“do you hate me?” Agness looked at Frith with teary eyes

“it is not that I hate you”(Frith)

“then you love me right?”(Agness)

“ah…eh for now it is not at that level but, let’s just say I like you as…”(Frith)

“really?” Agness smiled

“Yup”(Frith)

Yeah this is for the best, we should first develop our feelings before going in to marriage

“ehehehe, um could you close your eyes for a bit”(Agness)

“um…sure” Frith closed his eyes.

I wonder what she is planning to do

He suddenly felt a touch on his lips, after that he could hear Agness running out of the room.

Wait what just happened… if I remember correctly this is called a kiss… wait did she just kiss me?

30 minutes before the picnic, while Frith was thinking of various things someone knocked on the door.

I…is it Agness again?

“Are you still here hero? Um I would like to talk with you for a bit”(Lily Matah)

Oh its Lily, and this time she is properly knocking on the door. I should hide the fact that Agness kissed me, yup that is for the best.

“you may enter”(Frith)

Lily Matah entered the room and sat down on his bed.

“so what is it that you wanted to talk about”(Frith)

Lily Matah took a deep breath and looked directly on to his eyes.

“I am sorry for acting like I did before”(Lily Matah)

“so it’s about that, it’s ok. I understand the reason why you acted like that and I can’t really blame you for it, I mean I hurt your sister so it is only normal for you to be angry”(Frith)

“… you know, you are quite kind. Even yesterday when we acted badly towards you, you didn’t get angry and fight back”(Lily Matah)

“no I thought that if I fought with you, then my goal of befriending the demon lord will not come true”(Frith)

“well anyways, since I am mature. Then I will forgive you”(Lily Matah)

“now that you have forgiven me, could we somehow start being friends”(Frith)

“I guess that’s fine, um anyways we should start heading towards the park”(Lily Matah)

“Ok” Frith smiled at Lily Matah.

Frith was surprised, there are currently 8 people in the park. There were 2 on each side of Lily Matah, 1 near Selene and 1 near Agness.

“you are probably surprised to see more people right? Let me introduce to you this is my general”(Selene)

“Nice to meet you Hero, I am Frozen king Paylohn”(Paylohn)

Paylohn looked like a young man on his early 20s, he had a light blue hair and a pair of dark blue eyes. His horn was 10cm long and was curving around his head like Selene’s horn. He was wearing blue vest with a long sleeved light blue t-shirt, his pants were dark blue and his wings were as long as him. His height was around 170cm and his body was is filled with lean muscles.

“um are you perhaps Selene’s husband?”(Frith)

“ah, is it because of my title? Haha don’t worry I am not her husband, I want to be her husband though”(Paylohn)

“AHEM, the next one is my little sister’s general”(Selene)

“I am the current butler of the demon castle and the general of the Demon Lord, Demon Butler Valmahr" Valmahr bowed at him.

Valmahr looked like an old man in his late 50s, he had white hair and a pair of silver eyes. His horns were 12cm long and was curving backwards, he didn’t have wings like Lily. He was wearing a normal butler attire. His height was around 175cm and his body was so muscular that it can be seen through his clothes.

After Valhmar’s introduction Lily Matah’s eyes shined and she suddenly stood up.

“This two are my servants, the one on the right is Flame Princess Leyna and the one the bulky guy on the left is Immovable Fortress Gargantua” Lily Matah proudly pointed at the 2 besisdes her.

Leyna looked somewhere between late 20s and early 30s, she had a short red hair and a pair of light red eyes. Her horns were 9cm lng and was stretched upwards, like Lily she didn’t have wings. She was wearing a white short sleeved t-shirt and a black skirt. Her height was around 165cm and her body was slender without any excess mass or muscle.

Gargantua was wearing a heavy black armor so it was hard to determine his age. He was 180cm tall and had a 20cm horns stretching forward.

How did he wear that helmet? How did he fit his horns there?

“um master why didn’t you let us introduce yourselves?”(Leyna & Gargantua)

“a… sorry I just wanted to boast about you guys”(Lily Matah)

“MASTER!” Both Leyna & Gargantua hugged Lily Matah.

“Stop that, everyone is looking and Gargantua your armor is crushing me”(Lily Matah)

“Hehehe our master is getting embarrassed”(Leyna)

“Arg stop it”(Lily Matah)

“OK ok” Both Leyna and Gargantua released Lily Matah and sat down.

“well then. I am Frith Runeore one of the current heroes”(Frith)

After the introduction everyone showed a friendly attitude towards Frith including Lily Matah, the generals started boasting of their masters. After eating, Agness suddenly stood up.

“I have an important announcement”(Agness)

Everyone turned their eyes towards Agness.

“The Hero and I are gonna get married”(Agness)

“WHAT?”(Everyone)

What is she saying?

Everyone shifted their gaze towards Frith.

