Chapter 159: Floor after Floor
Excerpt from the book “Energies of the world” By Rosalie
How I hate the energies of the overworld. So boring; so tame. Mundane reality has only the most basic forms of energy, nature, and mana. Of course, those who live within the overworld were unhappy.
So came the time the pure world was tainted with more extreme and exotic energies. Tainted seems like the wrong word until you see what they actually are doing.
How foolish we were, complex mana energies using dimensional energy like the nether. The infernal animus witches, with every spell, bled infernal corruption into the world. Slowly warping the natural state of local mana, creating radical new species, and destroying less flexible species.
Of course, these changes are slow and take many generations to be noticeable. Yet, through research, I can see those changes. Yet, it will never be stopped. The world needs these new energies, for it would stagnate without them. Thankfully, the world rejects these energies, meaning they quickly dissipate if unused for some time.
We are going to be covering the verified changes the world has seen through foreign energy.
My nap was quick, dreamless, and refreshing. Sometimes I wish all rests were so peaceful, but I feel I would miss my dreams quickly. Even if my life is the fantasy I once upon a time dreamed about.
Shaking my head in hopes my morning fog will disappear. It didn’t work, but the action soothed my addled mind. There is a reason being tired and drunk have the exact same consequences when you drive.
Getting up, I head downstairs with haste. Preparing some fruit porridge, the closest thing I have to sugared cereal. Mentally noting to check my recipes for sugary cereal. “Can’t believe I didn’t bother to check.”
Quickly finishing the food while Chic swings back and forth on the doorway. Rolling my eyes at the overactive spider. At least she keeps herself occupied while I am doing random crap.
Food and sleep done, I do a quick run around the island. Get my blood pumping and prepare for the jobs for the day. Planning to continue work on the iron cube, as I’ve taken to calling it until it has an official name.
Heading towards the ugly monster, I image the methods in which I can decorate the outside. Without compromising its durability, of course, that would be counterintuitive to the whole build. The challenge is staying inside the box in this case.
On to the second floor, what should I prepare? Health room and library, what more do we need among this theme? How about a calm meditative area.
Heading to the next room, I add grass floors with a small dirt path and mini stream. Inverted sky blocks above and painted forests onto the walls. Channeling my inner Bob Ross to get the best trees I can.
Enjoying a moment of tranquility within the room; before moving on.
Opting to leave the last room as is. It can be used for whatever is needed. Skipping to the next floor, I begin work on a small residential area. The outside area of the circular room is a walkway to access the whole floor.

I divided the floor into 2 bathrooms, 2 toilets, and all the remaining space became bedrooms. Each bedroom is for a single person, with 1 bed, 1 chest, 1 radio, 1 draws, 1 table, 1 chair… A lot of ones.
The room was decorated with inverted sky blocks, carpeted floors, and randomized color walls.
The next floor is for Me, friends, family, and anyone larger than 1-2 people. The quarter for me, making a massive bedroom for myself.
This bedroom being mine, it is required to be top tier. I don’t make the rules. Chuckling to myself. Well, I have a plan.
Heading home, I use gold and Redstone to make a 32x height map. Or, in other words, a hologram.
Making a cartographer, I carefully place the height map within. Watching as a little drone shoots out, rapidly scanning the area. A bar next to the map fills slowly while the drone does its stuff. Not being that patient, I use a little liquid time to super-boost the whole process.
It was rather comical, watching the drone zoom around like a dog on cocaine. Once complete, I remove the heightmap.
Crafting a height map projector to display it. Quickly testing it out, I marvel at the 3d image of the area around my home. Using my fingers, I can zoom in and out. Packing it up, returning back to the iron cube to continue my decorating. Almost jumping in excitement at the thought of making the room. Truly, I’m a builder at heart.
Standing before my large area, I begin with the bed. Placing my bed to the left, an extra-large black and white bed. The bed ended up being 3x4 meters in size. Due to the sheer size, I had to resist the temptation to jump in it.
Surrounding my bed, I placed a draw on either side, 2 crystal chests at the foot, and some inverted sky blocks above. Making sure to add a lever, allowing for me to turn them on and off. On the opposite side of the room, I left the absolute center clear. Around it, I placed furniture like sofers, along with foldout tables, a small fireplace, and a large rug. Some chairs are off to the side. With a small living area and a sleeping area, I move to the center of the room. Creating a table with chairs around it and the projector in the middle of the table. Turning it on, creating a massive hologram that covered the table.
I added carpet on most of the floor and made my entire room red and brown, tastefully placed wood decorations and paintings. A small bookshelf stands along with one of the walls, next to a clock and season clock. A few armor stands are nearby, one with duplicate awakened draconium armor. No upgrades, because screw that. Perhaps I will find another endgame armor to add to the other suit of armor.
I slipped in a small shower in one of the corners with a toilet, hidden by a thin wooden barrier. The whole room looks good but a little cramped. Still, I am happy with it.

