《Evolution God》20: Fighting The Third Prince Of The Giants (1)

As Lucifer flapped his gigantic wings, he instantly shot through the air in search of the portal, that seemed to hold onto a mystery that could somehow help him. He just felt like it had something to do with his previous life, but he still couldn't be sure, as he couldn't prove it until he found it. He had a feeling that in the complete centre of the battlefield was where the portal was, and he was extremely excited to find out what was on the other side.
When looking behind him, a trail of death could be found, where nearly nothing had survived. Seeing this, he couldn't help but feel pity for those that were killed, but he also couldn't care. They would die anyway, so it wouldn't matter how they died.
After flying for another 3 hours, Lucifer suddenly spotted someone that emitted an aura that seemed way too strong for a Lord rank. It was a gigantic youth with black hair and in white robes, looking extremely wise and unfathomable. He had closed his eyes as if he was concentrating on listening. Besides him stood another giant in less elegant clothing, and he emitted an aura many times weaker than what Lucifer found interesting.
Suddenly, the youth's eyes opened and they instantly locked onto Lucifer, as if he had known that he would arrive at that exact moment. His eyes seemed to contain infinite knowledge and wisdom, and they were as calm as water, with no emotion.

As Abrog was getting more and more confused as to what could get the Third Prince to wait for an entire day, he was also getting increasingly nervous.
- "Your Majesty, this servant finds it confusing as to why this existence has caught his Majesty's interest."
Since he could ask the man beside him for an answer, then why wouldn't he? Although he didn't expect to get a reply since he was just a lowly Knight compared to the Third Prince, he was still extremely curious.
- "It'll arrive soon."

As Abrog had guessed, he didn't get a direct answer, since he wasn't someone of a higher rank. In the Giant's race, Knight's weren't considered to be a high rank in society, as over 80% of the Giants had the strength of a Giant Knight.
Suddenly, Abrog felt an enormous amount of pressure, as if a huge mountain had been placed on his shoulder. Only a couple of minutes had passed by since the prediction of the Third Prince, so he hadn't prepared himself enough. He couldn't move a single inch, even when he tried with all his power, it was all in vain. Almost out of nowhere came an enormous dragon, with pearl-like scales making it look extremely beautiful. It was at least twice the height of Abrog, not to mention its tail seemed to be almost thrice as long as Abrog was tall. Its wingspan was extremely huge, and every time it flapped its wings, whirlwinds and tornadoes would be created, exterminating anyone too weak.
- "What the fuck is that?!"
As soon as the dragon came into sight, Abrog almost forgot to breathe under the pressure it emitted.
The Third Prince opened his eyes, as he looked at the newly arrived dragon.
- "You've finally arrived."
Although the Third Prince's words didn't contain any power behind them, it was as if everyone on the battlefield could hear what he said.

- "You've finally arrived."
Lucifer could hear those words as if they were inside his mind. He could guess who it was since the youth Giant had begun to stare at him and move his mouth in sync with the words in his mind. It somehow managed to send a slight shiver down Lucifer's spine, as he hadn't expected it. Although the words contained no power behind them, it was as if they alone could go against the heavens.
Lucifer looked back at the youth which seemed to have predicted that he would arrive at that exact moment. As he flapped his wings, he landed with a loud thud a hundred metres in front of the youth. Instantly the ground cracked open, and lava spewed up everywhere as if an active volcano had appeared.

As Lucifer looked at the youth, he couldn't help but feel pressure coming from him. It was as if the youth in front of him was many times stronger than Lucifer, but at the same time, it felt as if the youth was simply just extremely fragile.
- "Observation."

