to people who were allergic to Pompum was actually Gomara’s discovery, it wasn't known to the world. But Cain did not know this, as he only knew a little bit of basic knowledge about alchemy. Unfortunately, Gomara did not write the common knowledge on his book. So, everything what Cain knew about alchemy from the book was actually knowledge that even this era had not discovered yet, and knowledge that had been lost for ages.
Before he left Bivili Market, Cain bought some skewered fish meatballs and packed them in his bag. Then he went to the Hunter Guild, he met Ziraf’s group there.
“Hi guys,” greeted Cain.
“Yoo, Cain, What’s with the stuff?” asked Vigel.
“I’m going to continue my journey,” said Cain in answer.
“For real?” Trom was a bit surprised.
“Yeah, I come here to say goodbye to you guys,” said Cain.
“I see, good luck, Cain,” said Trom.
“Be careful out there, eh, rookie Hunter,” said Ziraf.
“Thanks for all your help, Ziraf, you’re a good man.” Cain shook hands with Ziraf.
“Good bye, Cain!” said Hoffa as she petted Beil. Cain nodded in answer.
Cain shook hands with Yudey, he just smiled at Cain.
“Heh, goodbye, Grass,” sneered Rollei, “too bad you missed the opportunity to see my trick!”
“Pff! He’s already sick of it, Rollei!” said Vigel, “by trick you mean your rant, isn't it?” he continued.
“Oh please, my rant won't be the only one that’ll slap you in the face, Vigel,” Rollei replied.
Cain laughed lightly. “You know, besides being a ridiculous comedian duo, you both are so perfect to be a couple.”
“Oooooo! Damn! Someone finally said it!~” Trom looked so amused by Cain’s remark.
“The heck, Cain!? Really? With this blockhead? Never!” exclaimed Rollei.
“Yea, never with this not ladylike woman!” said Vigel.
“Just kiss already, you two,” said Ziraf while laughing.
“For real, Boss!? You’re in this too!?” said Vigel.
“Why am I being surrounded by weird people like you guys?” Rollei shook her head.
Hoffa and Trom just laughed at them, while Yudey looked like he was trying to hold back his laughter.
“Where are you going, Cain?” asked Ziraf.
“South west. I’ll go to Trako Town, I’m gonna see this Grock Bay, then I’ll cross the border to Ezilai Kingdom, maybe I’ll try to take one or two Hunter quests there,” Cain laughed.
“You should!” responded Ziraf.
“Okay then, bye guys,” said Cain.
“Stay on Goddess’s grace, Cain,” said Ziraf.
Cain nodded while smiling.
He left Havelvaih right away. After he walked a bit far from the lake, he turned around and looked over the Olrenea gis neus.
“Even without the sunset or the glowing, they really would love to see this lake…” said Cain as he munched the fish meatballs.
“Hmm…” Cain looked around, then he walked to a lone tree in the steppe. He sat down in the tree’s shade, he took out Higa’s book. He drew the lake with the city as best he could. Beil sat near him, he seemed to be enjoying the scenery.
After about thirty minutes, Cain was done with the drawing. It was not beautiful nor ugly drawing, it was just mediocre.
“Well… I did my best, Higa,” said Cain.
He sighed, then he looked over the scenery of Kuni Steppe for a while.
“Too bad I don't have the chance to investigate the Dragon Tyrant Rex,” he looked over the sea of spire in the steppe, “maybe in the future… shall we go, Beil?”
“Meip!”
Cain continued his journey. He set off to Trako, the southwestern town in Krevias border to Ezilai Kingdom. Leaving the Water Saint who was still searching his whereabout.

When It Rains, It Pours
A train of thought compendium.I have them every now and then. Or to be more accurate, they have me. One offs. Shorts. Tales. Parables. Fables. And other weird things. This line has no schedule. No track number. No set destination. Sometimes it's an El. At other times, a space shuttle, taxi, caravan or fast moving treadmill. And every now and then it's a subway passing through underground caverns, littered with cobwebs. These sporadic ideas pop into my head at the weirdest of times. Some end in the middle. Some end with a fizzle. Some end with a bang.

Truck-kun Gets Sacrificed
Driscoll is my own version of a world with a game-like "system" of endless possibilities. MC has his own status, classes, skills, magic, and a living greatswordstaff in a world of monsters, demi-humans of all kinds, and even the supernatural. Sound good? Well, at first for Tru, it was a dream come true(I'm sorry). At least until reality hits him again and again. His quest from God is vague and must be discovered by him along the way. Hopefully, he can figure that out someday but for now, this new world's threats and his potential for power are motivation aplenty. With His new partner by his side, he's ready to embark on his mission of infinite sacrifice, however many lives it takes. The setting is pretty standard for fantasy, with my beginner attempts at writing. Litrpg elements are definitely involved here but It'll calm down as the story progresses and the world's foundation is laid. Judeo/Christian themes and principles take a major role and will be a backbone for much of the story. The fights will paint a picture in the mind rather than just be a bunch of number crunching. While he is meant to be a sacrifice to save all of Driscoll, he needs to gain enough power and influence to be a worthwhile sacrifice, or so he thinks. And so carnage will ensue as he avoids death as best he can while at the same time sacking himself for others. Truck Coon is your average determined, jiu-jitsu practitioner, tax associate that just started his new career. He dies to save kids from a semi-truck(Truck Coon got truck-kun'd, making him Truck-kun) and is transported to another world rather conventionally by God. Upon his arrival, he is quickly confronted with his first conflicts in the wild. Give it a shot and let me know what you think. Chapters are currently between 2300 and 4000 words and I try to post weekly, but also deal with severe limitations that cause late posts often. I have zero actual experience with writing stories and only recently started reading web novels in 2020. If you end up hating it, let me know your thoughts in a detailed comment or review, especially if you love it though :D I want to get better and welcome the feedback, so expect changes to be made with any flaws that y'all point out which I don't already have plans to address in future chapters. That being said, keep it constructive in nature, please. I have no Idea how the formatting and such will go, so if you like or dislike some techniques I try, give me that well-appreciated feedback! Thank you for reading.