Now, onto the rest of the rooms. Dividing the remaining 3 quarters into 6 rooms. Each with 2-4 beds, a small bathroom, a small dining area, a radio, and some free space for whatever they might want.
Sighing in relief at having completed half the construct. From this point on, I will be constructing more functional rooms. The entire bottom half holds residentially, food, and small amenities. The exciting stuff will be above it, with only some people allowed to access it.
Cracking my knuckles, stretching my limbs and attempting to touch my toes, and failing. I head up to the next floor. Thinking of what functional rooms I am going to need.
Dividing the floor into 4, I get to work. The first room will be the teleportation entrance. A telepad encased in a massive amount of shields. Making sure to add a glass layer around the 3x3x3 box for future warding. I also reinforced everything with more octuple compressed cobblestone. Being left with a lot of space; that I couldn’t reasonably leave empty forced me to make a waiting area. To exit the telepad, you walk through a security door, through the shield, into the waiting area. Which is also enclosed in glass and shielding.
The waiting area is a small seating area with a table, chairs, a carrot plant in the corner, and a bonsai tree. I then used the same process to add an exit to the waiting area, giving them access to the rest of the building.
With security on the brain, I opted to limit access to certain areas. The waiting area led to below the floor, using stairs and elevator blocks.
To access the functional floors, I created a secret entrance that is shielded to allow select personnel in. Camouflaged to look like a normal wall, it leads to an elevator up to the fourth floor.
With that done, I create my next room, the clone chamber. Segregated mini rooms lead to cramped shell creation and storage units. These are designed for multiple people. Small, cramped, efficient; feels like japan’s pod hotels. Each room has a unique security door, holograms for names, and a single chair within each. My personal clone unit will be somewhere else. The clone room was decorated with a very basic black and white style.
The third room is something quite exciting. Given the sheer quantity of rooms, let’s make a security room. A nice cozy room with a fireplace, comfy chair, reinforced door, and a wall of monitors. Crafting the respective CCTV cameras and placing them in each room after bonding them to the monitor. We now have an easy method to monitor everywhere. To finish the room, I make it feel very warm and cozy. Someone might spend a lot of time here; it is only fair it is warm and pleasant to be in. Paintings on the wall, a small fountain, a few potted plants, and a red-brown color pallet; making the whole place feel warm and inviting.
Of course, there is enough room for more levels. But I am opting to leave the empty space for future expansions and or secret floors. For now, I have 5 more normal-sized rooms and 1 massive room at the top.
Given the proximity to the cloning area, it is only right that my genetic area is on the same floor. Quickly placing and automating the whole thing with pipes this time. Few cables, item transporters, speed upgrades, and automatic selector, and it is fully automated. Something I should have done a while ago, but I was lazy. Given like all the rooms, I have a ton of space left, I opted to create a wall. Sighs from end to end, detailing the cells you can get from each creature. It’s not perfect; a lot of creatures I haven’t checked. But it functions. Placed a bunch of chests inside for all the cells.
This room was decorated with marble, really giving a clean and sanitary feel. It is one of the more scientific fields. A few cleverly placed marble pillars, burnt quartz decorations, and golden writing really brought the room together.
The next floor it is. Given the size of each of the floors, I think both ars magic and thaumcraft can fit in one; by a hair. Although, perhaps it is better to keep them separate. They are both large mods, just like blood magic.
With my choice made, the first room is dedicated to thaumcraft and electrolobs wizardry. Given how little space the latter needs, it is mostly thaumcraft. Creating a small area designated for the advanced form of item crafting. Adding some chests, decorating it with a nice spruce finish. I also added XP bushes and an enchanting area with some of the spare space. Leaving most of it empty, given thaumcraft quickly eats up space. The priority is being able to do some of it; if I need to do something that needs monumental space, it can wait. Or I can install a magic mirror. Actually, getting a bunch of magic mirrors is just a good idea. I will be doing that after getting thaumcraft warding.
Suddenly realizing I should add Jengal and Cassie to the shields, I quickly do it. Also adding Sling, Chic, and Rex to them, as well.
The next room is going to be ars magic. Creating all the stuff and setting it up. I wonder if the celestial power source will work with inverted sky blocks. I doubt it; my luck isn’t that good. “Best to focus my energy on functional,” I repeat once more. Adding the most basic form of an obelisk, a high-quality spell crafting area, and a full upgraded table. If I need the sun, I will go outside. The only situation I won’t have access to sunlight is in select dimensions and space.
Falling back, I need a break. Dinner sounds good.

Evo-Gaming
Evolution based StarCraft story with game-like elements. Everyone gets a good cheat-like system with well design UI and player-friendly system. I get this broken piece of shit Alpha version. Not to mention, that starting at the very bottom is not that fun. Oh well, let's hope things get better later. Warning - If you read this now, you will be essentially beta tester. The story will include biology, chemistry, but will not focus on it too hard. I aim to please both groups but inevitably will probably alienate both the people who dislike the subject and the ones who like it.

GLADIUS // Eret X Reader
PHANTASM SERIES BOOK 4---Gladius, (noun): (in ancient Rome) a short sword.---Eret perked up as soon as you and Simon walked into the room, a wide and welcoming smile coming onto his face. He was softer looking than his father had been, but you could still see some of the similar traits. He had a head of thick dark curls, and the same sharp jaw that his father had had. He wasn't as bulky though - he was tall and thin - and his face was a lot more open. What separated him most from his father's likeness though was the colorful cape, and the large mirrored glasses he wore - swirling with colors reflected from the room. He stood from his seat when Maven let the doors swing shut behind her, that wide smile still on his face. "You must be the embassy.""And you must be King Eret." You said, stooping into a bow. "Oh, there's no need for that." Eret said as you rose from your bow. He stepped down from the dias where his throne sat - colorful cape trailing behind him - and came to stand in front of you, taking your hand instead. "I'm not really one for formalities." He grinned, shaking your hand. His palm was warm against yours, and you could feel some slight callouses - most likely from practicing his sword work.
