《The Tragic Tale of a Zombie Survivalist》The Battle of Brookbend 4/4

While the others were quickly taking out the enemies, Renzo had Damian and their Units stay back for a bit. The aim was to strike fear and worry into the hearts of the remaining forces. Watching as their enemy got stronger and their allies died would leave a terrible hole in their moral. Renzo wanted to be extra careful since the Motel was not as open as the other places.
The halls and corridors of a Motel made it so that swinging a sword around would be difficult. They needed to slowly progress up the floors, one level at a time to insure that all the enemies were dealt with. Thankfully, the people here hadn’t gotten the electricity working so the elevator was inoperable.
There was no one on the lower floors, but there were several guys on the third floor. They were nothing notable so they were quickly dispatched. But Renzo was having difficulty trying to imagine why someone living would live at the top floor of a four story building when the elevator didn’t work. Was there another way out?
After making it to the top floor, Renzo heard people crying out that they were finally there. When the group finally turned the corner and looked down the hall, they saw a girl holding onto the Boss of the Living Saints as they jumped into the elevator shaft. Then a massive wind escaped the entryway!
“So they could Skills for that…”
Instead of being surprised, he called the others downstairs since they were done to block the entrance and all the exits. Then it was just a matter of chasing him down. There was several guys here, but not much to actually be trouble. Renzo accurately predicted the enemies’ moves and countered with the Units.
Damian stayed back since him getting the Boss’ Skill was of high priority. Only if something bad happened would Renzo proceed any differently.
Not even five minutes passed before four new Level 2 Undead were standing at attention before Renzo. He didn’t have to even participate, that was how easily it was to lead these Units. Renzo was actually having a fun time. It was easy since his soldiers weren’t alive and would follow his orders completely.
He had one Skeleton search his room, but as soon as it walked in, it was sent flying into the opposite wall on the other side of the corridor. Thankfully, it hadn’t died since it was just thrown. Soon, two almost naked girls were standing in the middle of the hall. They stopped once seeing the powerful people.
The two girls instantly started to quake in fear. They had expected only a few opponents. It seemed their Boss had lied so as to make sure they fought back and increased the head start he had to run away. Before Renzo even took a step, the girls clutched each other and began to sob hysterically.

They had spent their first several days trying to survive like normal people, then some thugs had taken them to be their ‘playthings’. Fortunately, they took advantage of an up and coming champion to kill all the ones who took advantage of them. Now the very man who saved them had left with their youngest sister and left them to die.
They had been taken advantage of yet again. Crying was only a natural reaction to despair. But that only infuriated Renzo more. He stormed over to them and as they began to cower away, he reached out to slap them. However, he was still a Spirit. A Warrior Lightning Phantom. He passed right through their bodies, but they still felt a slight shock since he was a Lightning Phantom after all.
They bolted upright and their hair stood straight up. But they weren’t in any danger of dying. They just passed out from the shock.
“Damn. If you have the time to cry, you have the time to get stronger. That way, you will not need to cry. Why don’t they ever realize?”
The ceiling didn’t reply and neither did the Undead who were watching him looking up.
“Alright, let’s find that bastard who abandoned these girls. And take these two outside.”
Renzo, Damian, and the four Level 2 Undead Units went to each floor starting from the bottom. On each floor, they left two Units to make sure he didn’t come back that way. They found him on the third floor hiding in one of the rooms. He rushed out and sent a punch that connected to Damian, sending him flying into the wall…through the wall and into the next room.
The third girl sent a strange force wave at Renzo that caused him to go flying as well, however he made use of his new Skills.
Heavy.
Not a good Skill to use often, since it would cause a physical strain on the body. However, it even affected his phantasmal body as well, making it and anything else within a 1 meter radius in any direction heavier. Renzo figured this would be good for training. The other was a Quick Step Skill that made him instantly appear at any place within his vision as long as he had enough SP to use it.
Using both, he knocked the girl down and gave her a shock that would knock her out. Then he chased after the fleeing man.
“Stop running like a coward! There’s only me!”
“HYYAAAH!”
From one of the doorways, a surprise punch collided with Renzo, nearly destroying his face. What a punch! To even feel it as a Phantom meant that his power was on another level. Maybe it had something to do with his Skills?
He had lost a considerable amount of HP after that one strike, depleting nearly 50% in one go. Time for his Lightning Magic. Thanks to his Electromancer Job, his magic would be increased just like Reese’s.

