《Mafia God!》Chapter 11 - Consigliere!
Here is your chapter Enjoy :D
Ps: Consigliere = In Italian, consigliere means "adviser" or "counselor" and is still a common title for example for members of city councils in Italy and Switzerland. It is derived from Latin consiliarius (advisor) and consilium (advice). The terminology of the U.S. Mafia is taken from that of the Sicilian Mafia and suggests that an analogy is intended to imitate the court of a medieval Italian principality. For example, Venice was led by a Doge (duke) and a consigliere ducale (advisor to the doge). An underboss will normally move up to boss when the position becomes vacant, so his position is equivalent to that of heir to the throne. Consigliere, meanwhile, is analogous to chief minister or chancellor

~Claus POV~
Now I that I am done with the contract I just need to wait until I am 21 before Inheriting the company, in the mean time I am allowed to use 0.2% of the company money per year which is £100000 and I get to have Alec and the car.
I send an email to J. Robert Oppenheimer with a detailed plan of how we are going to make the Hydrogen bomb, to be honest, I didn't want to make anything to do with nuclear but if someone is going to make one I might as well be the one, the people are getting closer to making a nuclear bomb, so I want to make one before they do, honestly I am surprised they haven't made the connection yet.
After I send the email I close my laptop and put it on my desk before putting on my casual clothes, a black t-shirt, and blue jeans, I put on my shoes.
I also put on a couple of rings and a necklace and get out of my room.
I make my way towards the front door.
But I am stopped by my mother who has a worried expression, I frown "What is wrong mother?"
"Your Grandfather is in the hospital, he had a heart attack!"
"Grandpa did?" I asked
"We need to hurry, your father is already in the car" She said and dragged me to the car.

~Lakeside Hospital Center~
After we got to the hospital we made our way in and saw the many hurt people there. There were many people who had bandages on who was about to leave until they saw me, their eyes widen in shock as some of them fell down and pissed themselves while the rest turned around and ran as fast as they could, my parents didn't care about these people as they moved to the reception and asked for the room where my grandpa was staying.
We were told where to find my grandpa so we made our way there, on the way we met people with the same situation as the people at the entrance.
My father stormed into the room where my grandfather was and saw that my grandfather was laughing and trying to cheer my crying grandmother up.
*sigh*
what a relief, I really didn't want my grandfather to die, he is a nice guy who wants nothing but his family to be happy, he is also the joker of our family and the person who is on everyone's side when they need it.
You can say he is the spiritual backbone of our family.
When we enter my grandfather looked at us and his soft lips stretched into a smile but didn't quite reach his dark eyes. They were lit with sadness, and the forced expression of the contrary on his mouth would have looked comical to me if it didn't make my heart feel heavy.
For a few moments, I stared at him, almost sure his expression mirrored mine. It broke my heart. I didn't want him to leave. I didn't want him to turn into a random image that floated in the pool of my memory. I didn't want to be the smile that squeezed his chest somewhere far away. I didn't want him to go. I wanted his smile to stay.
I couldn't help but shed a small tear, I made my way towards him and gave him a huge.
My father followed my actions and also hugged his father while tears rolled down his cheeks, looking at this scene my mother also started to cry which made my grandma cry harder.

"Hey, I am not dead there is no reason to cry like this, you make me feel guilty" my grandpa said and I let go of him and my dad did the same.
After 15 min trying to calm my mom and grandma down they managed to lessen their cries and we started to talk about what had happened.
We talked for 30 min before my grandpa got tired and we left him to rest.
I went downstairs to get something to eat, on my way I didn't find the people who were hurt, they had all left, as a matter of fact, there was not a single person left from the people that I crushed the other day, they must have told each other that I was here.
I went to the vending machine and got something to drink.
After getting the drink I sat down next to a young man who had his hand on his head, something must have happened to him.
I opened my drink and started to drink it while looking at the ceiling.
"God must be punishing me!" The young man next to me said I looked at him to see if was talking to me
"How could this happened to me, first I am kicked out my mob family then I lose my girlfriend and now I got cancer, what kind of bullshit is this!" The young man started to hit the wall next to him
I stop him from hitting the wall, he looks up towards me, you could see the anger in his eyes.
"Why are you hitting the wall!" I asked him
"What do you know kid, get lost!" the young man says as he pulls his hand away from mine.
"I can get lost, but then who will save you?" I said and took a sip of my drink, he looked at me with suspicion before laughing to himself.
"And how are you going to save me, I got Esophageal cancer, This cancer starts in the cells that line the esophagus (the tube that carries food from the throat to the stomach) and usually occurs in the lower part of the esophagus, it is the worst cancer one can get so how are you going to save me?" He said with sarcasm
"That depends now doesn't it, you can either pray to be cured and die or you can be my Consigliere?" I said while taking another sip of my drink
"A Consigliere? now I am sure that you're just fooling around, get lost kid before I get angry" He said and put his hands on his head again
"You really are stubborn aren't you, I mean I can save you but you don't want to believe it even though you have nothing to lose"
He looks at me again, he seems to be pondering about something, after a while he opened his mouth "So if I become your Consigliere you will cure my cancer, then I will become your Consigliere so let's how you cure me?" He said
"Say that you vow become my Consigliere and will always be loyal to me, and if you're not, let the heavens shatter your soul?"
"I vow to become your Consigliere and will always be loyal to you, and if I am not, let the heavens shatter my soul!"
The moment he finished speaking his soul shook to the point where he could feel it, he went pale and information about the vow entered his head, he could feel something hold his soul.
"What happened?" He asked as his face turned normal again
My lips curved upwards and I smiled at him "The vow is done, if you go back on your words your soul will shatter, now to cure you"
I pressed his chest with my hand sent information to his soul about a martial arts technique which allows a person to control his cells and make his body stronger like the [Sleeping Lion] but it is weaker, it's named [The Phoenix]

