(Erina’s POV)

Erina was currently taking a walk with Shaila, it has already been 2 weeks since they came to the demon capital.

...to think that they would do it again yesterday

“Is there something bothering you? are you hungry?”(Shaila)

“No, it’s nothing”(Erina)

“Then smile, or are you telling me, being with me is bad…”(Shaila)

“NO! It’s not that. There is just this… yesterday… intense…”(Erina)

“I don’t understand”(Shaila)

...wait...what am I saying?

“ahahahaha no, it’s nothing, I was just hungry”(Erina)

“I knew it, being hungry is always a sad thing”(Shaila)

They both went to a food stall, the same stall where Frith and Agness went on their first date.

“So what is it today? gonna buy them all again lady Shaila? hahaha”(Stall owner)

“I will get fat! I’ll buy all except for one”(Shaila)

Nothing changed...you still ate most of it.

“I’ll take the last one”(Erina)

The stall’s popularity rose, not only did Frith and the demon lord go there, even the 4 heroes started buying food from them, especially Shaila which ate most of it.

“Looks like I’ll be closing early again hahahaha”(Stall owner)

“I’ll come back again later”(Shaila)

“Lady Shaila, I need to restock…”(Stall owner)

“I’ll help you, where can we get more food?”(Shaila)

“Stop that” She carried Shaila away from the stall.

“Thank you!” The stall owner waved his hand to them, Shaila waved back.

Not that I don’t understand… the food there is delicious.

They went to the center of the capital to meet with Milla & Farha.

“Have you finished buying?” Erina was still carrying Shaila on her shoulders.

“We got a lot of new clothes, and it was all cheap” Farha’s eyes sparkled.

“I bought a set of T-shirt and pants, that is all I need”(Milla)

“... Did you buy the cloak?”(Erina)

“Sorry… it was already gone when we got there…”(Farha)

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, MY CLOAK!!!!

Erina threw Shaila away and started curling up on the floor.

“SHAILA!” Farha quickly went to the place where Shaila was thrown.

“Nahahaha I am finally free” Shaila stood up and raised both of her arms.

“To think you would throw Shaila just because we couldn’t buy the cloak...”(Farha)

“Maybe we should just throw this away?” Milla pulled a purple cloak from the bag.

!?

“Yes, throw that away.”(Farha)

At Farha’s command, Milla poised to throw the cloak, but it suddenly vanished.

“YES! MY CLOAK!” Erina hugged Milla. “THANK YOU!”

“...”(Milla)

“I am hungry”(Shaila)

(Frith’s POV)

Frith met Selene, while walking inside the castle.

“...”(Selene)

“Something wrong?”(Frith)

“I was thinking, should I marry you after the talk with the leaders, or should I wait for a bit more time..”(Selene)

“... what made you think about that?”(Frith)

“The talk with the heroes made me think about my own marriage, I am thinking of ways to make Agness agree to it…”(Selene)

I like you anyways, so it’s not a bad thing, but I also don’t want Agness to be sad… if they can talk it out then I guess it’s ok

“It’s ok with me, just talk about it with Agness first.”(Frith)

“That was my plan from the start, anyways, I’ll talk about it with her now”(Selene)

Selene has always acted as the eldest sister. When she was born, her elder sister was nowhere to be found, her father was worried sick, but her mother didn’t care, and she also didn’t care. Afraid about her running somewhere like Leblanc, her father made her live like a princess. She didn’t care about her sister, she simply enjoyed being pampered by her father. After her younger sister, Lily Matah was born, she saw her mother who never showed her any emotions, smile.

Her father slowly shifted his care towards her little sister, she understood her father’s reasons. She was pampered when she was young, and this time it was her little sister turn to be pampered. There was a small problem, her mother that didn’t show any interest in her nor showed any care for her, suddenly start spoiling her little sister.

She started thinking, did her mother hate her? Did she do anything to make her mother hate? She started practicing different things to make her mother look at her, even just a little look is enough for her.