The first Spell? Spark. Even Thunderclap was a stronger Skill in comparison. However, after using his SP draining Skills, he needed to use his MP instead. Caught by surprise, Carlos felt his body go numb in an instant. He tripped over his feet in the confusion and by the time he stood up, Renzo had already caught up.
“Huff…huff…Wh…why?!”
“For the points. I’m sure you understand. You seemed to make a big deal about that.”
Coming to terms with his death was impossible as he kept pleading to be let go or make a deal.
“I know! II can rebuild the Clan and send them to you for you to kill! Then you can get all the people you want!”
Damian walked over, his face expressionless but his HP was nearly 75% gone. If this guy was stronger, he wouldn’t have to bother himself with others. Seeing the frozen Spirit walk closer, Carlos tried to slide himself away, ignoring the tear stains and unashamed appearance he currently had.
“We had a more short term goal in mind.”
“What? What is it? Anything I can do, I will!”
Renzo just coldly gazed at the despicable guy before replying,
“We need to kill a Clan Boss.”
The color drained from Carlos’ face as he looked up into the face of his very own Grim Reaper. With nary a sound, Damian froze Carlos in a moment and shattered him to pieces. Soon, an alert was heard and Damian began to transform.
“Oh no! A BOSS! With this, the Undead Clan completely killed off the Living Saints! For winning the Clan War, the Undead Clan members that participated will receive rewards depending on their contributions. Members of the Country’s Best that participated in the first conflict will also receive rewards for their actions. For being the first Clan in the State to kill off an entire Clan, all members will receive 200 GP and all Units belonging to any of members of the Clan under Level 2 will Level Up once!”
At that moment, five black shapes started to change along with all the Undead. Three became thicker versions of the Shade. While the Shade seemed flimsy, these Shadowlings were much stronger in appearance. The other two kept changing into a familiar form. The five Shades had changed into three Shadowlings and two Shadows.
Everyone carted off the corpses using the Undead and left for the base.

This should be the Main Character, right?

Whoa! What the hell? I kept getting notifications of everything as it was going down! Holy shit!
Okay, so I had Sammy kill the Rapist and Co. so as to quickly become a BOSS. He was my fifth BOSS. Mid BOSSes counted, apparently.
Then Chris, Renzo, and Kuvali all became BOSSes! When Blue and Green Amigo both changed, I was rewarded with a new Title! Hadn’t got one of those in a while. I don’t think they are common. Then how did I receive two on the first days of being a zombie? Whatever. More stuff I will probably never know.
I had already planned on going back to the Castle, because I was in definite need of transportation. It was stupid of me to think that just walking in a specific direction would be able to make me get from point A to point B. No, I was dumb.
We would be able to return in another couple of days and then we could rest. Boy, I needed to find a way to travel that wouldn’t attract attention.
Now, Sammy had only become Level 3 since he had killed a BOSS. Yep, the way to show up on the broadcast was to kill a BOSS. And in order to easily create a BOSS was to have someone who already did all that and just had them kill another Ability User. I had the Rapist kill the Destroyer guy and had Sammy kill the newly awakened BOSS. I didn’t want somebody like him on my side anyway.
I will probably do the same to the members of the Living Saints. It would make it easier for me to make more BOSSes. However, I now had more than enough people to protect the Castle. In fact, I bet I could have some of these guys go to find the Level 4 person in Louisiana. Maybe once we take over the State, we can send a group to get the person in California. And if my presence causes problems, then I can always leave again. Yeah! This should be easy!
Besides, Rebecca keeps sneaking over to me when I’m sleeping and just stares at me. It feels creepy since it feels like my mother looking at me when I was younger. Geez! Thankfully, she hasn’t been all up in my pants. Sometimes, though…her eyes glaze over and she jumps on me.
Then, in the next instant, she comes to and begins to uncontrollably cry. It hurts me down to my gut to hear her sob like that. The only thing I can do is rub her back and tell her everything will be okay. And then she treats me like her son, probably reminiscing of past memories. Eventually, the feeling wears off and she starts to tease me again.
The process restarts and I am left with a wet shoulder and a raging hard on I have no idea how to deal with. Thankfully the crying sessions get shorter and more spread apart.
Oh how I wish she didn’t have this Perverted Skill.