“w…wait I don’t know anything about this”(Frith)

“But you said you like me”(Agness)

“yes I did say that… but I think it is still too early for marriage”(Frith)

“but we already kissed”(Agness)

“WHAT”(Everyone except for Frith)

“Everyone stay here” Selene dragged him to another place.

“Tell me hero, why is my sister saying things like that?”(Selene)

“I don’t know she suddenly entered my room earlier while brining her favorite book, she asked me if I was the same as the one at the story. She asked if I loved her and if I would marry her(Frith)

“And? What did you reply to her?”(Selene)

“I said that don’t love her but I like her as a friend, she then made me close my eyes and kissed me”(Frith)

“sigh… I somehow knew this would happen when Agness blushed in the throne room. Hero Frith, do you want to marry my sister?”(Selene)

“you are supporting her?”(Frith)

“yes, I want my sister to be happy”(Selene)

“isn’t she too young for marriage, isn’t this a bit too fast?”(Frith)

“if it is about her age then she is already at her adult stage, just answer the question do you want to marry her or not?”(Selene)

“…could we start as friends first, I mean we just fought yesterday and suddenly marrying her is a bit…”(Frith)

“sigh… ok I’ll talk to my sister, I’ll ask her to postpone the marriage”(Selene)

“Thank You”(Frith)

Postpone? Not cancel? Well I guess it is better like that, if I want to stay in this world then I have to marry her at some point.

“ok then let’s get back to where the others are”(Selene)

When they both got back, Selene explained what was happening and why her sister acted like that. Agness has always loved the book and always waited for it to happen but of course they thought it was impossible, Heroes hate the demons and they will most likely never have a friendly interaction. Most of the heroes that showed up were barbaric, but when Frith appeared everything changed. In Agness’ eyes it looked like Frith came out of the book, carried by her delusions she wanted to instantly follow the story and marry him.

“As of now the Hero Frith wants to start as friends”(Selene)

“YOU ARE SAYING LADY AGNESS IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH HUH?”(Valmahr)

“Be quiet, since we already finished eating I want everyone to go back and rest. And you guys, carry Lily back to her room”(Selene)

Leyna and Gargantua nodded, Gargantua lifted Lily Matah and started going back to the castle. Lily Matah was shocked by the events. After hearing her sister say that she kissed the hero, Lily Matah suddenly froze up.

(Agness’ POV)

I am not having a weird delusion, I really love Frith.

Agness was currently in her room, she was sitting on her bed while hugging a pillow.

Why was sister Selene trying to postpone the marriage?

Someone knocked on the door.

“you may enter”(Agness)

Valmahr entered the room and bowed in front of Agness.

“It’s ok, you may stand up”(Agness)

“Thank you lady Agness, is it really true that you want to marry the hero?”(Valmahr)

“I am serious and if you stop me I will break all of your bones” Agness started to get irritated.

“there is no need for that, I actually want to help you. It is my greatest wish to see my master’s daughter happy”(Valmahr)

“really? You will help me?”(Agness)

“yes although for now I suggest that you slow things down”(Valmahr)

“you said you will help me! Why would I have to wait? I love him and I want to marry him”(Agness)

“yes I know that but you should take things one step at a time, if you rush things then the Hero will slowly start hating you”(Valmahr)

“NO! I don’t want him to hate me”(Agness)

“Don’t worry, since I am here I will make sure that he will fall in love with you. I will show you why i was called the butler of love when i was young”(Valmahr)

(Frith’s POV)

Frith was now resting on his room when suddenly the door opened

“Hero! How dare you try and seduce my sister”(Lily Matah)

Urg here we go again

“I already told everyone that I don’t know why she acted like that”(Frith)

“LIES! You even kissed her”(Lily Matah)

This is becoming irritating

“It’s the other way around, she was the one who kissed me”(Frith)

“But you still seduced her!”(Lily Matah)

GRRRRRRRR

“IF YOU ARE NOT GONNA LISTEN THEN JUST ATTACK ME RIGHT NOW! IT’S A FIGHT YOU WANT RIGHT?”(Frith)

“…”(Lily Matah)

“THERE IS A LIMIT TO MY PATIENCE! OR DID YOU THINK I WOULD SILENTLY LISTEN TO ALL YOU RANTINGS?”(Frith)

“n…no…sorry” Tears started to on Lily Matah’s eyes.

Selene entered the room

“please calm down, did Lily Matah do something again”(Selene)

Frith took a deep breath.

“fuuuu.. sorry about that, I just started getting angry at her”(Frith)

“sigh… what did you do now Lily?” Selene turned her gaze towards the now crying Lily Matah.

“sorry about that, um I would like you to please forgive her” Selene bowed at him and dragged Lily Matah out of the room.

Sigh… it looks like there are a lot of things harder than fighting a demon lord