8 123Virtual reality: Sorp
Sorp is something bordering on what it is to be human. Perhaps he is more human. He has lived in squalor, his only family are the friends he grew up with. This is their journey through the new substitution for reality. In this virtual reality, they are given a purpose they never thought to seek out for themselves. To be more than hooligans. To be more than the bottom of the barrel. They do this in their own way. Unhindered by usual moral discrepancies. Ready to fight, kill and maim on a whim. Warning: This story does contain graphic descriptions of a sexual nature, violent fights, blood shed, gore and at times, crude language. There are also acts that are considered immoral or evil committed by main characters, so this story may not be for the faint of heart.

8 82The Oresteia (Modernized)
All three of the great Greek Tragedians have written plays about the bloody chain of murder and revenge within the royal family of Argos. Yet theirs is in fact not a story of tragedy, but rather one of redemption. As they move from darkness to light, from rage to self-governance, from primitive ritual to civilized institution, their spirit of struggle and regeneration becomes an everlasting song of celebration to be heard throughout the ages. Forming a discourse set against the emergence of Athenian democracy out of a period of chaos and destruction, the Orestian plays are compelling stories of the tensions between our obligations to our families and the laws that bind us together as a society. In the beginning, we witness how a king’s decision to sacrifice his daughter and turn the tide of war inflicts lasting damage on his family, culminating in a terrible act of retribution. In the aftermath of regicide, we behold how a son must set out to avenge his father’s death by committing a most egregious sin. In the end, the sinner is tormented by supernatural powers that can never be appeased, but ultimately finds redemption and ends the curse on his house once and for all. Woven through all of this is the story of a friendship so close that it elevates itself to brotherhood - Where the blood of the covenant is shown to be indeed thicker than the water of the womb. In this very brief twelve-chapter modern rendition of the Orestian plays, I have chosen to place my focus mainly on the lives of the characters Orestes and his best friend Pylades. The chapters, each around 2000-2500 words, are split up evenly between them in first-person narrative. I hope that you will come to enjoy reading this heartwarming story, but more importantly, that you see how the conflicts portrayed in the story, whether human or institutional, are still much very relevant to our societies today. Note on Sources: The details of this story is very loosely based on The Oresteia by Aeschylus. And I mean very loosely. Other sources that I referenced for detail and inspiration are Mythology by Edith Hamilton, Electra by Sophocles, and Iphigenia in Tauris by Euripides. You may also find that I have quoted some of these works, and others (such as Shelley's Ozymondaeus), without citations (average of 1-2 such quotes per chapter). I did this because I do not have the ability to describe certain scenes nearly as well as some of those writers. If you read a particularly beautiful piece of prose here, chances are it's probably stolen lol. Also, I wrote this during the summer between my high school senior year and my college freshmen year. It was the summer of 2020, and being quarantined apparently gets my creative side out lol.
8 191The Lost City of Maeros (Working title)
Fen and her sister are orphans. A dead mother, a missing father. They make due. While her sister works to support them, Fen dreams of adventure, to board one of the great, flying ships and explore the world. But her birthday is coming, and the time for dreaming will come to an end. A special necklace, a map and a message will soon send Fen out into the world in hopes of finding her father and healing her family. It seems however, that she isn't the only one looking for him. NOTE - This is a Work in Progress/Early draft. I try to catch errors as I type, but more than likely I will miss some things at this stage. The primary focus is plot and story.