She excelled in all things except for one, and it was the reason her mother didn’t even look at her. She is a genius at everything except for physical combat. One day her elder sister suddenly returned, her sister had an odd personality. She didn’t care, there was no reason to start liking her sister that suddenly returned. She tried her best and trained her body, if her mother didn’t like her for her lack in physical ability then maybe it could be fixed if she got stronger. She trained and trained but it wasn’t enough, one day her mother suddenly called her. She was happy, maybe her efforts bore fruit, maybe this time her mother noticed her.

“Stop training, It doesn’t matter how much effort you put into it. You could never match the talent of your little sister”(Mother)

After her mother’s speech, she did her best not to cry. She slowly went out of the room and go outside, her father tried to comfort her but she didn’t want to show any weakness. She decreased her physical training, and focused on magic. All of her sadness stayed in her heart, but she thought that showing weakness will make her mother hate her more. One day her sister suddenly hit her neck, when she woke up she was in a place she didn’t know.

“You could freely cry here, none will see...except for me”(Leblanc)

“...”(Selene)

“Come on, don’t be shy. You are free to let all of your feelings here”(Leblanc)

She didn’t know what happened but all of her sadness, all of her anger, everything she tried to hide, all of it flowed out of her body as tears.

Her sister hugged her “Sorry for not being an elder sister… I don’t know how to actually fu fu fu”(Leblanc)

“...”(Selene)

“This is all I could do for now, but please don’t hate Lily. If you are angry, put all of your anger towards me, your irresponsible elder sister, ok?”(Leblanc)

“Thank you, you didn’t have to hit my neck though…still hurts”(Selene)

After that Selene still continued what she was doing, but this time, with a smile on her face. She wanted her mother’s attention but she didn’t hate her little sister, especially when her sister started to get sad when her mother forced her ideals on her little sister. She remembered what her elder sister did for her, and also tried to comfort her little sister.

From time to time, Leblanc will come back, and is welcomed by her and Lily. Lily continued her training with her mother, since that was Selene’s advice. If she could make their mother interested in her then she should go for it, and if she will need someone to comfort her, Selene would be there. A few hundred years after that, and the youngest, Agness was born. Their mother didn’t show any interest on Agness, so Selene tried her best to act as a mother for her.

They were able to live happily, all 4 of them are close, they help each other when they need help. Selene cherished her family, even her mother that never showed her any affection. As she get older her world also became bigger, as the daughter of the demon lord, she had to interact with other nobles.

It didn’t really matter, she simply had to talk with them. After that, she noticed that there are only 3 types of people that are around her, one are the type that fears her, the second are the types that respected her, and the last are types that had hidden motives. She lost interest on other demons, it was enough that she had her family with her. After Agness became the demon lord she started helping her father persuade the humans to stop the war.

When her father died, the nobles started to make moves on her and her sisters. She had to continuously live a life where she had to negotiate with the human and keep the greedy nobles at bay. When Agness could properly fend off the nobles, she focused on stopping the war.

Even in the human continent, her beauty was outstanding. Unlike the nobles that see her as tools for power, the humans saw her as an object for lust. None made a move yet it was obvious to her how the males looked at her. Irritated at everything she wanted to let some stress out, and that was the reason the continent of ice was created, with a little help from Leblanc.

Her life continued, only her father treated her like a normal girl, but everything changed when she met Frith. A man who doesn’t have any hidden motives, and someone who acts normally around her. A man she could talk to, equally. Even though Agness already claimed the man, she thought to herself, that she will never meet a man like him. The man in front of her eyes, was someone that could make her feel like normal, it didn’t matter if she was second as long as the man noticed her.

Selene, Agness, Frith & Valmahr were at the dining hall.

It's ok right? I tried my best for more than a thousand years, it is ok for me to be happy, even for a bit right? Second wife is enough, as long as I could be near him, as long as he looks at me, it is enough for me.

Selene didn’t notice that she was staring at Frith’s face.

“Is there something on my face?”(Frith)

“It’s nothing, I just thought that I wanted to be with you”(Selene)

That’s right, I am happy being with him……I love him
