Mei Ruan April 17th, 20XX

I finally spoke out loud for probably the first time since I had gotten there and although my words were towards Esmarelda, my eye sight or focus never moved from the charming prince.

“ So this is the prince? He’s a decent looking guy.”

At my words, his face slightly flushed and his hands began to twitch around his coat but he quickly settled down as Esmeralda began to speak.

“ Of Course, He is the child of Belphoebe after all and his father wasn't awful looking even though he was a goblin…. but of course he’s honored to receive your praise.”

The prince’s large eyes narrowed at her annoying voice and irritating words but quickly fixed his expression as she looked back at him and moved his gaze around the room finally settling on Lillian when she began to speak.

“ Im sure you already know the reason for our visit so I won't waste any time on formalities. Now that His highness has arrived when do you plan to announce the ceremony?”

He acted surprised at the mention of a ceremony and sent a cautious look at Esmeralda who chose to ignore it and began to lead Lillian out of the room in order to talk.

With a greasy smile she not-so-discreetly whispered to Lillian.

“ Why don’t we discuss this in another room and leave the two young ones to get to know each other.”

She looked to me for confirmation and sped out of the room once she received it, dragging Lillian and after some resistance the two aides with her.

The prince looked at their retreating backs with a slight air of helplessness before finally looking back to me. He sat still as I looked over him and tried to relax, however he tensed up once again when i finally spoke.

“ Do you know what's going on right now?”

Rather than risking the chance of sounding like a spoiled young mistress and asking if he knew who I was I figured this was the safer option. Still I couldn't help but let the slightly condescending tone creep into my voice, like one would talk to a child. But in this case it really couldn't be helped as he was much to cute for his own good.

It occured to me in that moment how the contrast between him and Akseli couldn't have been more drastic. Starting from their appearances, Askeli’s muted and demure style already paled in comparison to the prince’s bright and energetic fashion and their personas or aura’s couldn't even be compared.

Askeli for how popular he was would never be more than a simple husband to keep at home, in fact if not for the possibilities of collaboration with his family he wouldn't be able to make it past secondary husband. He was delicate and alluring, sensitive and smart but he was petty. He couldn't stand to suffer a loss and always felt that he deserved much more than his standing permitted. He was also scheming and would always leave five ways for himself and himself alone out of any situation, making him untrustworthy as well.

Yet the prince, from what I could see was quite the opposite. He was indeed very attractive and charming but in such a forceful way that even the thought of leaving such a person at home would be a crime. As well, although he was clever he clearly felt no need to scheme and plot, instead being confident in his own power to crush whatever annoyance in his way weather that power was in his own magical power or in that of his aides. And from the pure and innocent look he had I couldn't see him ever abandoning anyone he recognized as a friend or family.

Of course this wasn’t based on any sort of facts or reasoning but the feeling was there and that was more than enough for a first meeting.

The same prince that occupied my thought’s eyes narrowed with slight resentment and an unconscious pout played onto his face at my tone. However he quickly wiped the expression off his face having decided not to call me out and vigorously shook his head in response to my question.

As he did his hair flipped around in a way that caught the light and created a minor halo that made him shine like an angel for a whole minute and made me smile in appreciation.

Now I really didn't mean to brag but I knew I had quite a nice smile and I had even been complimented multiple times and told it brought out my features even more, but he stayed slightly tense and defensive and I couldn't help but feel a tad offended. I wasn't so scary that he had to be so cautious was I?

As I took in yet another wave of the clean magic he had been continuously generating I was suddenly filled with extreme discomfort at the thought of the prince disliking me in anyway and launched out of my seat. I quickly gathered my thoughts and performed a small courtesy,

“ I am Mei Ruan, First daughter of the north duchy in the Fairy Realm…... As well as the Fiancee of The first prince of the first Reich of the Realm.”

I held back a laugh as various emotions sprayed across his face as he registered what I’d said. Infact for some reason every little action he performed seemed incredibly appealing.

“......The Fiancee……..first Prince…….ME?!”

My body began to move on its own as I nodded once again. I gathered my robes in a way that would highlight my figure as I walked and began to near him with intent in my stride, lowering my voice so only he in the same room would be able to hear it.

“ It's good to see that you aren't all that dull. You know it would truly be a pain to be married to a bore. At least you don't have to worry about that”

He backed into his throne with every step I took and eventually dove behind it in order to seek refuge. I couldn't help but notice that his movements were much more agile than other males of his social status would have been able too.

He peeked out from behind the throne only to see how close I had come and backed up even more.

“ What are you doing!?”

It suddenly occurred to me that he was like an animal after the first meeting and the thought made me laugh out loud. Like a small puppy or perhaps a rabbit he huddled into a corner and shivered in fright.

I disliked it.

“ What do you think I’m doing? or rather why are you scared of me?”

He began to bluster, as if I wouldn't be able to notice the tremble in his voice or his wings that twitched like he was about to take flight at any moment.

“ Who’s scared of who?”

In a tone that would have been convincing if not for the fact that he continued to move backwards as I approached. He eventually backed himself into a wall and watched me with eyes so widened that they began to tear up.

A single tear lazily traced his features until they settled on his full lips, making them glisten in an attractive way and panic flashed through his eyes as he thought of a million ways to escape or ways to stop me until he finally reached a conclusion and his eyes were instead filled with a strong but resentful resolution.

Almost unwittingly my hand reached up to caress his face and my other hand slammed into the wall behind him, temporarily startling him out of his struggle. Slowly, as if it wasn't by my own doing I brought his face closer to mine and turned his eyes towards mine but before I could lock his gaze with mine he turned his face away, and helplessly whispered as he had lost all will to fight so quickly.

“ Stop!......Please.”
