Alice: I found 3 enhancements that fit me. The first is the initiates vampire bloodline.

Based on the Hellsing universe. Gives an increase in physical stats, especially endurance. Allows the user to regenerate faster through the consumption of blood. Does not allow the user to absorb people by drinking all of their blood. This bloodline allows access to blood essence. Any skills related to vampires or blood may be purchased to use with this enhancement. Suitable for the huge improvement of individual survivability.

Alice: I thought as it said it doesn’t let you absorb others it may do so in the future. I think it would blend well with my fighting style as well. Being as my troops staying alive relies on me being alive, improving my regeneration was a good idea.

I agreed so far, but it didn't seem like she was too enthusiastic about this enhancement.

Alice: secondly I found these. They can be purchased in any order to make a complete set.

Basic fire spirit bloodline

I had found sets before, but none of them that would suit me. The increase in stats along with the ability to control spirits fit her. She had shown that she had a talent for leading people.

Alice: lastly I found this enhancement.

1/16 Daimou bloodline.

Based on demon king Diamou. The user gains access to mana. The control of this magical power is very lacking. The size of the mama is only changeable through enhancements. The control over the mana will be initially horrible. This can cause sudden explosions if the mana is not controlled properly. At the cost of rapid consumption of mana the user can awaken their bloodline, making their eyes shine red. In this state control of mana is greatly enhanced. Provided moderate stat increase. Suitable for 1 on 1 mid range combat.

Solomon: all three seem to suit you. It depends on what type of fighter you want to be will affect your decision.

Looking at it, the three enhancements would lead to different fighting styles. The first Hellsing enhancement would lead to a close combat tank style. The second spirit enhancement would lead to a mid- long range backline fighting style. Lastly, the Daimou enhancement would lead to a mid to short range fighter.

Alice: I thought so too. At first, I ruled out the Hellsing enhancement as it is basically a stat increase at this level. Though it let me drink blood to regenerate, that was the only thing I would get other than stats.

It was a logical point. Though it may blend in the future at current there was no way to be sure.

Gareth: that makes sense. There's no pint for it to work in the future if you can't survive with it now.

Alice: right, so that left me with these two. After some though I summarised the benefits of both. The Diamou enhancement would allow me to attack from range. As well as to fight in close combat. For the spirit bloodline, there was less combat potential. Though both had mid range and close combat abilities the spirit bloodline could not be awakened. On the flip side, they came as a set of 4. the likelihood is if I had several of them they would be superior to the Diamou enhancement.

I agreed with all she had said.

Solomon: that’s the choice then. A better upgrade now or later.

Alice: yes, because there was no way to know I just chose my personal preference. I will take the basic earth spirit bloodline.

Overall it was hard to tell which would be better. Personally, I would have gone with the Diamou.

Solomon: alright then. That's settled what about you Gareth?

As I asked him he appeared a little nervous.

Gareth: well I found 4 that interested me. Though I've picked one I'd be open to changing my choice.

Low-level flash speed

Based on the flash. The user's agility, reactions and regeneration are greatly enhanced. This allows them to run at extreme speed. Through the use of momentum, several unique skills can be used. Allows for the use of energy to temporarily increase movement speed greatly. Specialised in extreme speed.

Gareth: I thought the speed would help with scouting. At the moment I am essentially a scout for the team. This enhancement would make me better at it.

It was true he had adopted the position of a scout. With any battle, gaining prior information was crucial. To this end, he scouted for us.

Solomon: that is true, but if it isn't what you want to do you don’t have to.

Gareth: it isn't a matter of want, I am good at it. That is enough reason to progress as a scout.

The bloodline of a demon. It allows the user to blend into shadows. A weak amount of demonic energy is given with this enhancement. This energy is specialised in the use of demonic magics and skills. The user can turn into a demonic form that will make them stronger at the cost of demonic energy. Includes a moderate stat increase. Specialised in the use of stealth magic and skills. Suitable for sneaking around and assassinating targets.

Gareth: it allows me to both fight and carry out scouting. It's an overall increase.

Solomon: it's quite good, it seems similar to the Diamou enhancement from before.

Gareth: it's quite similar, however, it seems to trade of power for the extra abilities. Anyway, another enhancement is this.

Limited Jabberwock implant.

310 point cost

Based on Project ARMS. The user has nanomachines of the Jabberwock implanted into their body, primarily the right arm. All of the abilities except anti ARMS Nano virus are removed. The arms can transform to cover the arms. The Nano virus will prevent the healing of wounds caused by this weapon. This is however only effective to those without energy. Those with energy can repel the virus. As the strength of Jabberwock is low it can not transform the user. Greatly enhances physical abilities. The strength of the user increases with their hate. Suitable for physical combatants.

Gareth: this was the most combat orientated enhancement I found. If I were to get this it would ensure our safety.

Though I thought it would improve our safety I did not think it would be ensured.

Solomon: that's not so. If you were to go up against a fighter with EMP like abilities they could easily defeat you.

From his expression, it was clear he had not thought of this.

Alice: though if that happened you could take care of them. Even with this enhancement, I don't think Gareth could stand up to you.

Though this was true at first if he got a decent item like my arcane orb he would surpass me easily.

Solomon: that may be true at first, but as our enhancement progress his power would exceed mine.

Alice: true.

Gareth: the last enhancement is this.

Tiny portion of Bahamut's legacy.

Based on shingeki no Bahamut. The user receives a small amount of Bahamut's power into themselves. This power increases their stats tremendously. The user can exhibit limited dragonic abilities. In exchange for the temporary loss of their power (3 days) the user can transform into a berserker state for an hour. In this state , their strength will be amplified by ten times. The backlash following this will incapacitate the user for a day. They will not recover fully for 3 days. The users of this enhancement tend to fail without a team. Suitable for a extremely strong fighter.

This enhancement looked even more op than the last one. Having seen the anime I had a understanding of bahamuts power. Even a tiny portion would be huge.

Solomon: if I'd have seen these when I was choosing my enhancements I probably would have chose them. The power of this enhancement must be colossal. It costs 100 points more than usual, it must be strong.

Gareth: I thought so too, however I ruled it out.

Both Alice and I were confused as to why.

Alice: how come, isn't it stronger than all the other ones.

Gareth: it is, however that isn't enough to survive here. As we've seen in missions, it requires several skills to complete them safely. If we didn't have Solomon's fire based attacks how could we brake through the walls so easily? If we didn't have you goblies how could we hold out against such a huge army? It requires more than brute strength to win here.

What he said was right, however, the enticement of such a strong enhancement was not easily forgotten. I committed it to memory so we could get a teammate to purchase it in the future.