'WHAT?!' Why couldn't Lucifer observe this person's stats? A hint of confusion and fear could be seen in Lucifer's eyes. Was that giant youth simply too strong, or was it something else? Maybe it was a form of concealment skill that he could use to hide his stats?
Feeling extremely confused and also uncomfortable, about not being able to see the enemy's battle prowess, Lucifer, became wary. Although he was bigger than the person in front of him, it didn't necessarily mean that he was stronger in any way.
- "You're a weird one, Darog."
Putting up a facade to hide his confusion, Lucifer sounded his deep and intimidating voice towards Darog. Immediately after saying that, pride and arrogance could be spotted in the eyes and on the face of Darog.
- "So even a measly dragon knows my name, I didn't think I was that known."
'You've misunderstood, I don't even know who you are'. With pained expression and a forced smile, Lucifer silently cursed himself for activating the other party's arrogance and pride. Lucifer hated people the most that only knew how to be arrogant or prideful since they would always look down on others no matter who they were.
- "Anyway, I'm the Third Prince of the Giant race. May I know this dragon's name..?"
Instantly all the pride and arrogance was wiped off Darog's face, as he asked what Lucifer was named.
- "Lucifer."
Without much respect, even though Lucifer knew that the guy was the Third Prince of the Giant race, he told him his name. Since Lucifer didn't care who the opponent or target was, as long as they had an interesting bloodline or skill, he would kill.
Lucifer noticed that the Giant besides Darog seemed to be extremely frustrated as if he was cursing Lucifer for not showing any form for respect for the Third Prince. It could also be seen that the giant didn't dare to say it out loud as it was too afraid of it being killed without mercy.
- "Why have you been waiting for me here?"
As Lucifer could see that the Third Prince had been waiting for him, he had wanted to ask him, why? Why would a Prince personally come and wait for Lucifer? He didn't even know this giant, only his name and his title.
- "I'll take you as my pet. You should feel honoured. It's not every day that you get to be a Prince's pet."
With a sweet smile plastered on his face, the Prince sounded his voice, as if it was the most natural thing that could occur. It was as if the Prince thought that every living being would naturally choose to become a pet or slave without any hesitation, as long as he said it.
'Who would want to willingly become a pet of a prince with extreme arrogance and pride?!' Lucifer felt extremely disgusted, as the Prince didn't take any of his feelings into consideration. The thing Lucifer hated the most, was prideful and arrogant and spoiled brats, not knowing how the world is put together.
- "Who would want to be a pet of someone like you?!"
As soon as the words left Lucifer's mouth, he spat out his Orcus Dragon Flame, that reeked of the aura of death. It was a weird sight to behold. A heavenly like dragon releasing a flame that symbolised death.

Dauntless: Origins
Snow white hair, blue eyes, pale. Devil, monster, mutt, failure. This story follows one Tyr Faeron, crown prince, heir primus and mass murderer. A wrathful, angry, and lost young man that has made it his goal to hunt down the men that killed his mother - and he is on the cusp of finishing the promise he'd made before her cairn stones so many years ago. On the surface he is duplicitous, whimsical, and base of cunning - but within the depths beyond the many masks he wears, something is waiting. Waiting for an end, the end he'd come to long for, whether it be to himself or any possible threats in his vicinity. After that long labor of vengeance is completed... Nobody knows, not even him - an arrogant and otherwise solitary individual with nothing in the way of friends - only the brothers of the blackguard who follow him through life as he pursues this mission. He was born a prince, but he'd be called a disappointment - failing to manifest the great power that he was born to before being summarily discarded by his father, a 250 year old 'primus'. That word again... Men who can shatter mountains and level cities, that's what he was supposed to be. Some call them demi-gods, all Tyr sees is a poor excuse for a parent. Time had made him bitter, cruel, and arguably psychotic - seeing only enemies wherever he looks. They'd come for him, too, one day - to wipe the slate clean and make room for another - and it's his conviction to ensure that he dies while taking as many of those rats with him. This is a story about finding acceptance, growth, and understanding - from the point of view of a cold and brutal individual who wears many masks. Of someone who was born to be the greatest emperor the eastern continent has ever seen - but he failed in that. Strong, yes, but only in the context of a man - Tyr's magic is weak. His convictions are weak. He has been made a beast of instinct by loss and a constant confronting of his own impotency in the face of his father. A mythos that stretches across planes, of magic, a pantheon of cruel gods. Of someone who's dedicated his entire mind to the art of killing a man, and none to living a normal childhood or coming to understand friendship, empathy, or compassion. The first five years of his life a mystery, a hole none have ever been willing to fill, leaving him warped and twisted. His formative years gone and what must've been most of his humanity along with it. Now 17, he is on the cusp of leaving the city he'd never been permitted to leave for what might be the first time in his life. Always searching, though he won't know what for, for some time. An episodic that follows experience and symbolism rather than a never ending series of battles - where the conflict lay in constantly searching for wholeness in lieu of great villains or heroes. This is where it all started, the origin, the tale told a million times - and yet it hadn't been, 'reality' is tricky like that. The greatest lie ever told by the tongue that speaks is that any of this was real at all.
